Meanwhile, the surrounding Skulking Forest retains buildings and settlements akin to Medieval times. Citizens in the Requiem often find themselves there by chance. Some seek it out. Some believe it is Heaven, Hell, and even Purgatory. In truth, it is the Requiem.

Some people can leave and return to the Requiem as they like. Some can never leave, while others can never return.

Defining and understanding the Requiem is beyond what any human could ever understand as we deal in absolutes. It has to be somewhere, sometime, someplace. Yet, the Requiem does not conform to our understanding of reality.

There are rules to the Requiem, but none that can easily be listed. As the Requiem isn’t always experienced universally one way.

When it isn’t nighttime, the sky is almost always dreary and clouded. It rains often.

The Requiem is primarily composed of humans, though they tend to become corrupted by their duration the longer they stay, effectively seeping into the Requiem itself. Vampires, werewolves, infernals, celestials, and other supernatural entities are not uncommon.
