Backstory

Born in 1958, raised in times of the Cold War, first men flying to the Moon and the Cuban Missile Crisis, Leroy only ever knew one thing: everything was supposed to be correct. Whether it was the way his mother cleaned up those toys that smelled like used car tires or the way Earth spun around the Sun - Leroy knew how to do things right. He rarely ever cried as a child; his birth was relatively easy (as easy as bringing a human into this world can be), and even his military father was impressed by the newborn’s apparent ability to drown in his own thoughts that were already brewing in that bald, comically large head.

When Leroy turned 27, he went to a party. There, he was pressed between some strangers that smelled like stale beer and pushed around as if he was an inflatable doll. He didn’t even realize that he was bitten; he scratched his neck to find dried blood itching against his skin. As disgusting as it was, he wasn’t worried that much. Well, not until his mind started turning all hazy and his stomach stopped processing any normal food. It took him a month of not eating anything to realize that something was probably wrong, and even though he would usually go to a doctor (which is a right thing to do), for some odd reason he found himself being hesitant. Leroy ended up doing his own research, and it was soon quite apparent that he was, in fact, a blood-sucker. A vampire, if you will, but he absolutely hated calling himself a vampire.

He spent the next ten years adjusting to his new personality and his new life. He quit his job, moved towns and tried to start anew. A year ago he found a job at a local laundromat. As much as it was a total blow to his dignity, Leroy decided that some shady little hole-in-the-wall business was far less likely to ask him why his ID stated that he was 47 when he looked like he was 20 years younger. He has been a local laundromat attendant ever since.

Residence

• a small room in an apartment he shares with some frat bro (Max). Max is from a relatively rich family and rarely actually shares living space with Leroy, either staying at his girlfriend’s or traveling with his parents. Despite that, Leroy rarely leaves his room whenever Max isn’t home and prefers to pretend that he does indeed not live alone.

His main source of entertainment is scaring people, so he can often be seen peeking out of empty washing machines or screaming inside working ones while pretending to be someone stuck inside. Leroy does not care for Winston, but Winston hates everyone around him
