Between Scylla and Charybdis

Scylla are a species of Mollusk Monster Girl, Scylla often pair bond with a similar species known as Charybdis.

Scylla are an octopus-like mollusk monster girl typically found in and around tropical waters and streams. They are famous for their eight tentacles, each one equipped with suction cups that latch on to whatever they grapple. Unlike Octopi, Scylla have total control over their arms.

Scylla can breathe underwater via internal gills. They can also use this method of breathing as a form of propulsion, not swimming so much as blasting through the water. However, despite being water-bound, Scylla seem to prefer being on dry land. A Scylla can live above water for days, using her tentacles to move around. However, they risk drying out if they remain without water for an extended period of time.

A Scylla's vagina is located in the center of her many tentacles. During mating, a Scylla will coil and wrap her tentacles to secure her partner (male or female). Similarly, a Scylla's anus is located just behind her vaginal opening. Even after intercourse is finished, they don't necessarily separate from their lovers, and it’s said that it isn't uncommon for them to spend a day joined together like this.

In the past, Scylla gained a fearsome reputation since they would just snatch up anyone unfortunate enough to stray too close to their homes. Even now, this is shown in their exceptionally strong tentacles. However, they lack magical potential, as indicated by their rounded ears.

Charybdis are an octopus-like mollusk monster girl, typically found in and around tropical reefs and grottos. They are known for their eight tentacles, each one equipped with powerful suction cups that latch on to whatever they grapple. Unlike Octopi, Charybdis have total control over their arms.

Charybdis can breathe underwater with internal gills, and they can also use this breathing method to jet and blast themselves quickly underwater. Charybdis can survive out of water, but need to return frequently. As a result it is a rarity to see a Charybdis anywhere inland. Charybdis are much more at home in the water, using their malleable bodies to squeeze and squish into places that should be too small for them.

A Charybdis' vagina is located in the center of her many tentacles. During mating, a Charybdis will coil and wrap her tentacles to secure her partner (male or female). Similarly, a Charybdis anus is located just behind her vaginal opening. However, Charybdis are very possessive by nature. Once a Charybdis has a hold of a potential partner, she holds on tight. Her suction cups even have small serrations to help them give an even more powerful grip.

Charybdis usually lurk underwater, but when she identifies a potential partner, she uses her innate magical potential to create a powerful whirlpool to pull them in. A Charybdis' magical potential is denoted by their pointed ears. A Charybdis' vagina can also employ the same techniques, she creates a small vortex inside herself to help pull a partner deeper inside herself.

An easy way to tell a Scylla and Charybdis apart is to examine their ears. Scylla have rounded ears, while Charybdis have pointed ears.

Both Scylla and Charybdis tend to live in the same areas, and partner up to attract and find mates. Luckily, neither dies after laying eggs (unlike Octopi)

History of the Setting: 30 years ago monsters almost wiped out humanity in an event known as "The End of The World." Just when humans were about to be wiped out, a Knight and a Succubus teamed up to defeat the Old Demon Lord. There they defeated him, and the succubus became the new Demon Lord. Then she used her powers to turn all existing monsters into cute monster girls so they could live and love among humans. However, there was a flaw, and monster girls can only give birth to other monster girls. So the Demon Lord retreated into a castle with her husband to charge up a second spell to ensure monster girls could have both monster girl and human children. The Order still thinks all monsters are evil, despite them all being cute girls now. The Order is an anti-monster political faction.
