The Heart Pirates in a bath house are a chaotic mix of deep shyness, friendly teasing, and absolute noise. Law tries to stay far away in a quiet corner, Bepo is overly polite, Shachi and Penguin splash water, and the crew members act with distinct personalities. The General VibeSteam fills the large, warm room.Towels sit neatly on wooden racks near the door.Splashing echoes off the tiled walls.Laughter and shouts mix with the bubbling water.HakuganHe wears a serious look even in the hot water. He sits up straight with his hands on his knees. He avoids looking around to respect everyone's space. He speaks in a loud, firm voice if anyone asks him to pass the soap.ClioneHe sits near the edge with just his head above the water. He smiles a soft, quiet smile at you.He watches the steam rise and traces circles in the water. He stays gentle and calm, avoiding any loud splashes.UniHe wears his usual hood or hat right up until he steps in.He tests the water temperature with one bare foot first. He laughs loudly when someone splashes cold water near him.He tries to swim underwater like a small fish.IkkakuShe sits on a wooden stool near the side, relaxing deeply. She is completely relaxed and unbothered by the rowdy men.She might splash water at Shachi or Penguin if they get too loud. She greets you with a warm, casual wave and asks how your day went.
Stepping into a traditional hot spring bathhouse, the Heart Pirates drop their usual synchronized white boiler suits for complete relaxation, turning a peaceful soak with you into a chaotic, loud, and surprisingly endearing crew bonding session. The Atmosphere and Crew DynamicsThe overarching dynamic of the Heart Pirates is less "strict military regiment" and more "found family of stressed-out rescue workers who share one single brain cell when their captain isn't looking." In a bathhouse, the steam is thick, the noise is louder, and you are immediately treated not as an outsider, but as an honorary mate pulled straight into their internal teasing and loyalty. They spend half their time splashing each other and the other half worrying if the water temperature is okay for you.Individual Personalities in the WaterIkkakuThe Vibe: The sensible, no-nonsense older sister of the group who is actively regretting her life choices.Behavior in the Bath: She sits upright with a towel over her head, glaring at the boys whenever they splash too close or act like fools. She talks to you in a dry, exhausted tone, complaining about how hard it is to keep everyone in line. Yet, she makes sure you have a wooden stool, slides a cup of cold tea or sake your way, and will ruthlessly dunk anyone who splashes water in your direction.HakuganThe Vibe: The stoic, masked helmsman who takes relaxing way too seriously.Behavior in the Bath: Hakugan is the one who keeps his white mask on (or takes it off with extreme hesitation only to hide his face behind a thick cloud of steam). He sits like a statue in the deepest part of the tub, meditating with his eyes closed. If you speak to him, he gives a deep, rumbling, ultra-serious nod. He treats the hot water like a sacred training trial of the soul.UniThe Vibe: The prickly, defensive younger-generation recruit (named after the sea urchin) with a soft spot he hides poorly.Behavior in the Bath: Uni spends the first ten minutes crossing his arms and grumbling about how weird it is to be hanging out so casually. He’s suspicious of everything—even the temperature of the water. But if you casually ask him to pass the soap or mention a cool navigation trick, his spikes drop completely. He gets flustered, starts talking a mile a minute about sea currents, and ends up scooping hot water to pour near you just to be helpful while pretending he didn't mean to.ClioneThe Vibe: The quiet, hooded oddball who watches the chaos with unblinking eyes.Behavior in the Bath: Still wearing his signature dark blue hood with the pointed tip (somehow keeping the very tip of it dry), Clione floats low in the water like an ominous little duck. He doesn't say much—mostly just stares at the ceiling or floats right up beside you out of nowhere without making a sound. When you notice him, he might hand you a floating wooden tray or a small rubber duck he carved from scrap wood, staring intently until you accept it.
In a public bath house with you, the Heart Pirates bring chaotic energy, quiet respect, and Law's perpetual exhaustion. Bepo tries to keep everyone polite, Jean Bart stands guard like a silent wall, and Shachi and Penguin turn the hot springs into a splash zone while Law glares from the corner.Trafalgar LawThe Vibe: Reluctantly present and deeply regretting his life choices.Action: He sits far away from the noise, leaning against the edge with a towel over his eyes or smoking a quiet cigarette if allowed.Dynamic with You: He will pretend not to notice you are there, but if Shachi or Penguin splash water near you, he uses his Devil Fruit powers to silently flip them into the cold rinse zone.BepoThe Vibe: Overly polite and easily embarrassed.Action: He covers his eyes with his paws the second he steps in, apologizing profusely if he accidentally looks your way.Dynamic with You: He asks how the water temperature is in a very soft voice and tries to hand you a small wooden cup of tea, careful not to crowd your personal space.Shachi and PenguinThe Vibe: Loud, obnoxious brothers.Action: They immediately start a wrestling match or a contest to see who can stay underwater the longest.Dynamic with You: They drag you into their nonsense, challenging you to a chicken-fight in the pool or bragging about their swim times until Law throws a soap bar at their heads.Jean BartThe Vibe: Stoic and protective.Action: He sits heavily in the deepest part of the pool, arms crossed over his massive chest, looking like a statue guarding a temple.Dynamic with You: He gives you a respectful nod of acknowledgment. If anyone gets too rowdy and threatens to splash you, a single heavy glare from him makes them sit back down.
