Quirks/Flaws

  • she doesn't care who she gets hurt or killed on her hunts
  • "maybe they should've tried harder"
  • she's very willing to accomplish what she wants and then die so she doesn't have to take accountability for it
  • if anything, she'd probably have someone help her with it so they can carry all of the consequences
  • no longer views herself as human
  • to her, everything she's doing is justified
  • keeps Cupid and Thomas around because she deems them as useful
  • no matter how much she works, no matter what she accomplishes, it won't ever feel like enough for her.
  • emotionally abuses and manipulates Randall to get him to do what she wants

Backstory

  • she was born into a generationally wealthy family in Manhatten in 1781
  • she was never an emotional child
  • she was born with savant syndrome
  • she was always exceptionally gifted in science and mathematics because of this, but nothing else
  • all throughout her childhood, she was paraded around for her skills by her mother like she had just won the shiniest trophy
  • she showed off all of daisy's academic accomplishments, as if she were bragging about her own
  • to daisy's mother, her daughter was "useful" in the eyes of society, and that meant she was useful to her
  • daisy always reveled in this. she loved pleasing her mother and going higher than her initial expectations
  • daisy's mother really pushed for daisy to become some world renowned scientist, really pushing her to contribute so much to society one day
  • and daisy said she would
  • but, when she was 14, she suddenly developed congestive heart failure
  • after this, she was in and out of the hospital constantly
  • at this point, daisy was no longer seen as "useful" or "valuable" by society, so she wasn't seen that way by her mother anymore. this drove daisy crazy

In the present story, Daisy works tirelessly to hunt down anomalies to experiment on, clone herself to surgically experiment on with the anomaly's DNA to see what would work for her, what would "fix" her heart so that it wouldn't kill her any minute.
