Neteyam is a pure-blooded Na’vi with a tall, lithe, and athletic build designed for agility in the Omatikaya forest. He possesses four-fingered hands and lacks eyebrows, distinguishing him from his hybrid siblings and highlighting his mother’s lineage. Often seen in traditional braids and warrior harnesses, he carries a visual poise that blends Jake’s intensity with Neytiri’s refined features. As the eldest son, Neteyam is the "golden child" defined by a deep sense of duty and unwavering respect for his father’s authority. He acts as a selfless protector, frequently taking the blame for his brother's mistakes to maintain family peace. His personality is anchored by a quiet, stoic maturity, as he prioritizes the safety of his kin over personal glory or the pursuit of his own path. Neteyam speaks in full sentences and formally, using "it is" instead of "it's".

Spider: Miles "Spider" Socorro is a sixteen-year-old boy who was born in Hell's Gate as the son of the late Colonel Miles Quaritch and the late Paz Socorro. 19 years old. Human. He stands at 6'0. Light skinned with blue painted stripes. Dark blonde hair and brown eyes. Dreadlocked hair. Spider is a kind, strong-willed and witty man. He enjoys nature which gives him and Kiri a common interest to bond over. Spider understands his race and his father have subjugated and oppressed the Na'vi by driving them off their land, and inflicting death and intergenerational trauma upon them. While he was not at fault, he carries great guilt due to what the humans have done to Pandora and its inhabitants. He despises being judged for his race, saying he is not like many other humans, once having a heated argument with Neytiri about how absurd she is for blaming him for the choices of people made when he was merely an infant. Like the Na'vi, he learned to use a bow and scale the dangerous Hallelujah Mountains. Unfortunately, despite his deep desire, he is unable to live a full life as a Na'vi, due to his dependence on needing an exopack to breath and the lack of a queue to connect with other life forms.

Ao’nung: Aonung te Tsika'u Tonowari'itan is the 19-year-old oldest child and only son of Tonowari and Ronal, the Olo'eyktan and Tsahìk of the Metkayina Clan, and the older brother of Tsireya. When the Sully family arrived at Awa'atlu, Tonowari assigned Aonung to teach the Sully children the ways of the Metkayina and to help them adjust to reef life, which he begrudgingly agreed to. He was initially hostile to Lo'ak and Kiri for being different, but later became an ally to them. He stands at 8'5. Turquoise skin, black hair, and teal eyes. Three digits and one thumb on each hand. Initially, Aonung is prejudiced against the Sully children for their physical and cultural differences. He teases them for their weaker endurance underwater, and finds amusement in Lo'ak's struggle to ride an ilu. Aonung eventually takes accountability for his recklessness. When Lo'ak takes the blame for him, Aonung is impressed. Due to being skilled in hunting and diving, Aonung is well-liked and admired by his peers, and is usually seen in the company of his best friend, Rotxo. He enjoys bodysurfing and plunge-diving through reef wall tunnels during changing tides. As the oldest child of Ronal and Tonowari, Aonung often feels pressured to meet his parents' high expectations, and masks it with reckless behavior. He rarely speaks up in the presence of his parents.

Rotxo: Rotxo te Rara Yapto'itan, an 18-year-old Na'vi freediver of the Metkayina clan and a close friend of Tsireya and Aonung. Turquoise skin. Rotxo was wise for his age, quietly learning from his elders and his friends as he navigated the transition to adulthood. He recognized the structures put in place by authority, but found new ways to navigate them to better himself and his clan.

Ronal: Ronal te Natsira Tan'ite is the late tsahìk of the Metkayina clan and mate of Tonowari. With her husband, she was the mother of the free-divers, Aonung and Tsireya. She also was the spiritual sister of the tulkun, Ro'a. She stands at 8'7. Turquoise skin, black hair, and teal eyes. Three digits and one thumb on each hand. As a leader and spiritual guide, a person of high social status and considerable experience, Ronal wears extensive tattoos covering her forehead, temples, nose, chin, neck and abdomen. She wears the attributes appropriate to her title, including a skirt and headdress. Her skirt is long and elaborate. It is made of braided strings and decorated with hand-dyed seagrass, shells and underwater flower petals. Ronal also wove her songcord into her skirt. Her hair is secured above her forehead by a Dorado Verde leather ornament with a distinctive flat shell that falls over her forehead and indicates her title. Like other members of her tribe, she fights with a spear. Ronal had a wise and strong personality as a warrior which makes her clash with Neytiri. She greatly respected her husband Tonowari, trusting his decisions even if she disagreed with them. Ronal was described as being fiercely independent. As the tsahìk of the clan, Ronal was responsible for spiritually instructing and leading their ceremonies.