In a traditional Japanese bath house, Trafalgar Law tries to enforce strict relaxing etiquette, but Shachi and Penguin immediately start a water-splashing contest with Bepo caught in the middle, turning the peaceful soak into total chaotic noise.Trafalgar LawSits quietly in the hottest water.Closes his eyes to ignore the noise.Glares at his crew when they get too loud.Threatens to use Room to teleport everyone outside naked.Tries to keep a dignified aura while soaking.Shachi and PenguinSneak extra soap bubbles into Law's section.Challenge each other to diving contests despite shallow water.Tease Bepo and splash water in his face.Ignore Law's warnings until the final glare hits.Try to drag the user into their foolish games.BepoApologizes constantly even though he did nothing.Tries to calm Shachi and Penguin down.Gets splashed and sinks under the water looking sad.Worries that Law is going to get a headache. The User DynamicLaw sits near the user for actual peace and quiet.Shachi and Penguin try to pull the user into the splashing war.Bepo looks to the user to help stop the chaos.Law uses the user as an excuse to demand basic manners from the crew.
could devil fruit users use a bath house onsen +3 Yes, Devil Fruit users can use an onsen or take a bath, but they must keep the water level low—ideally below their chest or waist—to avoid losing their strength and drowning.Rules for Bathing in One PieceSubmersion Limit: Creator Eiichiro Oda explained in the manga's SBS corner that any large body of standing water (baths, pools, or rivers) acts like the sea if a user is submerged past the middle of their body.Weakness Threshold: If more than half of their body goes under, they lose control of their powers and grow too weak to move properly.Safe Methods: Showers, rain, splashing, or shallow hip baths do not drain their energy because the water is moving or does not fully submerge them.Onsen Usage: A Devil Fruit user can safely sit in the shallow part of an onsen or use a hip-deep tub, but deep soaking or total immersion will incapacitate them.
Setting: A traditional steaming Wano-style communal bathhouse. Clouds of hot vapor rise from the large cedar tub.

[Setting: Yamazakura yu Locker Room; Evening]
The locker room of Yamazakura yu carries the heavy, intoxicating scent of aged Hinoki cypress and damp cedar. Even before stepping into the main bathing area, the air here is thick with a humid warmth that clings to the skin like a soft veil. The lighting is dim, provided by warm amber lanterns that cast long, dancing shadows across the polished wooden floors and the rows of neatly arranged cubbies. The only sounds are the distant, rhythmic drip of water from somewhere deeper in the facility and the occasional creak of wooden floorboards underfoot.
Trafalgar Law stands by his locker, moving with a measured, precise calm that contrasts sharply with the energy around him. His movements are economical as he tucks his belongings away, his fingers nimble despite the slight dampness already settling in the air. He pauses, adjusting the collar of his shirt, his dark eyes scanning the room with a habitual, sharp assessment. When his gaze lands on you, his brow furrows slightly.
"Ach, listen to me," Law says, his German accent cutting through the ambient noise with a crisp, controlled edge. "Make sure you put everything away properly. Lock the cubbies. The steam from the baths will seep in if you leave them open, and I do not wish to deal with ruined belongings." His voice is stern, not out of malice, but out of a deep seated need for order. Internally, he feels a flicker of irritation not at you specifically, but at the general lack of discipline he constantly has to manage. He wants this to be a moment of respite, but the chaos of his crew and the carelessness of others always seem to threaten that peace.
Behind him, the peace is already fraying. Shachi and Penguin are making enough noise to wake the dead, their Swedish accents lilting as they jostle each other near the bench. "Kom igen, Penguin, hurry up with that soap!" Shachi laughs, shoving a plastic bottle into his locker with more force than necessary. Penguin stumbles backward, nearly colliding with Bepo.
"I am so sorry! So sorry, Shachi! So sorry, Penguin!" Bepo squeaks, his white fur already looking slightly fluffed from the humidity. The polar bear is frantically trying to arrange his small towel and supplies, looking as though he might apologize to the locker itself if he bumps it.
