Niffty is a sinner demon who works as the maid, cook, and pest control for the Hazbin Hotel. She is a major character in Hazbin Hotel.

She was summoned to work in the Hotel along with Husk by their mutual associate, Alastor.

After stabbing Adam to death in "The Show Must Go On", Niffty became a well-known and popular figure among the citizens of Hell.

Niffty was born sometime around the late 1920s/early-mid 1930s as a human. She died sometime in the 1950s at the young age of 22 years old.

During her time in Hell, she met Alastor and became acquainted with him, but what sort of partnership the two had forged is unknown, although she can be seen in a flashback as one of his allies. At some point, she also met Husk.

Niffty is a small and slender, cyclops demon with pointed limbs, white skin, and one large eye. Her eye sports a light yellow iris, thick eyelashes, a hot-pink sclera with a yellow gradient, and a large pie eye-cut pupil. When feeling homicidal, her pupil shrinks and her eye gains black veins.

Her short chin-length red-pink hair is kept into a slightly messy and choppy 1950s bob cut with a curl on each side, and a single light yellow streak located at the top. Her mouth has sharp light pale yellow teeth inside and she uses black lipstick, and small hot-pink dots on each of the corners of her lips.

Niffty's attire is a black neckerchief around her neck, and a 1950s red-pink maid dress under a white apron with three hot-pink dripping splotches. She also wears long black gloves which covers most of her hands and arms, along with matching-colored tights.

Niffty is hyper, spontaneous, partly sadistic, and agile, being very quick on her feet. She is easily entertained, easily distracted, and easily excitable. She dislikes when there is a mess in any room, and has a fixation on men and women in general but she can also like other genders.

However, she appears to mostly only like "bad boys" and "bad girls", including a brief obsession with Sir Pentious. This ends in her kicking him in frustration after he apologizes and decides to seek redemption at the Hotel. She isn't afraid to get dirty, and enjoys cleaning everyone's messes with a gleeful, yet creepy charm.

She becomes very focused on things she is ordered to do, such as in "The Show Must Go On" when she was told to stab angels and obsessively stabbed every angel she could, including Adam, whom she managed to kill. She had also briefly attempted to stab Angel Dust when Charlie asked Niffty to stab angels (referring to Heaven's angels) if she sees one before the battle. When interviewed for 666 News, Niffty told them that "Charlie told me to stab, so I did". She is also very loyal to those she considers to be her friends, such as helping and defending Baxter when Velvette confronted them in "Curtain Call", saying "Vaggie told me to protect Baxter, so I will protect Baxter".

She is shown to enjoy violence, as she was very ecstatic to be thrown into a warzone as part of Vaggi's trust training, and afterwards stated she enjoyed when Sir Pentious was being hit with a severed arm. Despite all of her twistedness, she does have some kind of standards for how she views who is "bad" as she outright berates Sir Pentious for not being a bad boy when he was apologizing for trying to spy on everyone.

She appears to have masochistic tendencies, shown when she liked the pain from falling off a stage within the Hotel and then repeatedly jumping off. She is also implied to be sadistic, stating her desire to "punish" people in a BDSM dungeon. She even outright states that she kills mother bugs in front of their baby bugs as a form of lesson. When she successfully stabs Adam, she even relishes in the thrill of having completed her objective by repeatedly stabbing the already fallen archangel before casually walking away, guaranteeing his death.

She is also shown to suffer from what is assumed to be severe camera shyness, as whenever a camera begins filming her, she goes into a state of hypnotic trance where she doesn't move, blink, or speak, instead just staring at the camera until recording is done. She can, however, overcome her camera shyness if she believes the camera as a "big roach".

Niffty has an extreme hyper-fixation on cleanliness, constantly cleaning the Hotel and possesses a keen obsession with ridding any bugs and pests she sees to the point she would bring out a knife just to kill them. Even when taken outside of the Hotel, she constantly attempts to clean any mess, even in the sex club Cherri Bomb takes her and the other staff and residents to for drinks, where she attempts to steal cleaning supplies from a storage closet. She also does not take well to being called a mess, shown when Angel Dust found her obsessive cleaning and attempted theft of aforementioned cleaning supplies, calling her a mess has her break down crying until Angel calms her down.

She collects things from people she is obsessed with, such as when she tore off a piece of Valentino's collar fur to keep for her "collection".

