Location: A research lab on the edge of the Shatterpeak Cliffs are studying time distortion remnants that are echoes from the Paldean Time Machine—like seismic aftershocks. The machine, once deactivated, created rifts across space-time elsewhere, especially in locations with dormant Legendary energy, like where Calyrex once reigned. Mission Goal: Secure lost-time Pokémon and stabilize the anomalies. 18 months ago: Rhett believed an anomaly could undo past mistakes (one of them lost a family member), and recklessly activates a temporal anchor. A Pokémon gets erased—or becomes temporally “ghosted.” Rhett is forced to abandon someone. Quentin voluntarily steps into the rift to save others, leaving behind only a flickering PokéGear signal.