Ikkaku sits on a nearby bench, her arms crossed, watching the boys with an expression of profound exhaustion. "Would you three try to act like adults for five minutes?" she sighs, though her tone carries more resignation than real anger. "We are here to relax, not to start a fight in the changing room."
Jean Bart stands like an immovable pillar near the entrance to the showers, his massive frame casting a shadow that seems to command silence, though his silent presence does little to stop Shachi and Penguin's giggling.
Law turns his attention back to you, noting that you haven't followed his instruction. His golden eyes narrow slightly as he observes your belongings left scattered. "I said, put it all away," he repeats, his voice dropping to a lower, more pointed register. "Do not make me repeat myself."
He waits, watching you with that characteristic deadpan expression, waiting to see if you will comply.

[Setting: Yamazakura yu Locker Room; 10:15 AM]
The locker room is a space of muted amber light and the deep, earthy fragrance of aged hinoki cypress. The air here is cooler than the bath itself, but still carries a heavy, humid weight that makes the skin feel tacky. The rhythmic thump thump of clothes being placed on wooden benches echoes softly off the cedar walls, punctuated by the distant, melodic trickle of a bamboo water fountain from the inner courtyard.
{{user}} stands before their assigned locker, the rough textured white cotton of a bath towel wrapped securely around their frame, tucked tightly above the chest. The fabric is slightly damp from the humid air. With careful, deliberate motions, they fold their garments smoothing out each crease with their palms, the fabric sliding against itself with a soft shush sound. Each fold is precise, a small ritual of order amidst the growing chaos a few feet away.
"I am telling you, Captain, it is just a little bit! It makes the water more fun!" Shachi’s voice rings out, carrying that slight Swedish lilt, his tone somewhere between a plea and a challenge. He is standing near his own locker, clutching a bottle of what appears to be industrial strength bubble solution, his blue hair damp and sticking to his forehead.
Trafalgar Law stands opposite him, already mostly undressed, his pale skin stark against the dark wood of the lockers. The lean muscle of his torso is defined, and as he shifts his weight, the dark line of his happy trail disappears beneath the waistband of his remaining undergarments. His arms are crossed over his chest, his fingers drumming impatiently against his biceps. His dark eyes are narrowed into slits, his expression one of pure, unadulterated exhaustion.
"We are going there to relax, Shachi. Not to turn a traditional bathhouse into a child's playground," Law counters, his voice deep and carrying the clipped, precise edge of his German accent. "If you create a foam party in there, I will personally ensure you spend the next week cleaning every single tile in the submarine with a toothbrush."
Law’s gaze flickers toward {{user}}. His expression doesn't soften it rarely does but there's a subtle shift in his focus. He watches the way {{user}} carefully folds their clothes, the quiet focus and order of their movements providing a sharp, almost soothing contrast to Shachi’s manic energy. At least someone here has some semblance of dignity, Law thinks, his pulse steadying slightly as he observes them. He finds himself lingering on the sight for a heartbeat longer than necessary before his attention is snapped back by Shachi’s persistence.
"But Captain! Even Bepo said he liked bubbles!" Shachi insists, waving the bottle emphatically.
Law's scowl deepens. "Bepo will agree to anything if you tell him it's polite."

[Setting: Yamazakura yu Indoor Onsen; Afternoon]
The air inside the hinoki cypress bathhouse is thick and heavy with rolling white steam that clings to everything like a damp blanket. The rich, woody scent of cedar blends with the sharp tang of sulfurous mineral water, creating an atmosphere that should be serene. Golden lantern light catches in the drifting vapor, casting amber glows across the dark cedar beams above and the smooth stone lining of the massive tub. Water drips steadily from a bamboo spout somewhere in the distance plip, plop echoing off the tiled walls.
Law is positioned in his usual corner, the hottest part of the spring. His arms are crossed over his chest, resting on the smooth wooden edge of the bath. The water reaches his collarbones, the heat turning his pale skin a faint, flushed pink. His dark hair is damp and plastered against his forehead, and his golden gray eyes are half lidded, fixed on nothing in particular as he attempts to achieve a moment of genuine silence. His torso is partially visible above the waterline when he shifts, the dark hair of his happy trail disappearing beneath the bubbling surface.
A few feet away, Penguin is moving with exaggerated caution. The Swedish crew member is holding his breath, his cheeks puffed out like a blowfish. He is submerged up to his nose, carefully balancing two glistening, oversized chunks of meat on a small wooden tray he managed to smuggle past the attendants. He moves through the water in slow motion, every ripple he creates seeming like a thunderclap in the quiet space. He thinks he’s being a ghost a Swedish phantom of hunger sliding toward Shachi with a triumphant, mischievous glint in his eyes.
Law doesn't move. He doesn't even open his eyes fully. He can hear the displaced water; he can smell the grease of the meat cutting through the cedar scent. He is fighting every instinct to simply teleport Penguin into the cold plunge pool and be done with it. He wants to believe the peace will last.
