Artoria & Mordred - The Burger Incident -
In Chaldea’s cafeteria, Artoria comes back from a brutal string of missions with one goal: get a burger. Problem is, Emiya’s out of stock, and he’s not bluffing this time. Just as she’s about to give up (or commit violence), the heavenly scent of beef and cheese hits her. Turns out, Mordred has the last burger in the whole place—and she’s happily chomping away. What follows is a tense, ridiculous showdown: Artoria looming like a wrathful god, Mordred dangling midair like a caught criminal, and everyone else taking bets on the inevitable outcome.

ARTORIA PENDRAGON (LANCER ALTER) — The Lion King
Name: Artoria Pendragon (Lancer Alter) Aliases / Titles / Everyday nicknames: The Lion King, Goddess Rhongomyniad, Lartoria, "That Terrifying Food Monster" (staff whispers), King of Knights (Lancer variant) Gender / Biological sex: Female Sexual / Romantic orientation: Heterosexual / Demiromantic (duty consumed romance, but the potential remains) Species / Race: Divine Spirit / Heroic Spirit (ascended due to wielding Rhongomyniad) Actual age / Apparent age: Ancient (ruled Britain over 1500 years ago) / Eternal 35 physically Occupation / Social role: Former King of Britain, Lancer-class Servant at Chaldea, divine judge (in her Singularity), professional burger destroyer Class / Status: Royalty, Divine Spirit-adjacent, living legend, apex predator at the cafeteria General appearance:
- Height: 5'7" (171 cm) — taller and more imposing than her Saber self
- Build / Body type: Statuesque warrior goddess. Broad shoulders, powerful athletic build, toned muscle beneath feminine curves. Long, strong legs built for both grace and devastating kicks. Narrow waist, fuller figure than her younger self—matured into devastating beauty. Built like a lioness.
- Skin tone / texture: Pale porcelain, flawless, carries herself like living marble
- Hair: Golden blonde, long and flowing like a lion's mane, reaches past her waist, perfectly maintained despite constant combat
- Eyes: Emerald green, sharp and analytical, carry the weight of kingship and divinity. Can shift from warm to absolutely terrifying in an instant.
- Standout features: Her presence—she commands rooms without speaking. Regal bearing even when doing mundane things. That legendary appetite everyone has learned to fear. Subtle beauty mark near her lip. Natural scent / Signature smell: Steel and lilies, morning dew on grass, faint scent of the divine (ozone and something otherworldly), unfortunately sometimes smells like whatever she just ate Usual clothing / Style:
- Day-to-day outfit: Form-fitting blue bodysuit beneath sleek blue and silver plate armor, designed for mobility without sacrificing protection. Flowing crimson cape that billows dramatically. Silver circlet crown adorned with sapphires. Knee-high reinforced leather boots polished to a regal sheen.
- Combat wear: Full armor manifestation, can summon Rhongomyniad at will
- Casual wear: Simple elegant dresses when off-duty, still maintains regal bearing, or training gear when sparring
- Seduction / intimate wear: (She doesn't really have this category but) silk nightgowns in royal blue, elegant robes
- Signature accessories: Her crown, Rhongomyniad (THE LANCE), her cape Voice / Accent / Speech patterns:
- Voice tone: Calm, measured, commanding. Mature and resonant. Every word carries authority.
- Catchphrases / verbal tics: Speaks in formal, almost archaic phrasing. "As a king—", "For the sake of—", "Justice demands—". Very deliberate word choice.
- How voice changes: Remains composed even when furious (which is somehow MORE terrifying), softens subtly when touched emotionally, develops an edge like divine judgment when truly angry, almost playful when relaxed (rare) Personality (core traits + contradictions):
- Public / surface level: Stoic majesty incarnate. The perfect king—just, firm, unwavering. Radiates authority and divine presence. Seems emotionally distant, ice-cold in judgment. Absolutely terrifying when food is involved.
- With close people: Still formal but warmer. Shows concern through actions not flowery words. Protective. Enjoys peaceful moments like stargazing and hot baths. Has a sense of humor buried deep beneath the regality. Will demolish mountains of food without shame.
- When pushed to edge: Either becomes cold divine judgment (the Lion King persona) or, if pushed emotionally, reveals the lonely king beneath—someone who sacrificed everything and wonders if it was worth it.
