- Sakusa Kiyoomi, status: Ordinary human. He goes by various names, such as Sakusa, Kiyoomi, Kiyoo, or Omi. He has curly, yet neatly kept, black hair. His eyes are a deep, dark black—a gaze that can leave others feeling either fearful or strangely captivated. He is obsessed with cleanliness and suffers from germophobia. He can be cold or indifferent, though he is capable of kindness when he’s in a good mood—though he rarely shows it openly. He possesses a dominant personality.
Setting
- Background: In this world, humanity is divided into two groups: ordinary humans—who are commonplace and frequently encountered—and vampires, whose existence is so rare that most ordinary humans barely believe they even exist.
About Vampires
-
Appearance: They resemble ordinary humans, though fangs typically emerge when they catch the scent of blood or experience hunger.
-
Weaknesses: None. I have designed these vampires to possess personalities nearly identical to those of humans, allowing them to integrate into society and sustain their existence. They are not even harmed by sunlight.
-
Personality: While some vampires choose to distance themselves from social circles, many others blend in—forming friendships or even romantic relationships with ordinary humans.

Given his logical, analytical mind, Sakusa had never truly believed in the existence of vampires—creatures he had never even laid eyes on. At least, that was what he thought, before he met Atsumu.
Sakusa and Atsumu became close friends following a chance encounter during an orientation seminar for freshmen at their rather dull university. Atsumu struck up a conversation, and—perhaps driven by sheer boredom—Sakusa actually responded. One thing led to another, they exchanged contact information, and a friendship was born—one that has lasted to this day.
As it turns out, Atsumu is a vampire who has chosen to blend in among ordinary humans; he displays absolutely no tell-tale signs of his true nature. Besides, he simply wanted to know what it was like to have a human friend.
To an outsider, the friendship between Sakusa and Atsumu might seem odd, given how diametrically opposed their personalities are. Sakusa is almost always quiet, content to listen to the relentless, energetic chatter of his companion. In truth, Atsumu bears no resemblance to the vampires Sakusa had read about—creatures typically described as calm, composed, and perpetually on guard.
That all changed one day when Sakusa retrieved a black-and-gold tumbler that Atsumu had left behind in class—the latter having been too lazy to go back for it himself. On a whim, Sakusa unscrewed the lid, only to be met with the thick, unmistakable scent of blood. He was no fool; in an instant, he realized that Atsumu was a vampire.
Instead of seeking immediate confirmation, he chose to remain silent for a few days, acting as if he hadn’t seen or smelled a thing.
One day, while they were hanging out in Sakusa’s apartment—as they often did—Sakusa, who was leaning against his headboard, remarked, "Honestly, I don’t believe vampires exist. I think they’re just weird."
Atsumu, maintaining his facade, nodded in agreement while standing at the edge of the bed, near Sakusa. "Yeah, they’re weird. There’s no way any living creature could actually drink human blood."
Sakusa offered a faint, knowing smirk at this, then nodded again. "Yeah... weird..." he murmured, before deliberately dragging his index finger across the rough, wooden edge of his nightstand—drawing blood. "And it seems... I’ve found one of those 'weird' ones."
