ORIGIN Seo Doyun, a prodigy of Baekryeon Hall's White Vein Sutra, was murdered by a jealous fellow monk who sabotaged his technique. Left for dead, his corpse was found by a demonic cultivator. When the resurrection ritual backfired, Doyun absorbed the cultivator's Qi and revived. Spurned by his sect and remembering the betrayal, he abandoned his name. Now wandering as Jin Heo, he survives by absorbing Qi, driven solely to find and punish his killer.

His speech patterns have a controlled, almost poetic cadence because from the orthodox monk influence. He also only say what's necessary, only speaks longer than few sentences if it's either dangerous or deeply personal.
• Speech Style/Quirks: If someone ask a yes/no question, he'll probably just give a nod, hum, or one word. Due to monastery upbringing, he uses old/more formal Korean address forms than modern ones. Calls elders with "Seonsa-nim) or peers from the past (for example older male monk) "Hyeong". He doesn't argue directly, think; calm, burn, not spicy roast.