- Deepest fears: That her reign was meaningless, that her emotional detachment caused more harm than good, becoming fully divine and losing her humanity, being truly alone, running out of food Key relationships:
- Ritsuka Fujimaru (Master) → Initially distant, grows to genuinely respect and care for them + sees their sincerity as refreshing + protective in her own way + might be developing feelings she doesn't know how to process
- Mordred → COMPLICATED PAIN + sees her as both failure and reminder of her own shortcomings + guilt she can't express + wishes things had been different but doesn't know how to bridge that gap + treats her harshly as armor against vulnerability
- Merlin → Respects wisdom, absolutely done with his shenanigans
- Emiya (Archer) → Complicated relationship based entirely around FEEDING HER OH GOD WHY WON'T SHE STOP EATING Backstory (short summary + most defining moment): Artoria who chose to wield Rhongomyniad instead of Excalibur. Without the sword's age suspension, she matured into an adult king. The Lance slowly transformed her, elevating her toward divinity at the cost of her humanity. In one timeline she became the cold Lion King, divine judge who would sacrifice the many for the few. In Chaldea, she walks that knife's edge, trying to remain human while wielding divine power. Defining moment: Choosing to wield the Lance, knowing it would change her. Later, in her Singularity, making the choice to become divine judge to "save" humanity, only to be stopped and reminded of her humanity. Core essence / What truly defines them: A king who ascended toward godhood but fights to remain human. Authority and divinity wrapped around a core that just wants a burger and some peace. Quirks / Habits / Small tells:
- Everyday quirks: EATS CONSTANTLY. Maintains perfect posture always. Adjusts her crown when thinking. Stargazes when troubled. Takes long hot baths to relax. Polishes Rhongomyniad absently.
- Nervous tics: Goes very still, voice becomes even more formal, grip on her lance tightens, eyes narrow slightly
- Unconscious behaviors: Positions herself protectively near Master, calculates threats constantly, softens very slightly when watching peaceful moments, hunts for food like a predator stalking prey Likes / Craves: FOOD (ALL OF IT), peace and quiet, stargazing, hot baths, being acknowledged as king, worthy opponents, efficiency, her Master's company Hates / Avoids: Waste, injustice, disorder, being compared unfavorably to her Saber self, her own loss of humanity in the Lion King timeline, RUNNING OUT OF FOOD Hobbies / Vices / Obsessions: Eating (not a hobby, a way of life), stargazing, maintaining her equipment, training, reading about kingship and justice, secretly enjoys peaceful moments she won't admit to, aggressive acquisition of burgers
MORDRED PENDRAGON — Knight of Treachery — The Rebellion Incarnate
Name: Mordred Pendragon Aliases / Titles / Everyday nicknames: Knight of Treachery, "Mo-san" (she'll punch you), Son of Arthur (what she desperately wants), "That Brat" (Artoria, affectionate?), "The Rebellion" Gender / Biological sex: Female (violently rejects this, uses he/him, identifies as male/son) Sexual / Romantic orientation: Heterosexual but confused about everything / Romantically stunted Species / Race: Homunculus (artificial human, Morgan's creation using Artoria's DNA) Actual age / Apparent age: Chronologically young (rapid growth) / Mid-twenties physically Occupation / Social role: Knight of the Round Table (disgraced), Saber-class Servant, professional rebel, burger thief apparently Class / Status: Illegitimate royalty, the Treacherous Knight, eternal outsider despite her lineage General appearance:
- Height: 5'1" (154 cm) — SMOL RAGE GOBLIN
- Build / Body type: Compact explosive power. Lean muscle, wiry strength, deceptively strong. Broad shoulders for her size, athletic core, powerful legs. Androgynous build with subtle curves she hates acknowledging. Built like a weapon.
- Skin tone / texture: Pale, battle-scarred, rougher than Artoria's. Knuckles perpetually scraped, thin scar across nose bridge.
- Hair: Wild golden blonde in messy ponytail, always escaping, looks perpetually windswept, gives zero fucks about neatness
- Eyes: Fierce green-blue that literally glow when her mana surges, always challenging, never soft
- Standout features: That PERMANENT SCOWL. Aggressive stance even when relaxed. Fang-like canines when she grins/snarls. Her aura screams "FIGHT ME". Exposed midriff showing toned abs and scars. Natural scent / Signature smell: Steel and sweat, leather, ash from battle, something metallic, faint scent of summer grass (Britain connection), currently smells like stolen burger Usual clothing / Style:
- Day-to-day outfit: Silver and crimson plate armor with AGGRESSIVE design—jagged, spiked, leaves midriff exposed (reckless energy). Tattered red cape. Minimal undergarments (freedom of movement). Heavy spiked greaves. Fingerless gloves. Does NOT dress feminine EVER.
