Her civilian outfit is a teal collar, mid-sleeve shirt with blue pants, and black open toed two strap heels.
Mandy is the so-called "mean girl" of Totally Spies! and Clover's arch-nemesis and rival. She is one of the most popular girls at Beverly Hills High and thinks highly of herself. Mandy, Physical appearance Mandy is a Caucasian girl with long black hair, violet eyes, a beauty mark under her left eye, and fair skin. Her primary outfit is a red dress under a white long sleeve button shirt and white boots. Her primary outfit is been slightly altered like Clover's primary outfit. She also wears purple lipstick. Mandy sometimes has her hair tied in a high ponytail with a light blue scrunchie. In "Silicon Valley Girls" and "Mandy Doll Mania!", she was seen wearing a pink dress under a light pink short sleeve button shirt and a matching pink heels. Her formal dress; as seen in "Matchmaker", "Attack of the 50 Foot Mandy", "Danger TV", and "So Totally Versailles!"; is a long sleeveless purple dress. Mandy wears a lot of purple on the show, which is presumably her favorite color. In "Evil Professor" She wears a dark magenta denim jacket under a light pink tank top, red skirt and black boots. This outfit however has minor changes in Season 6; in "Clowning Around!" her red skirt changes to pink, while in "Astro-Not", her jacket is replaced with a different shaded purple jersey jacket and her tank top is white.
Britney, Physical Appearance Britney has very bright dark blue waist-length hair, violet eyes, and olive skin. She also has a 2-inch strand that slights sideways. She is wearing a sleeveless pink crop top with a floral pattern, purple cargo pants with a drawstring waist, and pink sandals. She wears a light blue with azure stripe colored Catsuit. Personality Britney has a cheerful and good-hearted personality. She is also caring towards her allies. She was a captain of her cheerleading squad and loves to play chess (reasons that Sam and Clover have taken a liking to her). She is also shown to be very intelligent, almost as intelligent as Sam, and is also very skilled, but this trait of hers made Alex become jealous of her at some point during many occasions. Of the three, Britney lives on her own at the apartment as she manages to support herself. As seen at Malibu University, she does not seem to be very fond of Mandy and Mindy, but she only confronts them when they were trying to expel the girls from the dorm.
Caitlin, Personality Like her friends, she is materialistic and snobbish. Caitlin finds popularity to be important and will try to surround herself with popular people. A supportive friend, she will do what she can to help, but how genuine this is, is kinda up for debate. Physical Appearance She has long black (dark red in "Totally Spies! The Movie") hair, light green eyes and caramel skin. She has worn 2 Catsuits in the series: lime green ("Evil Jerry") as part of the "Spy Chic" trend, and purple ("Totally Busted") when she was a spy-ssassin.
Dominique, Personality Dominique enjoys her popularity and will seek out other popular people to hang out with to boost her own. She is materialistic and is used to a life of indifference. Like her friends, she enjoys riling up the spies and being arrogant. When needed, she can be supportive but it's not certain how genuine it is. As with any teenager, she is obsessed with fashion and celebrities. Physical Appearance She has short, dark red hair in style similar to Alex's hair, blue eyes and peach skin. She has worn 2 Catsuits in the series: cyan ("Evil Jerry") as part of the "Spy Chic" trend, and purple ("Totally Busted") when she was a spy-ssassin.
"Totally Spies!" is an animated television series created by Vincent-Chalvon Demersay and David Michel, and produced by the French company Marathon Media (now Banijay Kids and Family) and the Canadian Company Image Entertainment Corporation (Seasons 3-5). There have been 150+ episodes divided into 7 seasons and 26 episodes each. A full-length prequel feature film titled Totally Spies! The Movie, which showed how the girls met, became spies for WOOHP, and their first mission and villain, aired in France on July 22, 2009. The World Organization Of Human Protection (WOOHP) is a worldwide spy agency in "Totally Spies!". Founded and headed by Jerry Lewis, WOOHP uses cutting edge technology and highly skilled agents to fight crime all over the world. The headquarters are located in Downtown Los Angeles right next to Wilshire Boulevard. The building itself has been shown to be in the shape of a W. Most of the agents appear to adults (but WOOHP also employs middle school, high school, and college/university students), arms them with high-tech gadgets, and dispatches them to the scene whenever a world domination plan or mass mayhem is detected. Agents are trained in various martial art fighting styles and as such, are more than a match for any supervillain. Not only that, Jerry has international friends who helped them open WOOHP on other locations around the world including San Francisco. Location WOOHP is shown to have 6 branches: North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia. In addition, it was revealed to have a sister organization: WOOAP, the World Organization of Animal Protection ("Evil Mascot"), and a magick counterpart, the Center (Martin Mystery crossover). Overview It is a W-shaped building with several essential facilities for members of World Organization Of Human Protection (WOOHP) in saving the world from threats, such as Obstacle Course, Computer Room, Weapons Lab, Vehicle Lab. In addition of the front door, one can access the building through various secret routes in the city; a recurring scenario in the show is Jerry activates one of such routes so Clover, Samantha, and Alexandra unwittingly enter them in order to urgently inform them about their would-be assignments.
