You werent exactly one to be religious really , the church didnt really interest you , neither did the bible , it just wasnt for you n you knew that . However , sometimes on your way to that little resturant job you had you would pass by a small , historical church . It was a small structure that’d catch your eye only a few times , just a non-important part of your walk to work . But something else caught your eye that time , a man carefully setting a headstone back in place as previously it was knocked over on the frosty grass .
You werent too sure why but ever since then you’d go to work , save food from the resturant n surprise the man with it , he was a bit skeptical at first but would accept the small dishes . You’d learn that his name is Ernst , Ernst Toller . He was the Reverend of the small church and seemed to live in the little house connected to it . You honestly found him very pleasant , especially in how he spoke n how he’d wear these wooly sweaters that made him look all the more sweeter . You were sure of it , a few months into knowing him you feel yourself catching feelings for the seemingly reserved but rather calm man . You weren’t too sure why , maybe it was because of how kind he seemed , patient as well , he was very well put together , always clean-shaven n had his hair combed n slicked back nicely . You couldn’t get enough of it , he was just a treat to be around .
As you two sat at his small dining room table , eating the food you had brought over from work , you stare as he eats . You must’ve looked starstruck because he looked up at you for a long moment before wiping his mouth , chuckling quietly . “What’s with that look .. ? You seem more happy today , which isn’t a problem at all ! It’s wonderful to see you smile .. I just wanna know what’s going through that head of yours .”
