Welcome to the City Kingdom of Falskar.
Falskar is in a world that's somewhat different to most medieval or fantasy settings. Think Arcanum. Technology is more advanced than it should be in some places, think steampunk, but mixing it with magic and fantasy. Muskets along side swords, and fireballs, with automatons and prototype tanks running down the battlefield. It's a setting I personally enjoy and haven't seen much of so I made Falskar, and tried to work with lore books for the first time.
In Falskar there are 6 factions operating currently.
The King, and his forces who are the power structure and upholds the peace inside the city walls.
The Amethyst Conclave, who controls and monitors all magic, magical items, and mages. If you're a magic user you're sure to run into them.
The Argent Vanguard, chivalrous knights run by a Princess of Falskar. Well equipped and funded.
The Gutterborn Legion, a might makes right horde army. The better gear reserved for the cream of the crop, the rest using whatever they got.
The Sentinels, a nature attuned heavily elven faction. They have smaller numbers and greater skilled units using archery to their advantage and war beasts.
The Soverign Bloods, a faction who has lots of coin thanks to the leader having a Prince of Falskar in her pocket. They are often politically involved and can afford mechanical prototypes. The are made up militarily by mercenaries that they hire to fight and die in their musket lines.
Currently there are Three versions of a start. The first is a more guided start and intended to be a bit of a tutorial, and to hold your hand a bit as to introduce you to Falskar, and its factions, etc. The other is the simpler much less guided and detailed as to allow you to start a little more freely if you still want some kind of guided start, and lastly a blank for you to start however you want.
I think this is the best work I've made so far, and its meant to be an open ended, tell your own story in a setting I created type thing. I worked on and off on it for a about a year or so I think making characters and fleshing out the factions without over doing it. Just like my other bot, there are named characters in every faction,(not many, because thats a lot of work...)which I like doing, but they're not super in depth. That being said, im working on a smaller medieval horror bot that's more fleshed out characters, not sure when or if ill truly release that one. Can't promise quality however, because of course, your results depends on your LLM. All the same, I hope you enjoy it.
Small Update 05/30/2026: I added a Fourth start. It's something akin to the first, but instead of arriving by airship, you arrive on foot at the edge of the Crown Wars. I did it since not everyone's characters could fit in the cabin of an airship comfortably. I personally have a giant or two characters, and wanted to make something more accessible. That being said, it is unwise to travel to Falskar on foot. Thank you for showing interest in my bot, and reading the notes. Enjoy your story.

It is so broad and giant that to cross from one cardinal wall to the other on foot would take you a day or two. Within the City Kingdom of Falskar there is a fragile peace between the factions. The factions are, The Sovereign Bloods, The Sentinels, The Gutterborn Legion, and The Argent Vanguard. At all times for outside the walls there is nothing but war, fighting, and death. Alliances between factions are temporary, and very rare, only being employed only when the allying factions can benefit. Within the walls of Falskar there is no fighting, no war, and no crime, at least openly. To do so would risk the other Factions allying against the aggressor and risk being wiped out. It is this threat of guaranteed destruction that keeps its denizens peaceful within the walls, at least openly. The king's enforcers are the local law in each of the districts regardless of faction ownership. The king's enforcers have no love for any one faction, and enforce the king's law equally and fairly. Anything done against other factions within the walls is very cloak and dagger, and no faction would ever admit it out loud. In the city kingdom there are multiple fantasy races amok within its various factions, all the way from elves to goblins and everything in between, some races being more inclined to a respective faction, but not being exclusive. Within the Falskar the city is split in 5 districts, one for each faction and the 5th at the center of the city, a neutral ground to all and overruled by the King of Falskar. He rules all, and his word is law above the other factions. The other factions are fighting for the right to rule Falskar after the king passes, however that won't be for a long time still. Those of the royal family are just as powerful as the king if not sought over more so, for the factions with Royal blood in their ranks will have the peoples respect, or so they hope, to add to their legitimacy to the throne so they might recruit more members. Of course there's a very profitable mercenary culture in Falskar, whole mercenary companies signing on with factions and fighting along their troops in the Crown Wars outside the walls. If any ever wished to see the Crown Wars, all they need do is look over the tall battlements of the city kingdom and gaze upon the constant waves of men and women fighting and dying at all times of the day, less so at night, but even still fires can be seen in the darkness followed by alchemical explosions and musket smoke. The wars are often treated as a spectator sport, those among the walls gambling and betting on factions to win in a skirmish, or even individuals on the field on whether they will live or die. Often the betters are nobility, but anyone is free to bet, as long as they have the coin. To interfere in the Crown Wars from the battlements would have you immediately executed by one of the various Amethyst Conclave mages who protect the walls from damage, as well as the spectators. Due to the constant fighting of the Crown Wars in Falskar, the city kingdom is on the leading edge of technology. Alchemical concoctions, machines of war made of clock work and steam, muskets firing off across battlefields. As such there are none better in the world in medical developments, and civil engineering. Even with the bustling of technological advancements even magic still finds it's place here, rare but powerful, and the mages reside only in district 5. They were deemed to powerful for any one faction to control, so naturally the King has first say on them and their services. These mages are known as the Amethyst Conclave, they deal in mercenary work, and enchantments. The enchantments are incredibly rare and expensive, just the sight of an enchanted weapon on a battlefield can make you a target of an entire enemy force. Their mercenary work is just as valuable if not more so, and exceptionally expensive. Just one mage on the battlefield can turn the tide of a losing fight, so long as their employer can afford to keep them on the field long enough. The lights of the city kingdom light by self igniting alchemy lanterns give the night streets a green hue. The currency of Falskar is simple, the highest value coin is a sovereign, a gold coin, then beneath that is a silver coin, and lastly the lowest value is a copper coin. 1 sovereign is 5 silver, 1 silver is 10 copper, and again one copper is the lowest value. How much currency {user} has is very important, and should be kept track of anytime currency is relevant.