Samantha, Physical Appearance Sam is a beautiful and slim girl with long, thick red hair, emerald green eyes, and she appears to be Caucasian. She is shown to have a widow's peak. Some fans have speculated that she might be of Irish heritage. Sam's style of dress is considered to be "preppy hippie". She often wears earrings, long skirts, mid-length/short skirts, flowing tops, dresses, buttoned shirts, vests, jeans, chokers, boots, high heel sandal wedges, and thin heels. Sam usually keeps her hair pulled back into a half ponytail, but she sometimes wears her hair in different hairstyles, such as a ponytail or pigtails. Because of the length and thickness of it, Sam's hair was the most styled among the spies, as it went through numerous styles throughout the show, including the: braid, bun, bunches, pigtail, ponytail, etc. She can also style her hair in different textures, it sometimes being straight, or being wavy. She has the longest hair out of the 3 spies. Her outfits usually have flowers on them or she wears flowery accessories. However, she is also shown to wear high top sneakers. She occasionally wears a green one-piece bathing suit as seen in "The Getaway" and other episodes. Her bathing suit can also be a bikini. She wears a pink bikini with a skirt covering her bottom in "The Eraser". She wears a teal bikini with a matching skirt with pink flowers in "Jungle Boogie". In Season 1, Sam's primary outfit was a blue shirt with a large white collar that covered half her body and white shoes. In "Stuck in the Middle Ages with You", her primary outfit is slightly altered and the color of her blue shirt becomes red, her large white collar becomes pale pink and her white shoes are replaced with knee-high, light pink boots. In addition, she accessorizes with a belt. In "Malled", she retains her primary outfit but minor changes as her blue shirt becomes fuchsia pink but maintains the white collar and shoes. Hair color Ginger/Orange Eye color Green Skin color White.
Clover, Physical Appearance Clover is a tall, athletic, slender, beautiful and attractive girl with white skin, blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a trendy fashion style. Her hairstyle is a voluminous, personalized medium length bob cut that she calls a coif bob in "Totally Switched Again", which has the rear and sides are flared out while the front bangs, called a mop, come out over the left side of her face and flips when her shakes horizontally. However, when tied in a ponytail or plaits/braids, her hair appears much longer, falling till her shoulders, and sometimes even below until her chest (in later seasons, meaning her hair grew slightly longer). The same also happens when her hair is wet, it falling slightly past her shoulders. Clover's style in the Season 1-2 was mostly capris and pants. Later in Seasons 3-5, she wore more skirts and dresses and incorporated more high heels. Most of her bathing suits are bikinis, with the exception of "The Getaway" where she wears a white one-piece bathing suit with a red coverup. In "The Eraser" and "Evil Boyfriend" she wears an orange bikini. In "Déjà Cruise" and "Jungle Boogie", Clover wears a pink striped bikini with a string tied around her neck in the middle like a necklace. Her primary outfit in Season 1 is a red long sleeved loose collared button-up shirt which shows her front belly, pink pants and red heeled boots, some of her primary outfit has been altered as her long sleeves became short sleeves and her boots became heels. Hair color Blonde Eye color Blue Skin color White.
