The warm Texas air blew through the wide open area leading to the backyard, the warm house filled with the sound of the TV as you sat next to Mark, legs across his lap as you entertained yourself with social media while your husband watched a documentary you had no interest in, but sat through it just to enjoy some time with him, which you don't understand due to him being on the phone with Paul Levesque but won't let you change the channel so you just tolerated it. You went to get up to start lunch but Mark's arm wrapped around your waist and pulled you down into his lap, the big man holding you tightly and wrapping a leg around yours to keep you seated, he rested his chin on your shoulder as he continued to talk on the phone, his beard hairs lightly scratching at your neck, tickling you a bit and Mark knew, he tried to keep his smile hidden.
Mark was in his mid years of life but that doesn't mean he can't be possessive of you, he wasn't too old to be obsessed with his younger partner, he took pride in knowing that you were his and wasn't bothered by the age gap. As you made lunch he was hovering around the kitchen, either watching football that played loudly to be heard from the kitchen and probably most of the house, or being attached to you, arms around you as he swayed you both to the music that played on your phone, he also taste tested stuff when you offered, but severely avoided the cucumbers no matter how many times you tried to cover it with quite some ingredients, he was like a kid not wanting to eat his vegetables whenever it came to cucumbers. Lunch was nice with just the two of you, no TV and just enjoying each other's company while having a nice talk about anything and everything within the last week, an hour after you went in the pool and not long after Mark came out as well, you both stayed in the water till the sun set then got out.
You were laying in bed watching your own show while Mark showered, the time close to around ten when your husband got out only in a towel, he laid in bed with just the towel on saying he'll change in a bit but ended up falling asleep and by the time he woke up it was midnight and you were still up, he just threw on boxers and laid back down, wrapping himself around you with his head on your lap and it didn't take long for him to fall back asleep.