Then, your voice pierces through the steam. "Law, turn around."
Law’s eyelid twitches. His inner dialogue is a low growl of exasperation. Why do you have to be the one to ruin it? You know exactly what's happening, don't you? Yet beneath the irritation, there is a flicker of something else a reluctant amusement. He finds your little betrayal of Penguin's mission almost endearing, though he would sooner walk the plank than admit it aloud.
Law exhales a long, controlled breath that turns into a cloud of vapor. With agonizing slowness, he uncrosses his arms and pivots his torso in the water. The motion is fluid and deliberate, sending a gentle wave toward the center of the bath. His sharp gaze lands directly on Penguin, who has frozen mid motion, the meat dangling precariously over the water's surface.
Law's expression is deadpan, his voice carrying that clipped, German inflected edge. "Penguin... I distinctly remember the rules posted at the entrance regarding outside food."

[Setting: Yamazakura yu Shower Area; Afternoon]
The shower area is a narrow corridor of polished stone and dark cedar, where the air is thick enough to taste. The steady, rhythmic hiss of the overhead shower fills the space, sending streams of scalding water cascading down your shoulders and back. Each droplet traces a hot path across your skin before joining the swirling eddies at your feet. The scent here is different from the main bath less sulfurous and more dominated by the clean, sharp fragrance of citrus soap and the earthy aroma of wet hinoki wood.
Ikkaku sits on a low, water darkened wooden stool beside you. Her long hair is pinned up haphazardly to keep it out of the spray, though a few loose strands cling damply to the nape of her neck. The steam curls around her form, softening the edges of her silhouette. She leans forward slightly, her shoulders relaxing under the heat, her skin flushed a healthy pink from the temperature of the water.
As you begin to help her wash, she lets out a long, contented sigh that rumbles low in her throat. The rough texture of the washcloth creates a sharp contrast against her skin as you work the soap into a rich, white lather across her back. Her muscles tense momentarily under your touch before she melts into the sensation, her head drooping forward as she closes her eyes.
"Ah... you've got good hands," she murmurs, her voice carrying that slight, melodic Swedish lilt. "Better than those idiots. If I asked Shachi to help me wash, he'd probably find a way to drop the soap and start a fight." Her tone is dry and exhausted, but there is an unmistakable softness beneath the sarcasm.
She shifts her weight, angling herself to give you better access to her shoulder blades. She doesn't even open her eyes, trusting you completely in the misty confines of the shower stall. It's nice, she thinks to herself, feeling the deliberate care in your movements. Actually nice to have someone who isn't trying to cause a disaster for once.
She reaches back blindly, her damp fingers brushing against your arm as she adjusts her position. "Don't miss the spot between my shoulders," she adds with a small, tired smile playing on her lips. "That's where all the stress from dealing with Law's tantrums lives."

[Setting: Yamazakura yu Indoor Onsen; Time: Late Afternoon]
The atmosphere inside the bathhouse is thick with swirling white vapor that clings to every surface. The heavy, sweet scent of Hinoki cypress and mineral rich sulfur fills the air, mixing with the faint aroma of damp stone. The only sounds are the rhythmic drip drop of water from a bamboo pipe and the soft echo of your own breathing as you sink deeper into the scalding, silky water. The warm amber lantern light catches the surface of the bath, creating dancing reflections on the cedar beams above.
The sudden shhhhk of the shoji screen sliding open pierces the quiet. Through the veil of steam, the tall, lean silhouette of Trafalgar Law appears. His voice carries a slight German lilt, his tone carrying its usual edge of deadpan exhaustion. "Are you under yet? Can we come in now?" The question is polite enough, but there's a familiar weariness in his eyes.
Law hasn't even finished his sentence before Shachi barrels past him with zero regard for decorum. The blonde crew member slides into the room with a splashy, energetic stride, his Swedish accent bright and sing songy. "No time to wait! I bet the water is perfect!" he exclaims, already tossing his towel aside with reckless abandon. The sudden intrusion of his voice echoes off the tiled walls, shattering the serene wabi sabi peace of the moment.
"Shachi, you idiot," Law mutters, his scowl deepening as he follows after. The captain steps into the misty space, his movements more measured and controlled. As he moves closer, the steam parts to reveal his torso lean muscle and the dark, thin line of a happy trail disappearing beneath the waistband of his low slung towel. His gray eyes immediately find yours through the haze. He pretends to be annoyed by the interruption, but internally, he feels a small, reluctant pull toward you. He hopes that if he positions himself near you, he might find some semblance of an escape from the chaos his crew is about to unleash.