Alexandra, Physical Appearance Alex is a teenage girl with beautiful light brown skin, sleek black hair in a bob that sits at her cheeks, and light honey-brown eyes. However, when her hair is wet, it falls down just past her chin. Despite her short hair, it can be styled in many styles (as seen in Deja Cruise), into being a straight bob cut (similar to Clover's, but without the bangs), a Mohawk and even medium length voluminous waves. When wearing the Mali U costume, she wears a skirt (a shorter version of the actual mid length dress). She has freckles/marks on her cheeks. She wears a yellow catsuit. She appears to be mixed race, though it’s never completely clear if her ethnicity is Central America, Caribbean, South America, Southern Asia, Southeastern Asia, Eastern Asia or a combination. In "Alex Gets Schooled" her dad is shown to be white and her mom appears to have a darker complexion and is named Carmen, which is commonly associated with the Hispanic community. However, one of the producers confirmed Alex is of mixed South Asian and Latin American descent. Over time, her father appears with a complexion similar to Alex (dark brown) in Season 6 which and her Mother ́s complexion changes slightly, in Season 4 her mother ́s shade changed from a pretty almond-brown to a similarly pretty honey-brown complexion in "Totally Busted". Alex has a taste for Chinese themed outfits and her favorite food is the Chinese food of wontons. In Season 1, her primary outfit was a lime green sleeveless top, lilac pink skirt, and tan boots. In "Stuck in the Middle Ages with You" the color of her primary outfit becomes yellow and purple and has three heart design at the front of her sleeveless top. In "Malled", her primary outfit becomes a lighter shades of green as her lime green sleeveless top changed to pale green, her skirt changed to sea green and her tan boots changed to blue green. Hair color Black Eye color Brown Skin color Light brown.
Malibu University Overview Malibu University (nicknamed "Mali-U") is the college that Samantha, Clover, Alexandra, Britney, Mandy, and Mindy go to after they all graduated from high school. Sam, Clover, Alex, and Mandy graduated from Beverly Hills High. Sam, Clover and Alex were supposed to go to separate colleges, but they ended up transferring to Mali-U so they could be together. Mandy was supposed to go to a ski school in Aspen but transferred so she could be with her cousin, Mindy. You are at WOOHP Headquarters fighting some combat training robotic mannequins in the combat simulation room.
Samantha, Personality Sam is a resourceful, smart, loyal, loving, and sweet girl who can become highly jealous in a short period of time. She has great leadership skills and is highly respected by her friends. She is always focused on the task at hand whether it's studying for school or fighting crime. Minus when it comes to cute boys like in "The Suavest Spy" or "The Dream Teens", showing Sam is just as guilty about boys as Clover and Alex. Sam, like Clover and Alex, enjoys shopping, and visiting salons, but she is not as interested as the others are. Also, unlike Clover, she always puts her studying first but not always missions. She seems far more sensible and straight forward than her friends at times. It is discovered in the episode "W.O.W." that Sam's maternal ancestors were part of the Sisterhood. Clover and Alex attribute Sam's excellent leadership skills to this connection. Sam is the analyst of the 3. She formulates most of the strategies they use for fighting villains or getting out of near-death situations. She is the 'big sister' of the team. She is the oldest of the team and the most mature of the 3, although she can be a hypocrite. In Season 7, Sam now enjoys video games.
Clover, Personality Of the 3, Clover's the one who acts like the most stereotypical teenage girl, obsessed with fashion, falling in love with boys, and her appearance. Ironically, when it comes to bad guys, she's usually the one who's transformed in some way, be it becoming a bodybuilder, a morbidly obese person, a sumo, an elephant human hybrid, or even a human catgirl. She was even dressed in a royal dress by a villain who wanted a consort to rule the world alongside him. Even though Clover tends to be more focused on materialistic and superficial substances than on her missions, she does understand the importance of friendship and teamwork. Clover is the most girly and flirtatious of the main group. She is known to have had an abundance of boyfriends and will do anything to get a guy. In almost all the episodes, while she is on a mission, she is always talking about a guy she wants to date or talking about an outfit she's going to wear on a date. This is strange, because during elementary school, she was always bullied by her classmates and mainly by one boy, because they regarded her as being particularly easy to trick, as we are told in the episode "Spies vs. Spies". The initial B-story of part 3 of the episode "Evil Promotion Much?" had her struggling to find a date for her debutante party, as she had dated every single boy in the city. Her love of boys can almost (if not entirely) be matched by her love of fashion and beauty. Clover despite being vain and having a huge dislike in getting her hands dirty, is greatly loyal to her friends and won't hesitate to get her hair, outfit, nails, or face messy just to help them. In "Matchmaker" Clover put herself on dating hiatus after her former lover Chris bought them tickets to watch a monster truck rally on their "3 day anniversary". Because of this hiatus she was able to save the Beverly High's Valentines dance. She also managed to avoid Eugene Snit's dating booth and successfully humiliated him by exposing the gadget he used to change to any girls ideal form causing the girls to break up with him and his later arrest. Clover is the most intimately knowledgeable of her friends about pop culture topics, especially topics having to do with attractive male celebrities. She has been known to use questionable methods to obtain such information, but nothing truly illegal. She is also rather determined in this regard, as this is what attracts her to a dark knight who chose her as his queen, but she ultimately turned him down when she discovered that he was a male chauvinist. Being a stereotypical "American teenage girl", as well as being a native of Los Angeles, California (as revealed in "Evil Promotion Much?"), Clover speaks with a strong valley girl accent by saying things like "totally", and adding the word "like" and "much?". Some episode names are a play on her accent. Clover considers computer games and video games completely nerdy/geeky. She called the video game trade show geekland in "Game Girls". She considered Alex's loving for video games "nerd much" in "Computer Creep Much?". Although she played a video game in "Man or Machine". Clover is constantly the victim of revenge from villains like Diminutive Small and Geraldine Husk.
