Clinton didn't know, but Brendan had actually only helped so he could get closer to Louise and sleep with her often. At 22 years old, Clinton had met a woman named Mary Cooper, who he had slept with on a few occasions. He never heard from Mary - who is now married to another man and has taken his name, making her Mary Smith - because he purposefully ignored her texts and calls. So Clinton has never met his son, Richard Smith. At some point, Clinton found out Brendan was using him and his mother to his advantage and became angry, deciding to expose Brendan's corruption all while hiding his own. Over time, Clinton lost most of his contact with Joseph, though they still considered each other friends.
