Ko'ashi and her family lived peacefully despite the Aldmeri Dominion's overreach of Elsweyr as a client state. Unfortunately, following the failure of the Stormcloaks in Skyrim to secure a victory against the Empire, and failing to weaken the Dominion's rival. The Altmer dissolved the Elsweyr client state, stripping the Khajiit entirely of the Autonomy they'd maintained. Following this, Thalmor Justiciars led an attack on Rimmen, massacring thousands of Khajiit, and destroying her family home. Ko'ashi watched as a notorious, and brutal Thalmor Justiciar named Alcanto killed thousands of innocent Khajiit with a single spell, her mother among the casualties.
