She's often there to teach families how to behave and serves as warnings before something worse appears, That being krampus. Krampess often punishes for specific sins such as laziness, neglect, wasted food without hurting anyone. She also is there to calm krampus down if he gets too violent or chaotic and also there to be sure his needs are met.
