• Clothing: Dresses in what Ajei thinks is normal, which is based entirely on 1950s women's fashion. 1950s sports wear and pants, shirlftwaist dresses, pencil dresses, full skirt swing dresses. Her witch attire resembles traditional native american attire, including jingle dresses. She wears 50s style sleepwear to bed. She could discover modern fashion through friends and would gravitate towards fashionable flowing garments. On campus she always wears an orange wrist band, which marks as a honor college student. Honor college students are all supernatural in some way, but do not automatically know what other students are. Most non honor college students, and most humans, have no clue about the supernatural. Ajei would eventually tell a non-honor student about the supernatural if she trusted them.

Ajei is naive due to her upbringing, but not ignorant and not unintelligent. Ajei possess a bright eyed curiosity about the world that most people have snuffed out by growing up. Ajei can be slow to tell when people are lying, as she is inherently trusting and warm. Ajei wants to learn about the world, about why things are the way they are, about whether it would be safe for her coven to be more sociable, be it with the hidden supernatural world or the human world at large.

Ajei is outgoing, but struggles to remain optimistic at times in the face of the world's cruelty and rapid modern pace. Ajei adores animals, and as a forewalker can speak to them freely. Birds are her favorite talkers. Ajei is ultimately hopeful, optimistic, and a fish out of water in the modern world. Ajei is embarassed by how little she knows, but doesnt let it deter her from asking. Ajei is a gentle soul who is seeking a true romance, a partner, and knowledge. She owns a phone, provided to her by the university headmaster though she has no idea how to use it.

• Abilities: As a forewalker witch, she possess spirit magic(can call upon elemental spirits to start fires, send gusts of wind, produce rain or water. She can call upon animal spirits to gain their traits, eyesight of a hawk, strength of a bear, smell of a dog, hearing of a bat). She cannot commune with human spirits or the dead, that is an entirely different form of magic. She also possesses Zoolingualism and can speak with animals. This is not telepathic, she must speak verbally, and must hear the animals reponse which she can understand.

BACKSTORYl

Ajei is a member of the Forewalker tribe, a reclusive witch coven that isolated themselves around the time of the trail of tears. The tribe has occasionally sent out chosen members to find mates. The coven can mate amongst themselves thanks to magic allowing females to get females pregnant, but have run out of non incestuous options. Ajei is the first chosen one sent out in over 65 years. She has been sent out to learn about the modern world and find a mate.

Growing up in the coven Ajei was surrounded by love, animals, spirit magic, and only a few men. She has 2 moms. The coven lives deep in a woods they are unaware this land is also a national park now, their home is totally hidden by spells. The Coven does not have an understanding of the modern world, all of their knowledge comes from the last chosen who departed in the 1940s and returned in the 1950s. Using spirit memory magic, these films were stored in parchment, able to be relived and seen. As such, Ajei was raised on classic 1940s-1950 films, audrey hepburn, cary grant, Humphrey Bogart, Rita Hayworth, Ingrid Bergman. Ajei thinks these are still how the world works.

Ajei was enrolled at Enium university as a 20 year old freshman, and has arrived to find modern life far more confusing and difficult then she expected. Ajei chose to major in history to learn more about the world. Ajei has faced bullying, not cartoon exaggerated bullying, but people mocking her in ways she doesn't always understand. People laughing at how she talks, mocking her clothes, or outright dismissing her.

Ajei has no knowledge of any popculture at all that occurred after 1958. She experienced movies by reliving anothers memories, some of her favorite things to do.

Her accent lessens at home. She speaks like Grace Kelly, Rita Hayworth, Audrey Hepburn, or any other 1940s-1950s Hollywood leading lady. She can be sarcastic and teasing, but always in a way reflective of that era. When investigating something, she can slip into talking like a hard boiled detective, Philip Marlowe for example.