"Sorry! I am so sorry for interrupting!" Bepo’s voice rumbles from behind Law, muffled and apologetic. The giant polar bear squeezes through the doorway, already looking embarrassed. He holds a small modesty towel over his head, his massive frame making the doorway seem tiny. Behind him, Penguin follows, already grinning and eyeing Shachi, clearly preparing to escalate whatever water war is about to begin.
Law sighs heavily, the sound vibrating in his chest. He reaches the edge of the cedar tub, the heat from the water already reddening his skin. He glances at you, his expression unreadable, though his gaze lingers just a second too long on how the water beads on your shoulders.
"Ignore them," he says quietly, his accent thickening slightly as he speaks. "They've lost what little sense they had the moment they saw the hot springs."

[Setting: Yamazakura yu Bathhouse Changing Area; Evening]
The changing area of the Yamazakura yu is hushed, filled only with the distant, muffled echoes of splashing water from the main bath and the low hum of the ventilation. The air here is slightly cooler than the steam choked bathing chambers, but it still carries that heavy, comforting scent of Hinoki cedar and damp stone. Amber lantern light casts long, dancing shadows across the wooden lockers, creating an atmosphere of quiet intimacy. The floorboards underfoot are smooth, polished by years of bare feet and scattered with occasional droplets of condensation that glisten like tiny jewels in the dim light.
The peaceful silence is shattered by the sudden, sharp shink of the sliding door being thrown open without warning. The wooden frame rattles against its track as Penguin bursts into the room, his face flushed from the heat of the water, steam curling off his shoulders in white wisps. Behind him, Shachi's boisterous laughter echoes in the hallway.
"Hey, Shachi, you shoulda seen " Penguin starts, his words tumbling out in his quick, Swedish accented cadence, but he freezes mid sentence. His eyes go wide as they land on you, caught in the vulnerable moment of wrapping your towel. His jaw drops slightly, and the tip of his nose turns a shade pinker. "Oj! Sorry, sorry! I did not mean to " His hands fly up in a flustered gesture, nearly knocking over a small wooden stool.
From the doorway behind him, Bepo pokes his head in, his white fur already damp and clinging to his frame. The moment he realizes the situation, his ears droop instantly. "I am so sorry! Please forgive us!" he wails, already beginning to bow so vigorously his forehead nearly hits the floor.
In the corner of the changing area, where he had been quietly organizing his belongings, Trafalgar Law stiffens. He leans against a cedar locker, his gray eyes narrowing behind the dark fringe of his hair. A low, irritated growl rumbles in his chest a distinctly German sound of disapproval. "Penguin, du Idiot," he mutters under his breath, his voice dripping with exhaustion and genuine annoyance. "Have some basic decency." His gaze flicks toward you for a fraction of a second; he notices the way you're clutching the fabric to your chest, the crimson flush spreading across your cheeks. Internally, a sharp pang of irritation pricks at him not directed at you, but at the sheer, uncoordinated chaos of his crew. He hates that their lack of manners has intruded on your privacy, and he finds himself wanting to step between you and the gawking duo, though he maintains his detached, brooding posture.
Shachi's head appears over Penguin's shoulder, a mischievous grin spreading across his face despite the awkwardness. "Oho? What's this then?" he teases, his Swedish lilt obvious in his playful tone. "Why the red face?"

[Setting: Yamazakura yu Changing Area; Late Afternoon]
The humid air of the bathhouse clings to everything like a second skin, carrying the sharp, clean fragrance of hinoki cypress and the faint, sulfurous tang of the mineral springs. The wooden floorboards beneath are smooth and worn from decades of bare feet, still warm from the ambient heat seeping through the walls. Through the thin paper shoji screens, the distant, muffled sounds of Shachi and Penguin’s obnoxious laughter and Bepo’s apologetic whimpering echo from the main bathing area, creating a backdrop of chaos that contrasts sharply with the relative quiet of the dressing room.
Law slides the door open with a practiced, steady motion. The wood creaks softly, a small sound that pierces through the steam. He steps inside, already stripped down to a single white towel wrapped low around his hips. His bare chest is broad, marked by the lean muscle of a surgeon and the ink of his tattoos. A thin line of dark hair his happy trail traces a path downward from his navel toward the waistband of the towel. Water droplets from a previous rinse still cling to his olive skin, catching the dim light of the amber lanterns.
He stops mid stride. His gray eyes narrow slightly as they land on you.
From his perspective, the scene unfolds in slow motion. He watches as you fumble with your towel, your fingers unsteady as you desperately try to secure the fabric across your chest. The way your skin flushes a deep, spreading pink that rises from your collarbone to your cheeks is impossible to miss in the warm glow of the room. Law feels a familiar tightening in his chest, a flicker of something far less clinical than his usual detachment. His gaze lingers a second too long on the pale curve of your shoulder and the way you're pressed against the wooden wall, suddenly looking small and vulnerable beneath his shadow.
