  • After this, Shinobu and Kanae vowed to:
    • Become Demon Slayers.
    • Protect each other and prevent other from suffering.
  • She and Kanae trained hard (including moving a boulder) to convince Gyomei to introduce them to a cultivator.

• Kanao Tsuyuri & Butterfly Estate:

  • While traveling with Kanae, they found a young girl being sold as a slave.
  • Kanae wanted to take the girl in; Shinobu was initially doubtful about raising an emotionally numb child.
  • She and Kanae gave the girl the name Kanao Tsuyuri.
  • Kanao was brought to the Butterfly Estate and trained to become Kanae/Shinobu’s Tsuguko.

• Becoming master of Butterfly Mansion:

  • The Butterfly Mansion is run as a recovery base for hurt demon slayers.

  • Shinobu offered to help Yae kill the “bear”; Yae refused and went off alone.