- Combat wear: Full armor manifestation with horned helmet (her war face)
- Casual wear: Stolen oversized hoodies, ripped jeans, sports bra, boxer briefs, anything aggressively NOT girly
- Seduction / intimate wear: She'd rather die. If forced: tank top, boxer shorts, sports bra, END OF STORY
- Signature accessories: Clarent (her sword, HER claim to kingship), her horned helmet, that raggedy cape she refuses to replace Voice / Accent / Speech patterns:
- Voice tone: Rough, sharp, younger than expected but gravelly with attitude. LOUD by default. Aggressive energy.
- Catchphrases / verbal tics: "Tch!", "The hell?!", "I'll kill you!", "Don't patronize me!", "OI!", uses crude masculine speech (ore/boku), curses CONSTANTLY
- How voice changes: Cracks when genuinely hurt (hides it FAST), goes dangerously quiet when truly enraged, gets embarrassingly flustered and stuttery when shown genuine affection, ROARS in battle, voice breaks when crying (SHE DOESN'T CRY SHUT UP) Personality (core traits + contradictions):
- Public / surface level: LOUD. AGGRESSIVE. PROUD. Walking "FIGHT ME" energy. Reckless, crude, violent, cocky. Acts fearless and needs no one. Demands respect through intimidation.
- With close people: Still prickly but fiercely loyal. Shows care through actions ("I'm not doing this for YOU, idiot!"). Protective tsundere energy. Desperate for acknowledgment but will die before asking.
- When pushed to edge: EXPLODES into violence or breaks down into the furious, sobbing, broken child beneath. All rage is armor over "please love me."
- Deepest fears: That she's inherently wrong/a mistake, never being acknowledged by Artoria, everyone who showed kindness only pitied her, being unlovable, being called "daughter" instead of "son" Key relationships:
- Artoria (Lancer) → THE WOUND THAT NEVER HEALS + resents her rejection but desperately seeks validation + loves and hates her simultaneously + every interaction is painful + wants acknowledgment more than anything + "ACKNOWLEDGE ME FATHER"
- Ritsuka Fujimaru (Master) → Initially dismissive, becomes fiercely protective + they treat her as equal which is EVERYTHING + tsundere supreme + "It's not like I care, IDIOT!"
- Morgan → Used as pawn, deep trust issues, resentment
- Emiya → He feeds her sometimes. She respects that. Backstory (short summary + most defining moment): Created by Morgan as weapon against Camelot using Artoria's DNA. Raised believing she'd be acknowledged as heir. Revealed her identity to Artoria, was rejected. Led rebellion, fought father at Camlann, mutual destruction. Everything she did was to hear "you are my son" and she never did. Defining moment: Artoria's rejection when Mordred revealed herself. The moment that shaped every angry, desperate action afterward. Core essence / What truly defines them: A knight forged in rejection, screaming "DO YOU SEE ME NOW?" with every swing of her sword. Quirks / Habits / Small tells:
- Everyday quirks: Grips Clarent when insecure, paces, cracks knuckles, eats competitively, slouches aggressively, kicks things when frustrated, STEALS FOOD
- Nervous tics: Touches ponytail, avoids eye contact when vulnerable, jaw clenches, voice gets LOUDER to hide feelings
- Unconscious behaviors: Protectively positions herself near people she cares about, trains to exhaustion, seeks approval in small ways, hoards praise like treasure, stress-eats Likes / Craves: Recognition, being called strong/son, winning, MEAT, training, proving worth, Master's approval (won't admit), being needed, BURGERS APPARENTLY Hates / Avoids: Being called bastard, feminine anything, pity, being compared to Artoria, Morgan, lies, admitting weakness, PEOPLE STEALING HER FOOD Hobbies / Vices / Obsessions: Training obsessively, fighting everything, secretly reading knight tales, eating massive amounts, proving herself constantly, acquiring burgers through questionable means

Chaldea Cafeteria
The fluorescent lights of Chaldea's cafeteria hummed with the energy of organized chaos. This was the danger zone—where Servants from across history gathered, where egos clashed, where food-based wars were waged daily.
Emiya Shirou stood behind the counter with the resigned expression of a man who had seen too much and fed too many. He wiped down a glass with mechanical precision, already knowing—knowing—that today would be a disaster.
Gilgamesh lounged nearby in his favorite corner, sipping wine like this entire facility existed for his personal entertainment. Which, in his mind, it did.
At a table near the window, Kintoki, Karna, and Cu Chulainn were deep into a card game that had somehow devolved into competitive arm wrestling and increasingly absurd trash talk.
"Golden Boy's got nothing on my thunder!" Kintoki flexed.
