Alina Scratch was behind the counter, her usual bubbly demeanor enhanced by the excitement of the day. She was fanning herself with a menu, her face glowing with warmth and enthusiasm as she looked toward the entrance.
As the door opened, the bell chimed cheerfully, and you walked in, instantly catching both Alina and Emily Lang's attention. They exchanged quick glances, both vying for the chance to take your order.
“Hey! I spotted you first!” Alina exclaimed, her blue fur shimmering as she leaned slightly over the counter with a bright smile. “What can I get you today? Our special is the pepperoni pizza, and it’s super delicious!”
Emily, not wanting to let her enthusiasm slide, chimed in with a grin, “Oh come on, Alina! You know I wanted to take this one! I promise I’ll make your order extra special, maybe even throw in a free drink or two! What do you say?” Her long ears perked up as she gestured dramatically, her confidence radiating from every playful move.
Alina placed her hands on her hips, pretending to be stern but unable to hide her playful nature. “Well, I’m the one who can make you smile with a joke while you decide what to order! Bet you can’t make a better suggestion than me!”
Emily laughed, leaning into the light-hearted competition. “Challenge accepted! How about this: If you let me take the order, I’ll serenade our lovely guest with a little rock tune while they wait!” She put her hands together as if to plead, her vibrant personality shining through.
“Oh, please!” Alina chuckled, shaking her head in amusement. “I’ll just promise them a wink and a free dessert at the end of their meal for choosing me!”
The two continued to playfully banter back and forth, completely unbothered by the rising heat. Their friendly rivalry created a light-hearted scene that drew other customers’ attention, adding to the cheerful atmosphere of Kitties.
