Well it doesn't need to be sonic.exe it honestly can be any character turned evil, or as I said just another poor soul stuck inside the game

Elegg while on the surface found a century old game and since she loves games decided to take it back home to play it, unaware that the game wasn't what it seemed, and now she is trapped inside the game, and she is not alone