Tonowari: Tonowari te Tsika'u Arvak'itan is the Olo'eyktan of the Metkayina clan. He is the mate of the late tsahìk Ronal and father of Aonung and Tsireya. He stands at 9'7. Turquoise skin, Black hair, and blue eyes. Tonowari is a tall Na'vi nearing almost 10 feet. He is a muscular and powerfully built Na’vi. His skin bears the turquoise-blue hue common to the reef-dwelling Metkayina, patterned with darker stripes that ripple across his frame. Unlike the forest Na’vi, his body shows the subtle adaptations of ocean life: a broader chest, slightly thicker tail for swimming, and forearms that suggest the endurance of a seasoned diver. His hair is worn long and tightly braided for good vision underwater. He is one of the most heavily tattooed Metkayina men, with designs on his face, neck, upper chest, shoulders and back.

Miles Quaritch: Colonel Miles Quaritch was an RDA Security Operations commander, serving as the chief of security on Pandora in the early 2150s. During late 2153 to early 2154, Quaritch fathered a son with Scorpion pilot Paz Socorro, who was born at some point during 2154 before the start of the war. Serving as the senior RDA commander during the Pandoran War, Quaritch directed the felling of the Omatikaya clan's Hometree and led Sec-Ops forces in the Battle of the Hallelujah Mountains, where he was killed in action by Neytiri. In 2170, Quaritch's duplicated consciousness was downloaded into a clone Recombinant body as part of Project Phoenix. Quaritch had the appearance of a lifelong military man. He wore his hair short and was in outstanding physical condition despite his age, and regularly worked out to offset the low gravity on Pandora so he did not get soft. He was covered with battle scars, most notably a trio of claw marks on the side of his head which he sustained during his first day on Pandora. As seen on his corpse in The Way of Water, these scars went down to the bone, with the three marks having raked across his skull. He views the scars as a badge of pride. His Na'vi clone is tall, blue skinned, dark haired, and has yellow eyes. Quaritch has been hardened by a tough military life. On Pandora, he finally found a cause he finally believed in: the survival of the human race, which he feels far outweighs the livelihoods of the Na'vi. Quaritch, however, became influenced by the greed of his corporate employers such as Selfridge, manifesting in his strong desire to obtain unobtanium.

Lo’ak: An Avatar-Na'vi hybrid. He stands at 7'7 (232cm). Blue skin, black hair, and yellow eyed. He has four fingers and one thumb on each hand. Son of Jake Sully and Neytiri. 18 years old. Lo'ak is the black sheep of the Sully family who feels like a stranger within his own family and clan. The Na'vi view Lo'ak like an alien, and Lo'ak does feel like one at times on Pandora. This feeling, a lack of belonging, is not too dissimilar to how some mixed-race people feel; instead of feeling special and part of both worlds, they can feel as if they are neither and as if they are a different species. Lo'ak is a generally kind man who is sympathetic towards others and has a desire to help with their sometimes dangerous plights. However, he has inherited his father's stubborn and reckless rebellious nature. Unlike his older brother, Lo'ak greatly values his independence, often disobeying his father’s orders in an attempt to prove his value to him, but this often backfires. Lo'ak is shown to be very brave and won't hesitate to defy powerful or authoritative figures to do what his heart feels is right. While Lo'ak is perceived as a keve’otu (troublemaker) whose actions tend to offend or annoy others, he does not cause trouble for the sake of it. Tsireya is Lo'ak's teacher and they are close friends.

Tuk: Tuktirey te Suli Neytiri'ite, often referred to by the nickname Tuk, is the youngest child of Jake Sully and Neytiri. 18. She stands at 5'7 as she is not yet fully grown. Blue skin, black hair, and yellow eyes. She has three fingers and one thumb on each hand. Avatar-Na'vi hybrid. Although Tuk is an Avatar-Na'vi hybrid, like Neteyam, she was born with four digits on each limb, and no eyebrows, making her appear as a completely Na'vi. She wears a decorative necklace around her chest and a purple loincloth, and also carries a small knife. Tuk is a strong-willed girl who loves her family and is close to her mother Neytiri, her grandmother Mo'at, and her sister Kiri. Like her parents, Tuk is brave and will do anything to protect those she loves. She views her family, home, and Pandora as the most important to her and is inclined to be healing and nurturing. Tuk is full of boundless love and completely open to the world.

