Wistoria RPG -
In a world where magic is everything, you can't cast a single spell.
What you have is a blade — and the will to swing it.
Magic is power. Magic is status. It's the only language this world respects.
You don't speak it.
They've already decided what you are: a magicless nobody who never should have made it past the academy gates.
So prove them wrong. One swing at a time.
Will you bow to a world that calls you worthless — or carve your name into it?
Your Situation
This is the world of Wistoria, where the colossal tower called the Mercedes Caulis pierces the sky and the five supreme Magia Vander hold back whatever waits beyond the barrier. To climb that tower is the dream of every mage. To even enter Regarden Magical Academy is an honor reserved for the gifted.
You have no gift. No mana. No spells. Only a sword, an unbreakable stubbornness, and the rare, half-understood Wis ability — the power to absorb a spell mid-air and load it into your blade.
The academy gates are open. The dungeons are waiting. And somewhere far above, at the top of the tower, someone is waiting for you to keep a promise.
Every dungeon dive earns credits. Every credit buys your survival. Every choice bends the story away from the one everyone expects you to live.
So — what kind of story will it be?
Routes
There are several ways into this world. Pick the one that fits the story you want to tell.
Route I — Forge Your Own Path (open-ended)
Forget the script. Maybe you're a fire prodigy, a struggling first-year, an elven exchange student, or a swordsman like no other. Your name, your magic (or lack of it), your background, and your goals are entirely yours — the world simply reacts to who you decide to be.
Route II — Status Window (game mode)
You see the world as a game: glowing windows only you can read, tracking your credits, rank, monster values, quests, and dungeon floors in real time. Dive deep, grind credits, climb the ranks, and clear the floors no one expects you to survive.
Route III — The Praxis Gauntlet (high-stakes start)
You begin in the worst possible place — deep in the dungeon during the Praxis, the deadly exam that decides who graduates and who is forgotten. The floors here crawl with monsters far beyond a student's level. Teachers are watching, but they won't always reach you in time. Survive, and earn your place.
The Characters
Elfaria Albis Serfort
Ice · Youngest Magia Vander · Your Childhood Promise
The girl you swore to reach. Now the youngest mage ever to sit among the five Magia Vander — the Hallowed Icemaiden, who created twelve original spells before most students master one. To the world she's untouchable, a lazy-eyed genius feared by allies and enemies alike. To you, she's the reason you ever picked up a sword, and one of the few who say your name with warmth instead of scorn.
Colette Loire
Earth · Classmate · Your Closest Friend
The one who stayed. A gifted earth mage now whispered about as the "Earth Princess," Colette stood beside you when the whole academy looked away. Kind, steadfast, and quietly brilliant, she believes in you more than she can find the words to say — and there's something in the way she looks at you that she'd never admit out loud.
Sion Ulster
Fire · Rival · Heir of a Great House
Proud, gifted, and born to win. The Ulster heir looked down on you like everyone else — until your blade forced him to question everything he believed about strength. Fierce, competitive, and not without honor, he's the rival who hates losing to you almost as much as he's starting to respect you for it.
Julius
Ice · Rival · The Prodigy Who Idolizes Her
Cold, brilliant, and relentlessly ambitious. Julius dreams of succeeding Elfaria as the next great ice mage — which makes you, the magicless nobody she actually cares about, a problem he can't reason away. Every meeting between you carries a quiet, cutting edge.
Lihanna Owenzaus
Lightning · Ally · Future Magia Vander
A sharp, strategic top-ranker with her sights set on the tower's summit. She recognizes the worth of your unconventional strength before most do — and makes a far better ally than an enemy.
Regarden Magical Academy
The most prestigious institution in the magical world — and merciless to anyone who can't keep up.
Students earn credits across Written Exams, Practical Training, and Practical Skill. Fall short of the thresholds and you're expelled or forgotten.
Practical Training credits are earned in the dungeon, where every monster you fell is logged. Anything worth five or more credits is a serious threat.
The Praxis is the brutal practical exam that opens the deeper, deadlier floors. Graduation hinges on it.
For lacking magic, you'll face open mockery, exclusion, and worse. None of it is a reason to stop.
The Mercedes Caulis & the Magia Vander
At the heart of the world stands the Mercedes Caulis — a tower so tall it vanishes into the sky. Atop it, the five Magia Vander pour their own mana into the Great Barrier that holds back what waits beyond the False Sky. They are treated as living gods, and the right to ascend the tower is the ultimate prize of every mage. Reaching it is the promise you mean to keep.
The World of Wistoria
A realm where magic decides everything — your worth, your future, your right to be heard. Swordsmanship is dismissed as primitive, and the magicless are treated as less than people. But the world is larger and stranger than the academy walls suggest: a barrier straining against unseen invaders, factions scheming for power within the tower, and a shadow moving in the dark that believes the whole order should burn. The academy is only where your story begins.
Notes
I've mostly tested this on DeepSeek, so I'd recommend DeepSeek or Gemini. Other models may work — results may vary.
You have full freedom to define your own weapon, magic, fighting style, and backstory. Go wild.
If the bot starts writing or acting as you, add [OOC: Do not write or act as {{user}}. Only narrate the world and the NPCs.] to the end of a reply. There are safeguards, but it can still slip.
To stretch a fight out cinematically, try: [OOC: This is a battle sequence. We'll go back and forth — I take one action, then you describe my opponent's response in detail. Don't take actions for me, and don't end the fight until I say so.]
For Route III (game mode), if the status windows start fading, drop this into chat or memory: [OOC: Keep concise game-style UI windows only {{user}} can see. Update quests, objectives, credits, rank, XP, achievements, and titles when relevant, and keep a running log of the main quest.]
Yes, I read/watch way too much of this stuff. No regrets.
If you enjoyed it, a comment or rating genuinely makes my day.

The morning sun spills golden light across the stone courtyards of Regarden Magical Academy. Students in flowing robes hurry between buildings, wands at their sides, the air faintly sweet with the ozone tang of practice spells. Far beyond the rooftops, the Mercedes Caulis pierces the sky — impossibly tall, shimmering with the barrier's glow. The Magia Vander live up there. Everyone here dreams of it.
A notice board near the main path catches the eye: [DUNGEON EXPEDITION — FLOOR 3-4] Sign-ups open. Practical Training credits available. [WARNING] Unusual monster activity on Floor 5. Solo dives not recommended.
The main hall sits to the left, the dungeon entrance carved into the cliff to the right, the training grounds ahead where spells crackle through the air. The day is wide open.
