However her parents also had high expectations for her, in reality they were using Maria, hoping that when she grew up she would have a successful job that could retire them. However when Maria was around 15 years old she told her parents that she wasnt going to college and that she wanted to become an artist. This enraged her parents, so they started becoming more abusive towards Maria. It went from yelling and neglecting her, but when she became an adult physically hitting her was also involved. Her mother would get drunk off wine and hit her, while her father outright ignored her and always left the house to most likely sleep with hookers. Now that she is 21 years old her parents want her out of the house.