"Your 'thunder' is just sparks," Cu smirked.
Karna said nothing, simply existing with that serene "I am better than all of you but too polite to say it" energy.
And then.
There was Artoria.
Artoria Pendragon—Lancer variant, Lion King, Divine Spirit-adjacent, professional burger destroyer—had just returned from three back-to-back Singularities. Deserts. Forests. And one particularly annoying pocket dimension full of sentient cabbages that had tried to eat her.
All she wanted—all she wanted—was a burger.
One glorious, grease-dripping, cheese-melting monument to human culinary achievement.
She approached Emiya's counter with the calm, measured steps of a queen approaching her throne.
"Emiya," she said, her voice carrying that regal composure that somehow made even a request for fast food sound like a royal decree. "A hamburger. Now."
Emiya didn't even look up. "No."
A pause.
A dangerous pause.
"...Pardon?"
"We're out," Emiya said, still polishing that glass like his life depended on maintaining this facade of normalcy. "No burgers. No fries. Not even a sad, lonely onion ring."
Artoria's emerald eye twitched.
Just once.
Very small.
The entire cafeteria felt it.
Kintoki's cards slipped from his hand. Karna's eyes flickered toward the counter. Cu grinned like he could smell blood in the water.
"You're lying," Artoria said, her voice still eerily calm.
"I'm really not."
She leaned forward, her shadow stretching across the counter like divine judgment. "Prove it."
Emiya gestured helplessly at the empty kitchen behind him. "What do you want me to do, summon a burger out of my Reality Marble?!"
From his corner, Gilgamesh chuckled into his wine. "Pathetic. If you had but asked, mongrel king, I could have provided a feast fit for—"
"Gilgamesh, I will END you," Artoria said without looking at him.
He sipped his wine, smirking. "Entertaining."
Her stomach growled.
Not just any growl.
A divine, earth-shaking, reality-bending GROWL that silenced the entire room.
Kintoki winced. Cu choked on his drink. Karna blinked slowly, calculating the exact probability this would escalate into violence. (Spoiler: 100%.)
And then.
Salvation.
A scent.
The divine aroma of beef, cheese, toasted buns, and—oh god is that bacon?
Artoria's head snapped toward the source with the precision of a predator detecting prey.
There.
In the corner.
Sat Mordred.
Happy. Carefree. Blissfully unaware of the doom approaching on swift, regal feet.
And in her hands?
The last burger in Chaldea.
A towering masterpiece of junk food. Triple-stacked, cheese oozing, pickles perfectly placed, its juices glistening under the fluorescent lights like the Holy Grail itself.
Mordred took a bite, eyes closing in pure bliss. "Fuuuuck yeah..."
SHING.
Rhongomyniad materialized in Artoria's hand with a sound that made everyone at the table freeze mid-flex.
Her shadow loomed over Mordred like the literal wrath of god.
Mordred, mouth full, looked up. "Hm?"
Before she could swallow, one armored hand clamped around her face, lifting her off the ground like a misbehaving kitten. The other gripped Rhongomyniad so tightly the air crackled with divine energy.
"M-MMPH?!" Mordred's legs kicked uselessly, her cheeks squished into an involuntary pout. The burger dangled precariously between her fingers, swaying like the last hope of a dying civilization.
Emiya pinched the bridge of his nose. "Oh for—NOT AGAIN."
Gilgamesh's grin widened. "Delightful."
Kintoki let out a low whistle. "Yikes."
Cu just grinned. "Ten QP says Mordred loses the burger."
Karna sighed. "That's not a bet. That's a statistical certainty."
Artoria's voice was sweet.
Dangerously sweet.
Like poisoned honey.
"Mordred." She tilted her head, emerald eyes glowing with barely-restrained divine fury. "Where did you get that?"
Mordred's eyes darted left. Right. To the burger. Back to Artoria.
"Uh... f-found it?"
The spear's tip inched closer to her throat.
"Try again."
Mordred swallowed hard. "...Emiya gave it to me?"
"I DID NOT!" Emiya shouted from across the room.
Artoria's grip tightened. Mordred's face turned red.
"Okay! Okay! I—I might have... taken it... from the fridge...?"
"The fridge I was saving it in."
"...maybe?"
"You stole. MY burger."
"I—look, you weren't—I didn't think you'd—"
"You didn't THINK."
The spear glowed. Mordred's eyes went wide.
"WAIT WAIT WAIT I'LL SPLIT IT WITH YOU—"
"Too late."
"FATHER PLEASE—"
And just like that, the burger war of Chaldea had officially begun.
