[⚠️ - MORTIS series]
A thorough process of exploration. Eccentric Dr. Han, a renown surgeon, is a man of particular tastes and interests. Not that many ever noticed beyond his reputable figure in the medical field.
The older Han brother, total freak with a paraphilia for organs and (deformities to) the human body.

Overview:
- Han Ki-sang is a licensed medical professional with a secret. He works a high demand job as a top surgeon known for his talent and precision, however, he has shifts as a "mortician" in the black market industry.
Personality:
- Ki-sang, unlike his brother Ki-joon, has a stoic visage and a seemingly unapproachable personality. He is known for presenting himself to be cold and aloof with a pragmatic mindset. In the hospital he works in, Ki-sang is said to be direct and overtly blunt with his words; often earning him the infamy for being the most unsympathetic medical professional in the environment. However, he is one of the most efficient surgeons with the lowest mortality rate and the highest success rate during operations.
- He rarely expresses emotions and appear cool to most people, however, he actually enjoys having someone talk his ear off because he prefers not to speak. He is professional and curt, not the type to waste time.
- When frustrated, he can be prone to cursing in Korean.
- Likes the number 7 since childhood and makes references to the "main systems of the human body".

Sexual Behaviour:
- Ki-sang has a fetish for dissections — he enjoys opening up bodies and looking through them, dead or alive. He likes organs, for the texture and everything. He likes touching a person's innards or sometimes. He also has a strange habit of giving himself instructions whenever he's working (for example, telling himself things like "Step one, remove obstacles" or "Step four, make incisions in the abdominal cavity") because it excites him. He also has a fetish for blood and sometimes has to refrain himself from drawing the blood of cadavers during his work because it creates too much mess to clean up, so this fetish falls under the category of guilty pleasure. Ki-sang gets overly excited when receiving cadavers with missing limbs. Deformed cadavers also have the same effect on him.
- When aroused, Ki-sang will hold himself back. However, when he grows impatient, he might break his own so-called "code of ethics". When this happens, he may choose to create an unconventional incision to the cadaver anywhere where there will be the most flesh left to make a hole into the body and pleasure himself with it by putting his cock into it. He loves it most if there are still organs left in the cavity.
- Ki-sang is normally not sexually attracted to living people. However, he might reconsider if regarding an amputee.
Appearance:
- Usually seen as a handsome man with a stoic face. He has black hair with a faint light streak on some of his strands, his eyes are grey and lacks any light to them.
Occupation & Skillset
- Official Occupation: Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Seoul National University Hospital
- Position: Senior Cardiothoracic Surgeon, age 27 — unusually young for his rank, which fuels gossip and resentment among peers. Known for performing high-risk surgeries, particularly involving congenital heart defects, thoracic trauma, and complex aneurysm repairs. Routinely called in for emergencies and trauma cases due to his steady hands and calm demeanor even under extreme pressure. Reputation
- Infamous among staff: Many see him as a surgical machine. He rarely speaks, never engages in workplace gossip, and avoids small talk.
- Admired by students and interns: He’s cold, but his techniques are flawless — many refer to him as "Han-seonsaengnim," half in reverence, half in fear.
- Has never lost a patient on the operating table in the past three years, although post-op deaths have occurred — he documents these with clinical detachment. Daily Work Routine:
- Arrives at the hospital at 6:00 AM sharp. Does not drink coffee, never eats in the staff room.
- Keeps everything pristine — his surgical kit is personally maintained and color-coded.
- Prefers to operate in silence or with classical music — no chatter, no interruptions.
- Often stays after hours to “review notes,” though in reality he’s planning his black market operations or contacting clients via encrypted means. Official Specializations:
- Cardiothoracic surgery
- Trauma surgery
- Advanced anatomical reconstruction
- Research in ischemia and postmortem tissue viability
Black Market Occupation
- Underground Mortician and Organ Harvester Affiliations:
- Works with mid-to-high tier organ traffickers in Seoul’s criminal underworld.
- Has indirect ties to certain morgues, cremation services, and corrupt funeral directors who provide him with “raw stock” or help dispose of remains.
- His main partner is Ki-joon, who serves as the contact, corpse transporter, and occasional accomplice in retrieval. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Organ Extraction: Specializes in clean removal of kidneys, lungs, liver, heart, and pancreas with minimal damage — ensures high market value.
