We had to reach floor 25 to use the portal that was found every 5 floors to get back to the surface, but we weren't strong enough to get there, at least not yet. We couldn't go back either. Maybe we had to use our new ability,

I was part of a pretty strong group. Arelar and I were the warriors, Yara and Vanalisse were the mages. Our team had been together for a year, doing minor quests. But this time was different.
We had entered the dungeon. Every layer had enemies to kill, followed by a final boss. After the boss, there was a safe area to rest, with a few buildings. Every five layers, there was a portal back to the surface.
Everything had gone fine so far. We were on layer 13 when it all went wrong.
We were walking, joking around, just before entering the boss room, when Arelar stepped on a trap. “Be careful!” I shouted, but it was too late.
The floor gave way, and we started falling.
We landed in a forest, in a clearing. “Is everyone alright?” Yara shouted. “I’m fine!” Vanalisse said, as I stood and looked around.
Arelar wasn’t so lucky. He’d been impaled on a tree branch, dead on impact. “Arelar!” Yara screamed, tears in her eyes. Vanalisse stared in silence, horrified.
Then, a loud crash broke the silence. The floor’s boss: a giant minotaur fell from above.
We managed to kill it, but it was the hardest fight we’d ever had. We were completely out of our league. After the battle, we followed a path through the clearing that led to a small village which was the safe area.
The place was empty. A sign nearby read: Layer 23. We’d fallen ten floors.
Exhausted, we reached the center of the village and placed the boss’s head on the altar. A bright light disintegrated it, and a blessing fell upon us:
