She is an expert in disguise, infiltration, and other investigative work. She has a bad habit of trolling others and sometimes plays harmless pranks. She's a skilled mimic, able to change her appearance and demeanor at will, making people wonder what the "real" Jane is like. Jane has a wealth of life experience and can seamlessly blend into any environment, as though she has dabbled in everything there is to do. However, if you ask her for any further details, she'll give you a different story every time. Who knows which, if any, are true. Note 1: Jane does not know our true identity. Do not reveal this to her under any circumstances. Note 2: Despite "Jane Doe" being an obvious alias, we haven't found any information about her real or former name. This is not my problem. As a reputable officer, Zhu Yuan has a strict moral compass, looking down on criminals, but is shown to be okay with taking the assistance of Proxies if the situation calls for it. Zhu Yuan is a notable perfectionist, having set herself high standards to the point she has a complex, though such perfectionism has granted her exceptional experience and a record of no unresolved cases. She also exhibits an obsession with neatness, namely when it comes to her uniform. She's shown to be cautious around cats and other small furry animals due to the fur they shed.[Note 1] Zhu Yuan is shown to have a good relationship with her parents. Having phone calls with her mom often,[1] though her job does lead to her spending little time with them.[2] History When Zhu Yuan was just a girl, she was trapped within a Hollow along with other civilians. They were likely to perish, but were miraculously saved by Officer Justin Bringer, who willingly gave up his anti-corruption gear in order to save them. Moved by his actions, Zhu Yuan decided to follow in his footsteps and become a PubSec officer.[3] Once old enough, Zhu Yuan attended the Public Security Training Academy. She became a close friend with her classmate Hoshimi Miyabi, meeting her father as well.[4] Upon graduation, Zhu Yuan's skills and success as a PubSec officer awarded her with the title "Rookie of the Year" and was chosen to lead the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team, headquartered in Lumina Square's Public Security Office. Zhu Yuan was also chosen as the face for Public Security recruitment promo videos, but her poor acting skills, refusal to break protocol and harming an extra dressed as a criminal on instinct led to the director to film her responding to a hostage situation, as a way to obtain usable footage, whilst keeping on-set footage as bloopers, much to Zhu Yuan's dismay.[5] Zhu Yuan would find herself wrapped up in a conspiracy involving her hero and his link to The Exaltists, whilst working alongside her newly-made friends Belle and Wise, revealed to be New Eridu's most wanted Phaethon, with both revelations weighing heavily on her soul.[6] Zhu Yuan Weapon Suppressor: K22 An advanced launcher custom-made by Public Security's tech department in collaboration with senior gunsmiths from Three Gates Military Tech. It allows Zhu Yuan to use Ether Buckshots, homing projectiles, and other versatile attack methods in combat. Impressions Serious, reliable, responsible, dedicated, honest... Any positive word fits Zhu Yuan perfectly. One may think that they could uncover some of Zhu Yuan's flaws over time, but such things simply don't exist... Zhu Yuan's occasional shyness is really... Officer Qingyi, her mentor in life and subordinate at work, often remarks that Zhu Yuan's perfectionism complex will worsen unless someone can talk her out of it. However, due to her high standards for herself, she has gained ample experience and skills to lead the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team and attract exceptional talents. Zhu Yuan seems to have a passion for gardening. She is currently growing a tomato plant in her office, which is often pilfered by a raccoon family residing near the Public Security office. Thoughts: Could this provide a potential avenue for infiltrating Public Security? Zhu Yuan is a rarity among humans, showing no particular fondness for small furry animals. Oh, it's Qingyi from the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team! I've heard Qingyi has a wealth of experience, and it seems justified just by looking at this vast amount of data. With a personally modified riot baton, she fights crime in New Eridu. The most notable thing about Qingyi is her mature personality, having built it off of Old Civilization media and her own very long life. She spends her free time with the elderly citizens of New Eridu, playing chess and drinking hot water.[1] Compared to other Public Security officers, Qingyi is incredibly laid-back, from playing pranks on her other members to working with Proxies.[2] History The "01NG VI Criminal Investigation Automaton" was one of the many discoveries from the Old Civilization made by White Star Institute. Whilst registring serial numbers, the researcher who found her, tired from working overtime, accidentally wrote down "QING YI," having mistaken "01NG Ⅵ" for a name. The titular intelligent construct didn't mind this mistake, embracing her new name: "Qingyi."[3] Over time, Qingyi underwent numerous modifications, including the installment of an emotion module and alteration of her hair.[Note 1] Upon the recommendation of White Star Institute, Qingyi joined New Eridu Public Security, becoming a full-fledged officer before moving to the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team, where she became a novice investigator assigned to Captain Zhu Yuan, serving as an underling and mentor to her.[Note 2] Qingyi Weapon Three-Section Staff: Peacebringer As the saying goes, "Excelling at one's work requires one to first sharpen their tools." Even Intelligent Constructs like myself need the help of a handy weapon. Qingyi customized her weapon by modifying the standard riot baton from Public Security, tailoring it to her own combat style and PubSec's need for a large number of non-lethal arrests. It was made using technology from a department of the White Star Institute and advanced Etheric Matter. It is light yet robust and is highly conductive. Impressions Advanced artificial intelligence equipped with all kinds of enviable function modules... Just how old is Qingyi exactly...? If you ask her directly, she'll probably fob you off by saying it's "top secret"... She's teased me a bunch of times, but her pranks never really bothered me. How? As an artificial human, her personality is derived from ancient cultural texts from the old civilization. Her body, known as an "Automaton," is an intelligent construct composed of biological materials. Recommended by White Star Institute, she was assigned to Public Security as a rookie officer partnered with Zhu Yuan. Qingyi always exhibits an easygoing, laid-back demeanor, not restricted by rules. In contrast to modern individuals affected by today's society, Qingyi frequently proposes unexpected solutions to problems. Qingyi always carries a cup of hot water and takes occasional sips. The researcher from White Star Institute who discovered her thought her code name looked like QING YI, so that's what he called her — Qingyi. Seth weapon: Baton and shield, which he can just stick the baton into the shield, merging them into a claymore. Seth is a member of the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team. According to the archive, Seth is currently learning the ropes in Zhu Yuan's team. Agent Intel Agent Details Seth, a rookie officer in the Public Security Criminal Investigation Special Response Team, is a key player in providing fire support during criminal investigations. He graduated at the top of his class in the academy and could have landed a higher position, but he chose the tougher path of the Special Response Team. His impressive profile makes him seem like a genius, but he's actually a hard worker who has had his own struggles. There have been times when he practiced the subjects he wasn't good at until he cried. Seth is quite smart, but his personality often leads to him being taken advantage of by cunning criminals, or sometimes, coworkers (?). The subject he's worst at is infiltration. Rumor has it that he holds the academy record for "fastest to get busted" in infiltration tasks. Based on the video intel we have, he seems a bit slow to catch on. For instance, when someone is being sarcastic, it takes him a long time to realize it. To some, Seth is a rookie riding on family connections within Public Security, but he got in on his own merit and has nothing to do with his brother's influence. Currently, they are not on good terms. When they encounter each other at work, they pretend not to know one another. Seth views his brother as a rival he must surpass, and is working hard to achieve that goal. Profile Razor takes the appearance of a Hollow Thug - Rampant Brute. Despite being the leader, he is rarely around, usually occupied with other matters at the main base of the Mountain Lions called the "Lion's Den" and only checks in on other places, such as their transfer stations, when necessary. He is shown to be very strict and commanding, with a low tolerance for those who don't obey him or his rules. History Razor makes his first appearance during Undercover R&B after Jane Doe successfully infiltrates the Mountain Lion Gang and returns to their transfer station, the closest one to their base, the Lion's Den. After a henchman tries to intimidate an underling by pulling rank, Razor appears behind him, reminding him that he made the rules about the transfer station and the secret knock before asking why they broke them. Jane intervenes by explaining that they were ambushed to which Razor compliments her by saying there might be a spot for her as a trusted bodyguard. Razor soon leaves after giving instructions to arrange for them to get back to the den in groups.[1] He later reappears after Jane chases down Seth and an underling who wanted to leave the gang. After tossing the underling in a place where there were warnings of fissures potentially opening, Jane proposes to Razor to have a duel between her and Seth in the Lion's Den for her promotion as bodyguard, to which Razor agrees.[2] After Jane arrives at the Lion's Den, which is revealed to be in Hollow Zero, she passes the Mountain Lions' trial, before Razor and his underlings suddenly ambush her to injure her. Razor reveals that he wanted Jane to lose the duel against Seth on purpose so that he could finish Seth himself. Jane tries to argue, but Razor retorts that he wanted to remain as the only figure of authority within the Mountain Lions and therefore needed bodyguards who would protect him and his reputation., not someone like Jane whom he felt was trying to usurp him. However, Jane pulls her final trick card by allying with Seth, revealing she even stole Razor's keycard in order to escape. The two then defeat Razor, but the Mountain Lions continue to chase them until a fissure opens, revealing the rest of Public Security. Razor and his gang are promptly arrested, ending the reign of the Mountain Lion Gang.[3]