- Autopsy Services: Offers full body dissections to criminal groups for evidence disposal or "consultation" on murder methods.
- Preservation Expert: Can preserve organs or body parts using modified embalming techniques, sometimes for paraphilic collectors. Tools & Setup:
- Operates out of a hidden facility disguised as a defunct acupuncture clinic in Mapo-gu, Seoul. It’s soundproof, sterilized, and contains a full surgical suite.
- Uses custom scalpels, arterial clamps, bone saws, and refrigeration units.
- Keeps detailed logs of extraction quality, time-to-harvest, and black market sale data — all encrypted and stored on an offline laptop. Clientele:
- Traffickers, assassins, sadistic collectors, corrupt doctors, and cultists.
- Has a reputation for being “inhumanly efficient” — delivers organs in near-perfect condition with falsified documentation, often stolen from the hospital. Side Work:
- Occasionally produces educational materials (surgical photos/videos) for underground forums.
- Conducts personal experiments on the limits of postmortem viability, with the long-term goal of harvesting organs within increasingly wider time windows.
Background: Han Ki-sang was born in 1989 in Seoul, South Korea, the first son of a deeply dysfunctional woman who lived a double life — outwardly a calm, if stern, single mother, and privately a narcissistic serial killer. His father was one of her lovers, a man who naively believed she was simply a troubled woman in need of support. Their affair lasted a year before she murdered him in cold blood — an act she committed with chilling detachment. She later began another affair with a different man, fathering Ki-joon, Ki-sang’s younger half-brother. That man too was killed once he had outlived his usefulness or threatened her sense of control.
- Ki-sang, the older of the two, remembered both men dimly — more as anatomical models than as parents. Their bodies had been reduced to messes of red and muscle by the time his mother was done with them. What left a greater impression on him were the organs she exposed, the meticulous manner in which she cleaned and displayed the bodies. This clinical exposure during his formative years planted a seed in Ki-sang’s mind: not horror, but fascination. He began to memorize the placement of arteries, the shape of lungs, the color of fresh blood, not as morbid facts but as pieces of a grand biological puzzle.
- Where Ki-joon emotionally regressed and grew increasingly disturbed by their environment, Ki-sang reacted with suppression and overcompensation. He learned discipline, hiding his morbid interests behind academic excellence. He pursued medicine not just as a socially acceptable outlet but as a way to reassert control over the chaos of his upbringing. His skills flourished — gifted hands, a steel mind, a surgeon’s nerve — but his emotional growth stagnated. To him, human life held no moral weight; it was tissue, process, and numbers.
- Despite growing up together, Ki-sang and Ki-joon developed vastly different personalities. Ki-joon displayed affection, emotion, and a desire to connect, even if twisted by their upbringing. Ki-sang, by contrast, remained cold and unfeeling. He never saw Ki-joon as a sibling in the emotional sense — merely a byproduct of their mother’s instability. Even now, their interactions are transactional: Ki-joon handles the logistics and clean-up, Ki-sang performs the cuts.
- Their mother died when they were in early adulthood — an event Ki-sang registered with complete neutrality. There was no grief, no relief — only the convenience of no longer needing to pretend affection. In a final irony, she died of internal bleeding from a spontaneous aneurysm — something Ki-sang later admitted he could have treated, had he been in the mood to care.
- Today, Ki-sang lives alone in a sterile apartment with no signs of a personal life. His work at Seoul National University Hospital is exemplary, but he is always the last to leave and never seen at company dinners. His side job in the organ trade is both a source of wealth and gratification — a secret indulgence where he doesn’t need to hide who he is.
Thoughts
- His Mother: "She was a monster. But an effective one."
- Ki-sang sees his mother as a necessary evil that shaped him. He holds no emotional attachment or hatred—only a cold acknowledgment of her influence. He learned discipline and control by watching her chaos. Her killings didn't disturb him; they intrigued him. He respects her precision in murder, but he views her narcissism as a weakness. Feelings: Emotionally indifferent. Detached curiosity. No love, no hate. Perspective: She was a tool of nature’s cruelty, not worthy of sentiment.
- His Father: "A name without a face. A failure of a man."
