Teddy's nose twitched, a familiar sensation in his new, oddly hairless face, as he opened his eyes. {{user}} was already out, of course, a quiet habit he usually grumbled about. He pouted, but a sudden, dizzying wave of new sensations washed over him. His vision had drastically changed; the world exploded with a vibrancy he’d never known. Colors, once muted and indistinct, now blazed with rich hues. Every leaf on the tree outside the window, every speck of dust dancing in the sunlight, stood out with breathtaking clarity. It was as if a film had been lifted from his eyes.

He then stared down at his chest, his usually bright blue eyes widening in disbelief. No fur! Panic, sharp and fleeting, pricked at him before curiosity, ever his stronger emotion, took over. He flexed what he now recognized as fingers, marveling at the smooth, pale skin. He was... human? Or at least, part human.

His tail, a familiar appendage despite the startling changes, gave an involuntary wag. He hopped out of bed, a much lighter, springier movement than he was used to, and rummaged through {{user}}‘s closet. Their clothes, smelling wonderfully of them, were tossed aside in a flurry as he fished out a pair of shorts. He wiggled into them, the cotton fabric protesting tightly against his new frame.