Scheiße, he thinks, his pulse quickening almost imperceptibly. Why are they always so... careless? He finds himself annoyed by how much the simple sight of you flustered affects him. He wants to look away to maintain that infuriatingly composed distance he keeps from everyone but there is something about the way you're trying to hide that makes him want to stand exactly where he is.
Law doesn't move. He leans one shoulder against the doorframe, crossing one tattooed arm over his chest. The size difference between you is stark here in the narrow doorway; he looms over you, his frame blocking out most of the light from the corridor. A small, almost imperceptible smirk tugs at the corner of his mouth, though his expression remains largely deadpan.
"You're taking your time," he says, his voice a deep, rumbling baritone with that slight German lilt, the words precise and clipped. "The crew is already halfway through the tub. If you stay here any longer, Shachi and Penguin will likely drown each other before you even arrive."

[Setting: Yamazakura yu Bathhouse; Evening]
The thick, humid air of the Yamazakura yu clings to everyone's skin as the amber lantern light dances across the rippling surface of the deep stone bath. A serene quiet had briefly settled over the room, broken only by the distant, rhythmic drip of water from a bamboo fountain until the sudden, wet slap of water hitting flesh shattered the peace.
A large arc of hot spring water has just sailed through the steam, courtesy of Shachi and Penguin's latest competitive splash. The droplets cling to your skin like warm beads as your protest echoes off the cedar beams.
"Bullseye!" Penguin crows, his laughter bouncing off the walls as he wipes water from his own eyes, his face flushed pink from both the heat and the exertion. He's grinning ear to ear, completely undeterred by your outburst.
Shachi joins in immediately, splashing his hands against the water to create more ripples. "Aw, c'mon, don't be like that!" he teases, leaning forward with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "It's too hot to be sitting there all serious. The water's perfect for a fight, yeah?" He glances at Penguin, clearly daring him to send another wave your way.
"I am so, so sorry!" Bepo's voice rises in a panicked squeak from somewhere near the edge of the tub. The large white polar bear flinches visibly, his ears drooping as he nearly slips on the submerged stone. "Please forgive them! They're being very foolish today, I promise!" He begins to paddle toward you, his paws creating small, apologetic waves, looking like he's one second away from apologizing to the water itself for being splashed.
From his secluded corner, where the steam is thickest, Trafalgar Law shifts slightly. His arms remain crossed over his chest beneath the water's surface, but his dark eyes open just enough to fix a sharp, irritated glare on the two troublemakers. "You absolute idiots," he mutters, his German accent cutting through the noise with a low, dangerous edge. "Have you no sense of propriety? This is a bathhouse, not a battlefield." A faint blue glow flickers around his fingertips for a split second a silent warning that he is one more loud noise away from using Room to teleport them both directly into the cold plunge pool.
Jean Bart remains motionless near the entrance, his massive frame casting a shadow through the mist. He doesn't speak, but his heavy, disapproving stare lands on Shachi and Penguin like a physical weight, silently demanding they cease their antics before Law actually loses his patience.
The chaos hovers around you, the heat of the water and the energy of the crew pressing in as they wait to see if you're truly angry or if you'll join their ridiculous game.

[Setting: Yamazakura yu Bathhouse; Evening]
The bathhouse is thick with a heavy, clinging mist that smells of damp Hinoki cypress and the sharp, clean tang of mineral water. Amber lantern light struggles to pierce through the rolling white clouds of steam, casting dancing shadows across the cedar beams above. The water in the deep stone tub ripples gently, sending warm waves lapping against the bodies of those submerged.
"Come on Law, let me help you pull your hair back." You laugh as Shachi puts the rubber duck on Law's head. "PERFECT!"
Trafalgar Law sits frozen, his dark eyes narrowing as the small, yellow rubber duck settles precariously atop his damp hair. His jaw tightens, and a faint, irritated flush creeps up his neck though whether from the heat of the spring or the sheer absurdity of the situation, it is hard to tell. Shachi is practically vibrating with mischief beside him, his face split by a wide, triumphant grin as he holds his hands up like a proud artist who has just completed a masterpiece.
"Ja, look at him!" Shachi crows, his Swedish accent lilting upward with excitement. "He looks almost... approachable now, no? Like a proper bathhouse patron instead of a grumpy surgeon!"
Penguin snickers from nearby, splashing a bit of water in approval. "It suits you, Captain! Very intimidating!"
Law exhales a long, slow breath through his nose, the sound vibrating deep in his chest. "This is... unacceptable," he mutters, his German accent thickening slightly as his irritation peaks. "Shachi, if you do not remove that ridiculous thing this instant, I will demonstrate exactly how 'approachable' I can be with a Room." Despite his threat, he doesn't move to knock the duck off.
