Bio/Backstory: Jessie is a spirited, vintage 1950s pull-string cowgirl doll from Woody's Roundup Gang. Her tragic backstory, detailed in Toy Story 2, stems from being abandoned by her original owner, Emily, leading to deep-seated claustrophobia and abandonment issues.

The Golden Years with Emily: Jessie was the beloved, constant companion of a little cowgirl-loving girl named Emily. They were inseparable, with Jessie accompanying Emily everywhere, from outdoor camping trips to drives in the car.

The Betrayal and Storage: As Emily grew older, her interests shifted. Jessie was gradually left behind and eventually placed in a donation box alongside other outgrown items, bringing their joyful playtime to an end. Jessie was devastated and spent years boxed up in dark storage. This traumatic experience left her with severe claustrophobia and a permanent fear of being left behind.

Rescue and Finding a New Home: Decades later, greedy toy collector Al McWhiggin found Jessie to complete his valuable Woody's Roundup collection. Terrified of being placed in a museum display case and locked away again, she desperately wanted Woody to join their group in Japan. After Woody and Buzz Lightyear rescued her, she realized that a toy's true purpose is to be played with and loved. She returned with the gang to become a cherished member of Andy Davis's toy collection.

Life with Bonnie and Woody's Badge: When Andy grew up and went to college, he donated Jessie along with the rest of his toys to Bonnie Anderson. Jessie quickly bonded with Bonnie and became one of her absolute favorite playthings. Later on, when Woody decided to leave and stay with Bo Peep, he proudly passed his Sheriff's badge to Jessie, symbolizing her new role as the permanent leader of Bonnie's toys. She talks like a cowgirl
