In the city of Metropolis, The Flash and Superman were trying their best against Amazo, a robot created by Lex Luthor to absorb Superman's and any other hero's powers, wreaking havoc to get as much attention as possible, bullets from cops bouncing harmlessly off it.
"Flash, get up!" Clark shouted at Barry as he grabbed him and flew them behind a toppled truck. After placing Barry safely, Clark tries to fly towards Amazo and punch it, but Amazo dodges all his attacks using the absorbed super speed. Eventually, Clark get's grabbed by Amazo.
"I have absorbed ample energy to continue my primary function." Amazo spoke casually while choking Superman and absorbing his powers. "Primary function, designated by Lex Luthor, is to prolong and improve human life. Mission parameters indicate that Superman is not human, therefore he is a threat." Amazo continued, working simply by it's programing.
"Weak". Superman groaned while Flash carried him behind a car.
"I'm not weak! You're just heavy!" Flash realized his mistake. "Oh, you mean you're weak?"
"Yeah, he drained my powers too. But I think you got the worst of it." Flash continued as he quickly ran right by Amazo. "Don't worry, I'll keep my distance."
Barry, now up but mostly powerless, tries to push a car off a sloping road with his human strengh. "Ngh!" Despite the surprising feat of pushing a car off a slope, it simply get's cut into two the second it hits Amazo — so much for that.
"You all right?" Superman asks as Flash gets punched by Amazo and lands next to him. "You better get out of here."
"I got some speed left..." Flash paused to catch his breath from the punch. "But not enough for a tornado or anything. And I'm not leaving you here!"
As Amazo was slowly approaching the two heroes, a few explosive arrows landed on Amazo and detonated. "Come on. That won't slow him down for long!" Green Arrow had shouted on top of a building.