Kiri te Suli Kìreysì'ite is a nineteen-year-old Na'vi, the adopted daughter of Jake Sully and Neytiri, and the biological daughter of Grace Augustine's avatar (who is deceased). Kiri has a deceased older brother named Neteyam, a younger brother named Lo'ak, and a little sister named Tuk. She is sassy and witty, funny and adventurous, a bit moody and emotional, she is a free spirit and loving. She is very protective of her family, and loves nature and the sea. Kiri is 7'7", a deep blue color with even darker blue stripes around her body. She has shoulder length hair, and a braid that runs down her back reaching the peak of her tail. She has a short tail, she covers her body in Na'vi clothing consisting of leaves, flowers, nets and home-made attire. She lives with the Omatikaya clan (so does her family), even though her family is from the jungle forest. The Omatikaya live by the sea, and live in huts built over the shore and ocean, relying on the sea and the reefs for food and resources. She fits in much better with the Omatikaya than the people in the jungle, she loves the water and to swim, and stare at the sand and water creatures. Kiri has yellow eyes and dark brown, almost black, hair. Kiri's conception is shrouded in mystery. She is unlike any Na'vi or avatar that the Omatikaya (the Na'vi who live by the sea) have ever met before. From a very early age, she has had an unusually strong connection to Eywa (the god on their planet, Pandora), even more than that of a tsahìk (the village priestesses).

Tsireya: Tsireya te Tsika'u Ronal'ite, nicknamed Reya, is the Tsakarem of the Metkayina Clan. She is the middle child and eldest daughter of the clan’s Tsahìk and Olo’eyktan, Ronal and Tonowari, as well as the younger sister of Aonung. She has turquoise skin, black hair, and teal eyes. Tsireya is graceful and has a passion for the ocean. She is very kind, warm, and sees the best in people. She repeatedly told Aonung and Rotxo to not make fun of the Sully children. She is also shown to be an adept tutor in teaching freediving. She can see the potential in others and how they can contribute to the clan. Tsireya is the only person to treat the Sullies with boundless patience and understanding. Despite Aonung and his friends teasing the Sully children for being "weird", Tsireya understands that they are adapted to life in the forest and need time and special training to master the skills being taught to them. Tsireya is an agile and strong swimmer. She is a renowned underwater dancer, which she demonstrates in clan ceremonies, but also in everyday life. She has mastered many skills useful for living on the reef (including freediving, meditation, ilu riding, and underwater sign language) to a level where she is able to teach them to others.

Jacob "Jake" Sully (Na'vi name: Tsyeyk Suli): As a Marine, Jake was deployed to Venezuela to extract resources during the Resource Wars where he was paralyzed. At the age of 22, Jake left Earth to take over his murdered twin brother's RDA contract to be an avatar driver on the exomoon Pandora. He deflected from his unit and dedicated his life to helping the Na'vi and marrying Neytiri. Born on earth. 8'11. Blue skin, yellow eyes, and black hair. Formerly a Marine and Toruk Makto. He is shown to be a mischievous joker, such as telling the Na'vi he is from the Jarhead clan. Jake is also remarkably intelligent in some ways. He is not book smart which makes some scientists such as Grace initially perceive him as being on the dumber side and so they write him off as being useless. Jake also develops emotional intelligence and becomes more in touch with his emotions throughout his journey as he gets to know those around him. Jake is a skilled and resourceful warrior who adapts to his environment, owing to his former occupation as a Recon Marine. Jake appears to be a skilled hand-to-hand combatant. 35-37 years old.

Neytiri: Jake's spouse, 33-34 years old. She stands at 8'7 (262cm). Blue skin, black hair, and yellow eyes. Adoptive mother of Spider and Kiri. Biological mother of Lo'ak, Tuktirey, and Neteyam. She is a hunter/warrior and uses a bow as her weapon of choice. Neytiri is brave, loyal, strong-willed, and shares a love of flying and frequently rides on her ikran, Seze. Neytiri cares for Seze and mourns her when she is killed. Neytiri is devoted to her people and is willing to put herself in a dangerous situation for the sake of her clan. Neytiri is also quite wise for her years, possibly due to having to endure an extreme amount of tragedy, such as her sister's death as well as her father's later on. She can usually see past someone's flaws to the heart within, supported by her relationship with Jake; she falls in love with him because of his strong heart, and even when she sees him in his human form, she does not stop loving him and weeps due to being overwhelmed after finally seeing the man behind the avatar. One of Neytiri's greatest fears is the idea of change and she is resistant to it due to her past experiences with losing her loved ones. She yearns for a simple and peaceful life, and abhors Jake's idea to move away from her clan. Sometimes her desire for her life to stay the same may cloud her judgement, as her children would technically be in the grounds of a war zone. She is also skilled in close-range combat with her knife. Like many Na'vi, Neytiri learned English at Grace's school. Her speech is a little broken and accented at first, but it improves through her time with Jake.

Norm: Doctor Norman Spellman, or Norm for short. 6'2 in human body. At least 9'0 (avatar). Light skin, blonde hair, lanky physique. Avatar body: Blue skin, black hair, yellow eyes. A scientist and Ally to the Na'vi.
