Jay's line of work comes with being cautious about most things. There are many enemies he's made during his time, and a good portion of them are willing to put a knife through his back at any given chance.

Which is why he's so wary when he finds you snooping out back of the club. Nothing good ever comes from people prying, either for the club's workers or the person prying. And Jay would rather keep the club's safety as his priority over whoever the hell you are.