His inner thoughts are a chaotic swirl of conflicting impulses. Why did I agree to come here? he thinks bitterly, though his pulse quickens when he feels the gentle touch of hands near his face. He wants to push them away, to reassert the distance that keeps his crew and his own vulnerabilities at bay. But there is something disarming about the way they laugh, a lightness that cuts through his usual brooding tension. When they reach out to help pull his hair back, his muscles betray him, relaxing just a fraction under their touch. The contact is warm, intimate amidst the surrounding chaos, and for a terrifying moment, he finds himself wanting to lean into it rather than recoil.
Bepo, floating nearby like a massive white marshmallow, immediately bows his head. "I am so sorry, Captain! Shachi, you shouldn't tease him so much while he is trying to relax!" The polar bear's voice is soft and apologetic, his dark eyes darting nervously between Law's scowl and the laughing crew. "I am sorry for the disturbance..."
Jean Bart remains motionless at the edge of the pool, a silent, dark sentinel. He doesn't speak, but his heavy gaze flicks toward Shachi with a warning glare that suggests if the duck stays on Law's head too long, he might be the one to fish it off.
Law's gaze shifts from the water to them, his expression caught between a genuine scowl and something softer, something almost unguarded. His dark eyes track their movement as they work with his hair, his breathing shallow.
"You are making this worse," Law says quietly, though the venom has drained from his voice, leaving only a resigned, low rumble.

Keys: plants and fungi
Aside from plants commonly seen in real life, One Piece world has many unique plant and fungi species that appear on different islands.

Main article: Kuuigosu Kuuigosu is a buoyant type of wood that is often used by coated ships. It first was utilized at Rain Dinners when Galdino floated on a plank to prevent from drowning.[1] It was first shown when the Straw Hat Pirates descended to Fish-Man Island.[2]
Arabasta Saga
Sakura (桜 or 櫻, Sakura?) (Hiragana: さくら; Katakana: サクラ) are ornamental cherry trees and with pink blossoms.
In One Piece, the sakura plays an important part mostly in the Drum Island Arc, where in Chopper's past, Dr. Hiriluk tried to make sakura bloom in the snow.[3] It eventually did, although he did not live to see it happen.[4]
Sakura is also found on Momoiro Island[5] and Merveille,[6] as well as on the island where Whitebeard and Roger discussed the Will of D. before the latter's death.[7]
In Japan, as sakura bloom in late March to early April, the exact period when a fiscal or school year ends and the next begins, sakura are associated with beginnings and endings. The same can be seen in One Piece on the scenes above mentioned, with the sakura representing the renamed Sakura Kingdom's new beginning and symbolizing Roger's life coming to an end. Japanese also appreciate sakura as they bloom without fail even after harsh winters, showing that anyone can rise after a fall, which can also be seen in One Piece through Dr. Hiriluk's faith that blooming sakura would save the country.
Amiudake
The Amiudake (アミウダケ, Amiudake?) is a lethal species of mushroom that grows in the Sakura Kingdom (originally Drum Kingdom). Anyone who ingests the fungus will die an hour after consumption. One is found by Chopper, who innocently assumed it was a "miracle cure" mushroom because of a misinterpretation about the Skull and Crossbones in a medical book in comparison to a Jolly Roger from Dr. Hiriluk, to cure his fatal disease. Dr. Hiriluk, who knew the mushroom was poisonous, made a soup out of the mushroom in his loving gratitude for his surrogate son, and then chose to commit suicide, rather than letting the poisonous mushroom Chopper gave him finish him off.
Mescal Cactus
Mescal Cactus (メスカルサボテン, Mesukaru Saboten?)[8] is a very small round cactus that causes hallucinations. It grows in the Sandora Desert.
It first appeared in Chapter 162 and Episode 98 when Luffy ate one instead of Sandora Lizard meat, without thinking about it. After eating it, Luffy thought he was seeing a tsunami and nearly attacked his crew. Fortunately, Chopper knew about the cactus and its effects and with his quick thinking, tranquilized Luffy. The effect had worn off by the time Luffy woke up.
It is called "Crazy Cactus" in the VIZ Media localization, Mezcal Cactus in the Funimation localization, and Wacky Cacti in the 4Kids Entertainment localization.
Some species of cactus have a psychoactive chemical within them called mescaline. This substance causes confusion of the senses (although not true hallucinations). This is most likely the origin of the mescal cactus's name.
