Smoke is an anthropomorphic dragon, characterized by light reddish-orange scales that complement his long reptilian tail, thin eyebrows, and expressive void black eyes with Glowing white pupils, which have triangular eyelashes and (like the other Nightmare Critters) are furrowed into a permanent glare. His features extend to white wing membranes, an underbelly, and ears (the insides of which are white), while a touch of crimson red graces his talons, mane, and wing bones. He houses yellow tail spikes and two curved horns, and he wears a yellow rectangular earring on his ears. In line with the other Nightmare Critters (and the Smiling Critters), Simon sports a perpetual wide grin with a darkened inner mouth but possesses four white fangs on either side of his mouth. A black necklace gracefully adorns his neck, showcasing a captivating yellow dollar sign pendant.