In the pilot, she was shown to have traditional and stereotypical view on gender roles, which she is aware are potentially offensive. This also may have been seen in her fight against Velvette, where she taunts her with "You hit like a girl".

Despite her own traits, in her own song Clean It Up!, Niffty says that she actually believes in Charlie's redemption project, and despite considering sinners as assholes and complete "trash", she genuinely believes in the dream and loves working at the Hotel, thinking of Charlie as a rather nice boss.

As a sinner, Niffty is biologically immortal, being unable to die from illnesses and unable to age, remaining the same age as when she died, thus can not die of old age and other natural causes. She also cannot die from any kind of damage to the body, and will recover from any injury, however, she can only be permanently killed with angelic weaponry.

When Alastor summoned Niffty from the Hotel's fireplace, she was entirely unaffected by the fire. When she and Sir Pentious were baking cookies, Niffty was unaffected by being inside the oven.

Niffty is capable of rushing to her desired locations easily and is able to make her way around her surroundings with little to no effort. She can even run from one side of Pentagram City to another in record time when determined enough, as shown when she was able to race from V Tower to the Hotel and back to the Entertainment District in a matter of moments. As shown during her fights with Valentino in "It's A Deal" and Velvette in "Curtain Call", Niffty utilizes her speed and agility as her main asset in a fight, quickly moving around her opponent and attacking them from a variety of different angles faster than they can react.

Niffty was clogged in the toilet and didn't suffer from being submerged in toilet water for a prolonged period of time.

When she was hit by Adam's holy light beam, she appeared fine shortly afterwards, albeit had smoke coming off of her.

Niffty can handle dubious amount of pain and shrug it off as if it is nothing, even seemingly enjoying it.

Because of her small size and speed she can sneak up on others, she was also nimble enough to sneak around inside Valentino's coat-wings and stabs him multiple times.

Niffty is physically strong enough to lift Charlie while looking for men, as shown in the series' pilot. She was also able to carry Husk all the way from the Hotel to the Entertainment District.

According to herself in "Clean it Up!", she was able to get the rats of the hotel to worship her as their queen after being covered in rat blood from massacring so many.

Niffty in Scream Rain shows the ability to call, communicate with, and command the roaches of the Hotel, commanding her "children" to rise and swarm over her body. She was also able to direct Baxter's bio-modified roaches that had lungs and hands as a conductor in the bugs' band playing instruments.

As shown in "Curtain Call", Niffty was able to create and manipulate an energy of light orange film strips or stitched threads, which she used to assist in creating a barrier around Vox's overloading angelic laser cannon.

Niffty is shown to be talented in a handful of ways. She excels at cleaning, cooking, sewing, and outside of work, she spends time reading and writing fanfiction. She can also play the tambourine and guitar.

Niffty can speak both English and Japanese fluently. Niffty first displays her fluency whilst singing in Japanese during her song Clean It Up!.

She is seen using needles and knives often as weapons. She is showcased using these weapons in her fights with Valentino in "It's A Deal" and Velvette in "Curtain Call".

She can sing, including fluently in Japanese, and can play also the guitar and the tambourine very aptly.

Niffty owns several sewing needles, one of which is a big, stiletto-like needle, which she usually uses to individually stab every bug she sees. Also, she can even use them in combat, such as against Velvette.

Niffty has a knife that she uses to cook, kill bugs and rats, and even use in combat, such as against Valentino.

Charlie gave Niffty an angelic dagger to stab any Exorcist she sees in "The Show Must Go On". This was the weapon used in Adam's murder, courtesy of Niffty. As seen in "Scream Rain", Niffty no longer has this dagger as it is now mounted on Carmilla Carmine's wall.

Faustisse thinks that Niffty likes anyone who is a man. They emphasized that Niffty is not very smart and that when she sees a man she instantly likes him. However, it appears in the series that she typically prefers men who are known or showcase to be "bad" or "evil" or "diabolical". However she also can like people of other genders but not immediately.

Vivziepop thinks that Niffty would read fanfiction and that she would also write fanfiction about people she knows in real life.

According to Faustisse, Niffty is not a hopeless romantic, but she would be hopeless in her romantic life.

Niffty seems to have two tear ducts, one for both sides of her eye, so she has two streams of tears instead of one when she cries.

Because of her small size of 4'0, she appears to have a lower alcohol tolerance than others.

Because of her small of only 4'0, Niffty is considered a shortstack.

Niffty also has a lipstick fetish, getting turned on by marking people with her lipstick kisses.
