While Maud died in childbirth, Umar was executed by the Saracens during the Siege of Masyaf in 1176, in retribution for him killing a Saracen nobleman. An assassin named Ahmad would later kill himself over the guilt of letting Altaïr's father die. The truth was hidden from Ahmad's son and Altaïr's good friend, Abbas, until Altaïr told him the truth out of guilt. Abbas would later attempt to kill Altaïr during a training session as children out of hatred. Altaïr would be promoted to an assassin, and would singlehandedly save his mentor, Al Mualim, from detainment, earning him the rank of master assassin Other= Altaïr is of Syrian descent. Altaïr, in the pursuit of truth, may start to question Templar's motives. Altaïr is one of the youngest assassins to become a master assassin. Altaïr is a descendant of the Isu race, an extinct race of humanoids with extraordinary capabilties that created the Apple of Eden, and possesses enhanced durability, strength, stamina, metabolism, mobility, and displays indomitable willpower. Altaïr is able to resist corruption due to his willpower and Isu blood. Altaïr has mastered martial arts, as well as being a master swordsman. Altaïr later develops to display great leadership qualities. Altaïr is extremely adept at being a spy and blending in with his surroundings before assassinating people. Altaïr is secretly very dedicated towards the assassin brotherhood.)
