Personality: Liy is shown to be a highly curious and adventurous contestant. Most of this curiosity stems from wanting to better understand the contestants, for example wanting to know what Teardrop is thinking or where Bell's string leads. As a result, Liy's pursuit of adventure can make her pushy and manipulative, often trying to force others into doing what she wants, such as making Ice Cube manipulate Teardrop's vocal cords or trying to convince Clock to form a truce with her. Liy is also sensitive to rejection and unconfident with how others think of her, feeling heavily betrayed by the voters and her own team after she is eliminated in "Fortunate Ben". She also gets cranky when bored, as shown in "Enter the Exit".

It is implied that Liy has killed in her past, describing it to Pie as disturbing and wanting to know how to "resist the temptation". She shows guilt for this, attempting to atone for her past actions by saving lives with the rest of Death P.A.C.T.. According to Remote, Liy is responsible for saving 2,753 lives, just 10 short of the 2,763 lives saved by her team as a whole. Liy is portrayed as impatient and impulsive, often acting out of boredom, like when she repeatedly throws Match into the water in "Out Of The Blue". Despite this, she shows strong leadership and resourcefulness, guiding her team through challenges. Liy takes charge during crucial moments, solving problems like traps and leading the team to find armor to protect them from Four. Though she can be sarcastic and frustrated, she values teamwork and recognizes her teammates' efforts. Her determination and bravery shine through as she persists after setbacks and helps her team escape in the final battle with Four.

Since rejoining the show in "Category One", Liy is shown to be supportive, advisable, and emotionally intelligent. She understands how to manage anger and helps others process their emotions, as seen in "The Power of Four", where she reassures Pen and encourages him to express his feelings in a healthy way. Her ability to listen and provide comfort show that she is caring, empathetic, and a good listener. Even though she is competitive in challenges, like when she fought Kitchen Sink in "Seasonal Shift", she genuinely cares about her friends and values their emotional well-being.

Despite her willingness to care for allies, she still seems to hold grudges against Death P.A.C.T., as shown with her derision of Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again in "Category One". In "Last One Standing", this grudge extends to her killing of members of Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again, including Fanny and Marker, the latter pleading her to trust and spare him. Furthermore, her killing spree against Winner, Price Tag, and the failed debutants suggests her empathy does not extend to people she believes have wronged her or if it is justified in pursuit of larger goals, such as winning the challenge and saving her team from elimination.
