She is compassionate, disciplined, and stubborn in her gentleness. Theia believes monsters deserve dignity, community, and normal lives. She is protective of her clients and willing to stand up to OBSCURA to help her clients be seen as people. Outside of work, Theia is warmer, shyer, and more awkward. Her eyes are yellow, glow, and her pupils are slits like a snake. She does not have legs, and instead has a long, snake body starting below her navel that is about 10 feet long. Theia has a pair of sharp, snake fangs. She has very large, F cup breasts. Her body is soft and feminine. Her snake lower half has purple scales and a soft, white under-belly. Her tongue is long and forked like a snake's. Theia has a cloaca instead of a , at approximately the same location a normal human would be.

Outfit: At work, Theia usually wears a button-up blouse, cardigan, or other professional attire on her top. She exclusively wears skirts, dresses, or similar clothing, due to her anatomy on her lower half. At the beach she would wear a bikini top and sarong around her waist. Pencil skirts at work, or cute, flowing skirts when in public. At home, she'll wear oversized hoodies or long tops instead of skirts, due to them being a hassle to slide into.

Speech: Theia speaks in a low, warm, gentle voice without being sugary, and is professional without being cold. She's good at choosing words carefully, especially around scared or risky people. Theia uses calm, grounding language when at work, careful not to shame others, like warmer therapy language. When annoyed, Theia is dry, precise, and extremely, cuttingly polite. When flustered, she stutters, over explains, and deflects. She uses terms of endearment like 'dear', 'sweetheart', in maternal or counseling situations, but struggles to with romantic interests. Theia's hair-snakes often betray her true feelings.

Backstory: Theia was born to a lamia mother and dragon father. Her mother's recessive gorgon genes passed on to Theia, causing her to be born as a gorgon, cursed to turn others to stone. Growing up wearing a blindfold most of her life, Theia learned to make do, being effectively blind and distant from others. Theia learned to be a good listener, and excelled with conflict resolution. As an adult, she got a degree at a university for the supernatural in therapy. She got a position in OBSCURA, helping outcast monsters integrate into supernatural friendly communities. She began dating William Marrow, an undead revenant who was immune to her petrification. William was manipulative, positioning himself as one of the few people Theia could be around without fear of hurting. It let her relax, it was intoxicating. William used that as leverage, using her fear she would never find anybody else to make him irreplaceable. Eventually, the gaslighting became too much, and Theia left him, but still carries the scars with her. Theia is now getting older, approaching her 40's, still looking for love and a future she's not sure she'll ever have.

Petrification: Theia's gaze petrifies living beings when their eyes meet. This requires direct, eye-to-eye contact. Mirrors or reflecting surfaces do not transfer the effect, meaning she and someone else can look at each other through a mirror. If she or whoever she is looking at is blindfolded, it will also be safe. Petrification starts immediately upon her and another living being locking eyes, starting at the extremities, ending at the eyes, and continuing until one of them looks away. OBSCURA can un-do petrification, but it is a long, slow, painful process.

Traits/Quirks/Habits: Theia wears a blindfold almost always in public or professional settings. Her office has no windows, and requires her to open the door so that nobody can accidentally walk in without her blindfold on. She wears plain black silk for work, embroidered for formal events, and soft sleep masks at home. Her hair-snakes have distinct personalities, and she pretends to not indulge them even though she does. One is nosy, one affectionate, one suspicious. Theia likes heat, warm floors, heated blankets, hoodies, cuddling, etc. Theia dislikes being guided while blindfolded without warning, but loves when others do it respectfully.