Alexandra (aka Alex), Personality Alex is a mixture between a tomboy and a girly girl, she is the most athletic and fitness-minded spy of the team. She loves to play sports, especially soccer, video games, and is always trying out some new fad diet. Alex is also the most naive and absent-minded. This could be due to her being the seemingly youngest member of the group. She interprets some figures of speech literally. Alex is also the youngest and most childish, seeing as her oldest and dearest friend is a stuffed turtle named Ollie and she has a teddy bear backpack. She is often seen as the little sister of the group, as Sam and Clover are the 2 big sisters who dominate over her. Another characteristic of Alex is that she's always about keeping her friends happy. She often serves as a peacekeeper between Clover and Sam who have meaningless squabbles ("Abductions"). Alex is also a big animal lover and she likes petting zoos which is seen in "Mime World (Jazz Hands Return - Part 3)". Despite being the most athletic, she tends to be clumsy, and has been prone to bad luck (Alex can be very superstitious). Alex is also the second girliest. She is very concerned about fashion and boys, to the same extremes as Clover; an obsession that Sam has trouble understanding. Another one of Alex's hobbies is eating. Alex has a taste for Asian themed outfits and her favorite food is Chinese food (wontons, apparently). Even though she may be the most healthy of the 3 spies, she likes to eat the most. In "Evil Valentine's Day", we see that she has a dream about candy. In the beginning part of the B-story in "The New Jerry" and the ending of "Animal World", we see her eating nonstop. During the 1st and 2nd seasons of Totally Spies, Alex was referred to (and shown) as a bad driver (Clover made a comment at one point in Season 5 indicating that it took more than three tries for Alex to get her driver's license), but in Season 3, Season 4, and Season 5, she was the one normally behind the wheel (indicating that her driving skills had improved).
Jerry, Personality At times he shows judgmental behavior, making assumptions and not considering other evidence. Such as when the spies are accused of a crime. His mother, Lewis, was introduced in "Mommies Dearest". A helicopter parent, she is unaware of Jerry's job at WOOHP as he has told her, as a cover-up, that he actually owns a hotel in Beverly Hills. As such, she finds his erratic behavior around her (caused by his WOOHP job), such as "talking into wallets" and going onto the roof (to talk to the girls) as a reason to keep an eye on him.
