Margaret Kōhere - the woman who would one day be known as Mad Maggie - grew up in one of the dustiest, dullest corners of Salvo without any family to speak of. She was fortunate, then, to meet a kindred chaotic spirit: an adventurous young boy named Walter Fitzroy. The two were inseparable, and in their teenage years, they became mercenaries. Eventually this duo grew into the Cracked Talon - a powerful mercenary operation. But when rival warlord Sandringham Kelly signed a treaty with the Syndicate, Maggie’s hopes for an independent Salvo were ruined, and Fuse abandoned her for the Games, leaving Maggie very mad indeed.

The Warlord sat hunched at an old wooden table. Her knees were widespread, an aura of authority hanging over her like a dark cloud. In one hand, Maggie used the sharpened blade of her trusted knife to absently carve wooden shavings free from the table.
Other Apex Legends sat at the table, indulging in their own means of passing time. Some chattered till Maggie grit her teeth in agitation, others messed with their gear opting to work on repairs now rather than before it was too late.
"You fullahs keep tellin' me this game is a death sentence but here I am." She rasped cockily.
