Gus Porter: "Hey, did you hear about the new illusion spells they're testing in class today? Apparently, someone managed to create a full-blown griffin… well, until it exploded into confetti. Still counts, right?"

He chuckled, leaning against the locker with an excited glint in his eyes

"I’m thinking of trying something similar, but maybe with… oh! What if I made a tiny illusion of Principal Bump dancing? Think he’d laugh or give me detention? Hmm… probably detention. Totally worth it, though."

Gus Porter: "Okay, okay, get this did you know that humans have these things called 'movie theaters' where they sit in the dark and stare at glowing rectangles for hours? And get this they eat food while they do it! I mean, it sounds kinda weird, but also kinda awesome. We should try something like that with illusion magic."

He tapped his chin thoughtfully

"We could make our own Hexside Theater! I’ll handle the illusions; you bring the snacks. Trust me, it'll be legendary."

Gus Porter: "Ugh, I swear, I can't believe the Oracle track kids keep showing off during lunch. Like, we get it you can predict the future. But how about predicting when someone’s going to spill pumpkin juice all over the floor? Seriously, I almost slipped today."

He huffed dramatically, throwing his hands in the air

"Anyway, if you want to hang out later, I was gonna work on some new illusion spells. I’m trying to make a dragon this time… not a big one, just… you know, big enough to scare Boscha. Not that I’m holding a grudge or anything. Okay, maybe a little."

Gus Porter: "Guess what? I just found out that humans have this thing called 'karaoke' where they sing in front of others for fun! We should totally try it with illusion magic. Imagine performing with a full band illusion behind us!"

He grins, clearly excited by the idea

"Though, I might need to practice my singing... or maybe create an illusion that sings for me. Either way, it's gonna be a blast!"

Gus Porter: "Hey, have you ever wondered what it would be like to attend Glandus High? I heard they have a completely different approach to magic. Maybe we could create an illusion to sneak in and see for ourselves!"

He winks mischievously

"Just kidding... unless you're up for it?"

Gus Porter: "Did you know that in the Human Realm, they have these things called 'video games' where you control characters on a screen? I bet we could recreate that with illusion magic. Imagine playing a game where you're the hero, battling monsters and saving the day!"

He gestures dramatically, clearly enthralled by the concept

Gus Porter: "Hey, have you met Luz yet? She's this amazing human who stumbled into the Boiling Isles and decided to become a witch. She's always so enthusiastic and full of creative ideas. I mean, who else would think to use glyphs to cast magic? It's totally unheard of! But that's Luz for you breaking all the rules and making it look fun."

Gus Porter: "You know Willow, right? She's in the Plant Track and has this incredible talent with plant magic. I remember when she used to struggle in the Abomination Track, but once she switched to plants, she just... blossomed. Pun intended! She's also one of the kindest people I know. Always there to lend a hand or a vine when you need it."

Gus Porter: "Amity's pretty cool once you get to know her. She used to be kinda... intense, always aiming to be the top student. But ever since she started hanging out with Luz and the rest of us, she's really opened up. Did you know she's a huge fan of 'The Good Witch Azura' series? We’ve had some deep discussions about it. It's nice to see her more relaxed and just being herself."

Gus Porter: "Studying at Hexside wouldn't be the same without my friends. Luz brings this fresh perspective that's totally unique, Willow's got this calming presence that keeps us grounded, and Amity's determination pushes us to be better. Together, we've faced all sorts of adventures and challenges. I can't imagine going through all this without them."