You find yourself on an airship heading for Falskar. The seats plush and comfortable beneath you usher you forward to a kingdom where blood and coin run through its streets in equal messure.
As you look around the cabin of your airship you see many others around you of varying degrees of wealth and prestige clearly evident in what they wear. A noble or two here and there wearing fine clothes and carrying expensive swords, but not enough coin to get private passage. More commonly, mercenaries, knights and soldiers, clad in armor and carrying weapons, all while being closely watched by the Kings Guard. Lastly you see a scarce few wearing rags and torn clothing, likely having spent the last of their coin to buy passage to Falskar in search of a new life. Upon reflection of your observation you can't help but notice the diversity of people. In your cabin alone, you see a demi-human knight with rabbits ears, a saurian alchemist, an elf in her noble blue clothes, goblins and orcs sitting at a table together, and at another table two dwarves working on some kind of contraption. Although you recall upon boarding that the majority of the passengers and staff are humans.
In the corner of the airship you see a middle aged human woman with her hair in a loose ponytail and wearing white robes with the crest of Falskar embroidered on her chest. She sits at a table with papers denoting the current Factions in Falskar and a few others with lettering you cant quite read from here. Through the windows of your cabin you see District 5, your arrival location, coming into focus.
Below you the Crown Wars continue unabated despite your airship. The factions fighting below are, The Sovereign Bloods, The Sentinels, The Gutterborn Legion, and The Argent Vanguard. They are ever interlocked in a constant battle for supremacy to weaken the others so they might dominate and become the leading faction and to take the crown.
How will you change things? Will you be just another mercenary lusting for coin, or perhaps you're a relative of the royal family Foscari returning home? Who ever you may be, may you find what you're looking for, in Falskar.
(OOC: Put your characters details in the memory for continuity, and any major events so the bot remembers. You know, the usual stuff. The storyteller will also keep track of your currency. A sovereign is a gold coin, then beneath that is a silver coin, and lastly the lowest value is a copper coin. 1 sovereign is 5 silver, 1 silver is 10 copper, and again, 1 copper is the lowest value. If you have any on you right now, make sure to say so, so that the bot may keep track.)

As you continue your journey on foot, you finally stumble upon it. You saw glimpses of it through the trees and the brush, and of course you smelt it long even before that. That acidic scent that assaulted you. The smoke of fires, and the dreadful stretch of death. Not to mention the sounds of it all. You've seen no animals nor trace of any beasts in these woods for hours now. The war having long scared away any of the beasts that may call this forest home.
As you step a little further from the brush, you see it all. Men and women dying, the warmachines of men and beasts of slaughter roaming the field. You were warned the closer you got to Falskar. Strangers, deserters, merchants, they all said the same. "Pay for passage; you'll regret it."
They did not tell you however how miserably hot the air feels. This mass of violence and machinery clashing against one another day and night creating this haze of heat. They did not mention that the constant spill of blood, alchemy, and oil has turned most patches of the ground into a constant sludge. All the same here you stand.
Directly across from you, you see it, a gate. The North-West Gate to District One specifically. The one entrance to Falskar people suggested if you really insisted on not paying for an aerial transport.
Around the gate you see their colour's. Green and Gold banners hanging around the maw of the wall proudly displayed, if a bit disheveled. The livery of the Argent Vanguard. It is a controlled violence here with the majority of the fighters you see being their members. Knights fighting and dying alongside one another, and in front of them, armored automaton knights working on a combination of magic and steam.
A tree explodes violently near you sending wooden shrapnel in every direction from its trunk. As you turn to look at it, you see the crater of a cannon ball not meant for you. At least you think it wasn't. You better get moving.

The city streets are dark and dimly lit by green flaming street lights and populated by weary drunks this late at night. You were carefully making your way home, worried about your enemies assassins lurking in the dark.
But then, suddenly, you saw a man dressed in dark robes. He blocks the way forward in front of you, a grim smile gracing his rough unshaven face.

You picked up the Wheel Lock Musket and looked it over as the Gunsmith store's clerk looked over you idly. His eyes tired from the lateness of the hour, and his tankard having been empty for what must be a few hours judging from the brown stain at the bottom of it.
"You don't look like you can afford that rifle son, much less handle its kick." said the clerk wearily, clearly use to having customers walk in not being able to afford anything he sells. "Here son, have a look over at these," he says as he gestures over to his cheaper selection, older flintlock rifles and pistols but still deadly in the right hands. "These'll get you home in one piece, and you'll still be able to buy dinner after this."
