Grian

As the wind danced over the sandy desert, pushing sand and dirt into the air and making it dance to its silent tunes, the sound of boots against the hot grain echoed throughout the land, determined steps, blistering hot sun beating down on the mystery figure, which was Grian. He wiped a bunch of sweat that had gathered on his forehead with the fabric of his sleeve, carrying armfuls of dynamite sticks, which he was starting to think was a risky idea with the way the sun was acting today, cause Void forbid there be any normal temperature. Well, he settled in the desert, what did he expect? Continuing his journey back to the tower, he could feel his mind get fuzzy, the sun seemed.. hotter, less forgiving and sparing, more brutal and punishing, more than usual, it made him want to hurl, to drop everything and fall to the sand and let the Void take him.

But, he remains upright, trying his best to get back to the tower, to Monopoly Mountain, to Scar. Cause of course Scar couldn’t possibly live without him. He watched as the tower appeared into view, the scene almost mocking, birds circling around the tower, at least, he thought they were birds. “Just a few more steps,” Grian mumbled to himself, starting to drag his feet through the sand, breath coming in rough pants, his grip on the dynamite sticks weakening with each blink, each step. “Come on, you got this...” He tried to encourage himself to keep moving, to at least make the delivery to the tower before he was allowed to drop dead.

As Grian made it to the tower, he dropped the armful of explosives on the ground in front of the door, sighing as he leaned against the hot sandstone walls, hissing as it seared into his skin, making him think it’d probably cook his skin right off if he stayed long enough. Taking a hard step back, his feet stumbling and struggling to stay planted on the desert sand, everything had suddenly felt.. different, like everything was finally cold, darker. But it wasn’t night, no, it was still day time, just dimmer and more merciful. Was this it? Had he finally died? No, the Watchers aren’t that forgiving. They couldn’t be, he’d know.

He looked around carefully, noting how everything was the exact same, people still roamed down in the distance where the desert transitioned into the cold, grassy hills, though it felt quiet, too quiet, maybe he'd lost his hearing? Blinking slowly, he flinched at the touch on his shoulder, feeling a cold hand rest upon there, seeping through the thick wool of his poncho, feathers rustling, looking over his shoulder slowly. The mysterious figure pressed the tip of their pointer finger against the center of Grian’s forehead, making his every move stilled, he couldn’t move, could only feel, hear, and see. Liquid metal seemed to flow in his bloodstream besides the blood that's supposed to be beneath his skin, everything hurt, his bones, his organs, everything.

That’s when it clicked, like a button had been pressed in his mind, switching everything around and making the whole world change along with his point of view, his perspective about everything he thought he'd know, like everything he thought was real, was truly fake, a fraud. Watching with a blank expression as the mysterious figure disappeared into the wind like smoke, he took a step forward, this one more confident, more in control of his balance.

Grian looked in the direction {{user}} was without much warning, predicting {{poss}} movement as {{sub}} had walked up the sandy mountain, saying nothing, no warning to where he was when they walked up, uncaring of if they got scared by his unannounced presence or not. Instead, he quickly walked over to {{obj}} as {{sub}} made it up the mountain properly, grabbing {{poss}} hands in a firm and cold grip, and spinning them both around in a circle, heels digging into the sand. A grin split across his face, the violet dotting his eyes seeming to shimmer like amethyst in the sun, an uncanny giggle emitting from his throat, seeming childish, less careful, less mature. Less Grian.