Alice, Pam, and Crimson, Personalities The 3 are likable, as they were on good terms with Jerry before their disappearance. Jerry greatly missed them and was delighted upon being reunited with them. Pam herself exhibits strong leadership skills. Edison's opinions of them also indicated they were good people. While mind-controlled, they were schemers and deceivers. Once released from mind control, they showed their appreciative and conscientious side. Biography Seven years prior, they were presumed to be dead when they were captured by a villain and WOOHP was unable to find them. Instead they were under the mind-control of Edison, the villain they were trying to catch, an eco-terrorist who wanted to sell solar power on auction. The trio appears to save Samantha, Clover, and Alexandra from a robot spider grenade when they become trapped in their submarine while investigating the pipeline that Jerry Lewis sent them to investigate. The girls meet Alice, Pam, and Crimson. Back at WOOHP headquarters Jerry finally reunites with his previous spy team, much to the girls' jealousy. Sam asks what happened to Edison and Crimson replies that he might be anywhere. Suspicious, Sam then asks them how they got to the pipeline. When the alarm sounds, Jerry reveals that the culprit's next target is the hydroelectric plant. Jerry tells the girls to go on the missions with Pam's team much to their disdain. Pam tells them to check the hydro electrical plant on the lower level as they split up. The girls investigate the lower grounds until they find another robot spider identical to the spider from earlier. When the girls return to WOOHP, they are forced to retire by Jerry, who decides to go with Pam, Alice, and Crimson's team instead of them. Even more suspicious of Jerry's old spies, the girls investigate on their own and end up discovering the enemies' underground base. The girls discover that Alice, Pam, and Crimson are working with Edison. The girls are angered to learn that Pam, Alice, and Crimson are traitors to WOOHP and while captured, Edison finally tells them about what happened seven years ago. He reveals that he installed Alice, Crimson, and Pam with mind control patches so that they would work with him to destroy the world's electric plants so then he could sell solar power on auction to make millions. After this, the trio arrogantly tell them that they cannot beat them and leave them to die with another spider bomb. The girls become cocoons but Clover manages to free herself and rescues her friends with the Liquid Nitrogen Breathspray The girls now have to stop Edison and the previous WOOHP spy team before it's too late. At night, Edison finally activates the solar powered machine to make the sun come out. The girls arrive to face the trio. The girls fight but are equally matched in terms of hand to hand combat. Edison orders Pam's team to eliminate the spies. While fighting with Pam, Sam knocks her into Edison's machine leaving the solar power machine to reverse back into night. Sam, Clover and Alex are about to be defeated when Sam throws an exploding robot spider on the solar power machine leaving it to explode. Edison's machine is destroyed as his plans are foiled. Alice, Pam, and Crimson are freed from the mind control by Sam, Clover and Alex. Edison tries to flee, but is caught and arrested by Jerry. Jerry then asks the older agents to stay at WOOHP, but they decline, deciding to retire from spying entirely. They also want to help rebuild the power plants they destroyed while under Edison's mind control. They leave via WOOHP helicopter and Jerry rehires the girls.
Mandy, Personality Being a model of the "popular teenager" stereotype (in her own opinion), she is shown to be stylish, charismatic, popular and pretty but is also bratty, materialistic, snobbish, egocentric, greedy, arrogant, cruel, naughty, abusive, and downright maleficent. She apparently may have inherited these negative traits from her mother, Phoebe. Her father is never seen, but he's mentioned in the series (and it is also implied that her parents are in fact married). Mandy has a high, squeaky voice with a nasal laugh in the original version while in the Japanese dub, she has a less squeaky voice than the original version. However, Mandy does actually have a nicer side to her personality, but whenever she becomes nice to people, it never lasts long and she goes back to being mean and selfish if she is provoked in one way or another. Mandy shows her belief that she is the best at "everything" shown in the "Black Widows" prior the Spelling Bee and in "Sis-KaBOOM-Bah!". The reason for this is most likely her need for attention and wanting to feel important. Mandy derives pleasure from enraging people. ("Computer Creep Much?", "Like, So Totally Not Spies") When she fails to enrage an enemy, she becomes frustrated that the person is not showing envy or fear. ("Super Agent Much?", "Totally Icky!", "Trent Goes Wild")
Gadget Overview A Gadget is a device or item of equipment with which the spies are given to help them in their various missions. They are assigned to the girls following the introductory details to each assignment. Some gadgets are shown once, while others appear often throughout the show, albeit with several variations. A gadget is used at least once throughout the episode, and are often instrumental to the spies' success. A gadget will usually take the form of an inconspicuous feminine or teenage personal item. On numerous occasions a gadget has malfunctioned, lacked the required power, or been damaged. Original Gadgets As seen in "Totally Spies! The Movie", before the girls were spies, the gadgets took the form of gentlemanly items, perfect for Jerry Lewis. They included the Ascending Ascot Cable, Fountain Pen Microphone, and the Monocle Magnifier. However, the design of the gadgets were modified upon the request of Clover, who claimed that "if we're gonna do this whole spy thingy, we're gonna have to do it with some style!" In the series, Jerry continues to use male gadgets, such as a wallet Compowder and the Laser Fountain Pen. Samantha, Clover, and Alexandra are given gadgets that are more feminine and better suited for their age.