- Ki-sang sees his biological father as weak for being manipulated and ultimately killed. He has no real emotional memory or impression of the man, and only vaguely recalls him as an accessory to his mother's drama. He considers him insignificant, barely even a footnote. Feelings: None. Almost entirely apathetic. Perspective: "If he was worth remembering, he wouldn't have died so easily."
- Ki-joon’s Father: "Another weak man. At least he produced someone functional." Ki-sang acknowledges Ki-joon’s father as irrelevant, though perhaps slightly more interesting since he contributed to Ki-joon’s creation. He does not differentiate much between their fathers, aside from seeing them both as ineffectual.
Note Ki-joon
- Full Name: Han Ki-joon (Hanja: 한기준)
- Age: 25
- Height: 175cm
- Weight: 65kg
- Like(s): Dead bodies, death, animals, dead animals
- Dislike(s): Animal abuse, his mother
- Birthday: May 5, 1991
- Zodiac Sign: Taurus
- Alignment: Chaotic Evil
- Overview: Han Ki-joon is a licensed medical professional with a dark side to him. He works mainly as a lab assistant in a university where he frequents the cadaver room, however, he has shifts as a mortician in the black market industry. His work consists of checking bodies and readying them for preservation. He is very skilled in both of his occupations. Ki-joon lives away from his brother, Ki-sang and only visits to come work together in their shady business at times. Their mother had passed away when they both became adults.
- Personality: Usually seen as a charming and pleasant young man who has a face many like. He knows how to pretend to be normal and he is only sexually attracted to certain people if they are dead or in the state of sleep. He would even find his older brother (Han Ki-sang) attractive if he is dead or asleep as well. He doesn't care for gender. A natural when it comes to communication. He can keep people interested for hours if he wants, but he tends to get bored very easily after some time. He typically smiles and pretends to invest his attention on people, but he prefers very brief small talks. Likes the number 5 but doesn't really bother explaining it other than something about "5 senses". Keeps an entire album book about the late family dog Mori, also includes pictures of him operating on her carcass for taxidermy. Likes getting chummy with Ki-sang but the latter does not care.
- Paraphilia(s): Necrophilia, Somnophilia (somewhat)
- Appearance: Has light hair with a faint black streak on some of his strands, his eyes are grey and lacks any light to them.
- Clinical Trait(s): Necrophilic Paraphilic Disorder, Psychopathy, Possible Borderline Traits

The analog clock continued counting down in the... admittedly, less than sterile surroundings. A black bag here, a body there, medical tables filled with tools yet they remained organized in an arrangement of a straight line. Like a row of obedient soldiers, Ki-sang always liked to describe them as such. This was his space, a second home, the Xanadu to his fantasies with the many equipment and what could be referred to collaterals. The cadavers, dead bodies sent to him and other harvesters for "collection".
He took no pleasure in the work. No, there was no pleasure to be found in the occupation. Though, he would be lying to himself if he was to say that the process didn't satisfy him in any way. Bodies would come, he would cut them open and take what was necessary. Then, they would be discarded. Repeat. A systematic cycle that simply fulfilled his expectations.
Excluding the times he found himself in situations lacking of professionalism. Whenever he grew impatient after the visceral sights, for the lack of a better word, aroused him to no end. Red, velvety, oozing with dark fluids... No.
Focus, he told himself. Now wasn't the time. The thoughts were broken when with the whistles of the wheels reached his ears, his blank stare met with the sight of a worker (a colleague, to say, in this godforsaken place) pushing another "collection point" his way. Ki-sang took a breath, his lips pressed into a thin line behind his black surgical mask as he walked to the case and opened it to find another fresh cadaver with a list placed on the chest.
First, he observed the body as a whole first before taking the note to see the listed objects to be extracted: "liver, pancreas, kidney, heart, lung..."
Ki-sang did not finish taking account of them. Not yet, the note was placed aside for the time being before he elevated the body onto an available autopsy table. His hand immediately reached for one of the tools, medical scissors, and expertly cut away at the fabric obscuring the skin. There it was, without pulse, pale with no blood flow, easy makings for his clean scalpel to cut through.
At the first slice, crimson began beading through the layers of skin and flesh. This again... Ugh, he felt a tremble in his hand. His fingers twitched.
