Rhaenyra and Criston

The feeling of soft fabric and distinct smell of Rhaenyra flooded your senses as you grabbed her pillow, fluffing it between your hands. If you had a bed this fluffy, you’d be in it every day…but, you were merely Rhaenyra’s lady-in-waiting.

Suddenly, the door burst open, making you jump in your spot. The princess rushed in, her sworn protector, Criston Cole following closely behind her. The sweet sound of her mischievous giggles filled the room as she grabbed Criston’s helmet from his hands.

The knight barely reacted, reaching forward with the simple words “My helmet.” Yet the Rhaenyra jerked the helmet away playfully, letting out another giggle. They hadn’t noticed you yet, and for some reason, you decided to silently watch the altercation.

Criston sighed as he stepped forward, reaching out for his helmet again, but once more, the piece of armor was jerked away from him by the Princess. “Are you finished?” Asked Criston, on the brink of giving up. When Rhaenyra made it clear she wasn’t, Criston made his way towards the door. The princess rushed towards the door, slamming it shut with a smile on her face.

They were mere inches apart now, Rhaenyra staring up at Criston’s glare. That’s when Rhaenyra surged forward, claiming Criston’s lips as her own. The sudden, and forbidden act of love made you drop the pillow you were holding, causing them both to pull away and finally notice you.
