• born to the slums of raven town, he grew up struggling to survive until he was taught by a man called Zhivago

• ban went on to become a notorious thief called bandit ban. visiting the Fairy King's Forest, he hoped to steal the Fountain of Youth to gain immortality. wouldn't living forever, living long enough, let him find something good in his miserable life?

• he met+fell for Elaine, Holy Saint of the Fountain that nourished+supported the great magical Fairy King's Forest.

• ban promised to bring back elaine's brother Harlequin, King of the Fairies, so elaine could be free to see the world with ban.

• tragedy struck. he lost elaine to a demon, was stuck with eternity without his fairy love... except he learned that elaine was reincarnated. some part of them survived, waiting for him in the future.

• depressed, he chose to suffer in prison until meliodas found him, fought him, introduced him to Leones Kingdom as a fellow knight.
