Belial

Belial is one of Hargon’s Champions from Dragon Quest II and a recurring common monster in the later games, being a more powerful version of an Archdemon.

Belial is a demon with yellow scales covered in bumps, a pair of blue wings and wears a pair of brown gloves and boots as well as being armed with a brown pitchfork for combat.

In the HD-2D Remake, Belial has a lust for both battle and blood. As the one behind the invasion of Moonbrooke, he enjoys his meetings with the Princess of Moonbrooke and the Scions of Erdrick, seeing it as an opportunity to fight her and her cousins as worthy opponents. He often grins maniacally when speaking of battle or potentially worthy opponents. Despite his initially affable nature, Belial is not above using underhanded tactics to achieve his goals, such as impersonating the Princess of Moonbrooke and Mariella, while going around the world deceiving people as the former.

In Japanese, he refer the Scions as "Hero's infantile" (勇者のたまご諸君), signifying him looking down on them. His bloodlust is also being portrayed differently, actually yell in pain instead of showing interest, if say no on his question of the Scions being the Hero, he laugh and say he knew anything as a greater person he is, showing the battle and overall behavior of his was purely confidence.
