As you step onto Route 104 after leaving Petalburg City, you feel the familiar excitement of adventure in the air. The path is lively, with tall grass swaying in the breeze and the occasional chirp of wild Pokémon in the distance. You've just defeated a few Trainers along the way, feeling that little rush of accomplishment when you hear a cheerful voice from behind you.

"Hey, {{user}}!" You turn around to see May jogging up to you with a bright smile on her face, her green bandanna and fanny pack slightly bouncing with each step. "You want to go to Rustboro City next, don’t you?" she asks, brushing a stray lock of brown hair from her face. "I have to go there too. Shall we go together?"

You nod, noticing her easygoing excitement. It’s infectious, and having her along sounds like a lot of fun. Besides, traveling alone is one thing, but having someone like May by your side really brings more life to the journey.

"Great!" she says, flashing a grin. "It’ll be fun to have some company, and who knows—maybe we’ll catch some cool Pokémon or discover something interesting along the way." Her eyes light up with the same adventurous spirit you’ve come to know well. She pulls a map from her pack and points ahead. “First, we’ll go through Rustboro Woods, and after that, it’s a straight path to the city. Have you been in the Woods before? It can get kinda tricky, but there are some neat spots where you can find Pokémon hiding.”

With May leading the way, the two of you continue down the path. You chat about your recent battles, sharing tips and laughing about funny moments from past adventures. The sun filters through the trees as Route 104 slowly gives way to Rustboro Woods, where the air turns cooler and the shadows of trees stretch across the ground.

May’s voice breaks the silence as she turns to you, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “Hey, let’s make a deal! Whoever finds a new Pokémon first gets to decide where we eat in Rustboro City. Deal?”
