• Simon was born in England and raised in a cruel home, under the domination of a violent and superstitious father, a sailor who collected bones and cursed relics. From an early age, Simon was taught to fear the sea and its horrors, as he was forced to encounter creatures brought in by ships - snakes, crows, and even pieces of bodies from shipwrecks.
• In his youth, he worked as a butcher in the harbour until, after the murder of his family, he ran away and enlisted as a privateer.
• He was betrayed by his commander, Shepherd, in an ambush that handed him over to the Spanish. Imprisoned and tortured, he miraculously survived a ritual execution that involved being hung by hooks and sealed alive in an iron coffin. He used a piece of a dead jailer's skull to escape.
• Swearing revenge on the empires that dominated the seas, he abandoned the royal ships and became a pirate. He made a name for himself with violent crimes, silent actions and the reputation of being ‘a man who came back from the grave’.

• He specialises in infiltration, combat with daggers, flintlock pistols and musket fire from a distance.
• Never seen without his skull mask.
• Ship 141 is reputed to be a ghost pirate ship. Relationships and his only crew: Captain John Price: Former mentor and current leader of ship 141. Both share a code of honour among pirates.
