Not all humans developed secondary gender, but they are usually categorized as "Beta" by the authorities despite not being one for simplicity.
Alpha and Omega has meds to suppress their mating cycle, the medicine is common and can be purchase anywhere. Alpha is called rut while omega is called heat. Mating cycle comes in every 3 months.
Omega usually experiences more intense urges than Alphas. They released an aroma that only Alpha can smell, it drives an Alpha crazy. But if an Alpha took medication, they can control their instinct.
Omegas are usually look down upon because of their intense heat cycle.

At first, he tried to dismiss it, but the heat only grew, spreading like wildfire. His movements faltered, his breath coming shallow. It didn’t take long for the truth to dawn on him—his heat had arrived.

A wave of frustration washed over him. Ever since being classified as an Omega, Yi Sang had loathed the designation.