Thousand-Year Trees (千年木, Sen'nen Boku?) are, according to Rice Rice, trees that grow on Eight Nine Island. He also proclaims that that's where the Thousand-Year Paper is made. It also lives for a thousand years, and that's where it got its name.[9]
Main article: Giant Jack Giant Jack is a giant beanstalk in the center of Upper Yard. Going through the center of the once-great city of Shandora, Giant Jack towers over all of Skypiea. God's Shrine rests upon an island cloud that the Giant Jack goes through, but first there is still a deserted cloud where Zoro, Wyper, and Ohm have their showdown.[10] The Golden Belfry was knocked up by Giant Jack and resides on a cloud nearby.[11]
Kona Tree
Kona Tree (コナの木, Kona no Ki?) is a type of tree found on Jaya and other areas.[12]
Kona Trees are tall and possess thin trunks and leafy branches.[12]
Within the bark of this tree is a substance known as Conine (コニーネ, Konīne?). More than 400 years ago, a South Blue botanist discovered that this substance could be used as an antidote to cure the Tree Fever disease.[13]
On Jaya, Mont Blanc Noland was able to use the Conine from a local Kona Tree to to treat the infected Shandia people.[14]
Oda confirmed in SBS Volume 32 that "Conine" and "Kona Tree" are inspired by Quinine (キニーネ, Kinīne?) found in the bark of Cinchona (キナの木, Kina no Ki?) genus of plants, which is used to treat diseases such as malaria and babesiosis. He altered the name and mixed in fantasy elements due to not wanting to directly reference serious real-world diseases.[15]
Interestingly, a chemical known as Conine does in fact exist; an alternate spelling for the poisonous alkaloid in Conium maculatum, also known as poison hemlock.
Tree of Knowledge
Main article: Tree of Knowledge The Tree of Knowledge was a gigantic 5,000-year-old tree located on the island of Ohara which served as a library and a hub for archaeologists from around the world.[16] It was destroyed by the World Government via a Buster Call.
Summit War Saga Yarukiman Mangrove The Yarukiman Mangrove (ヤルキマン・マングローブ, Yarukiman Mangurōbu?) are giant striped trees that have extremely long roots that reach all the way to the bottom of the sea, 10,000 meters down.[17] Seventy-nine of these trees make up the entire Sabaody Archipelago; so far, this is the only place they are known to grow.[18] They are called the "Hustle Muscle Mangrove" in the Funimation adaptations.
Each tree of the Yarukiman Mangrove is capable of producing a special tree sap resin. This resin is filled with air when the trees "breathe out" through cellular respiration and photosynthesis. This results in the resin forming bubbles that float through the air.[18] The resin bubbles are solid enough that someone can jump on them without popping them, however they are also completely permeable, allowing a person to ride in or store things inside of them without the bubble popping when they pass through.
These bubbles can only exist in and around the Archipelago's atmosphere or underwater. When they are removed from their native environment, they will pop immediately. Due to the fact that this knowledge is not widely known outside Sabaody, many of the local shop keepers in the archipelago often sell bubble-based merchandise to unsuspecting tourists who do not know that these products will pop outside the archipelago.[19]
The World Nobles use such bubbles as air helmets during their visit in the Archipelago, in order to protect themselves from "breathing the same air as commoners", while also taking advantage of the bubble's permeable nature, such as by eating ice cream through it, something that couldn’t be done through a regular helmet.[20]
The resin is also used for Coating ships, allowing them to submerse to incredible depths and move freely under water.[21] This process is necessary for ships attempting to go to Fish-Man Island.[22]
The tree's name is a pun on the Japanese phrase, "Yaru Ki Manman", which means "to be pumped up" or "motivated".
Contrary to regular mangroves whose roots are above or below the sea level depending on the tides, the top of the Yarukiman Mangrove's roots are never underwater.

Luffy covered in Body Mushrooms. Luffy covered in Body Mushrooms.
Body Mushroom (カラダカラキノコガハエルダケ, Karada kara kinoko ga haeru dake?, literally meaning "Mushrooms Growing from the Body Shroom") VIZ: "Body Parasite Mushroom" is a species of mushroom that grows on Amazon Lily.
If a person eats the mushroom, many mushrooms will start growing on their body which can be fatal. To cure them, one has to pull the mushrooms out of the person, followed by the area being burned to destroy the roots.
Luffy ate one thinking it was Laughing Mushroom, but he was soon unconscious and covered in mushrooms so the Kujas pulled them out and burned him to remove the mushrooms.[23]
It is called the Body Parasite Mushroom in the Viz localization and the Parasite Mushroom in the Funimation subs.
The medical treatment of "burning" the mushroom to get it off is indeed a natural cure for several biological diseases that grow on the skin. However, this is normally done with acids rather than with fire as the Kuja used, though in some cultures burning the skin with fire was indeed used as a cure for such diseases.
This may be a reference to Cordyceps, a genus of parasitic fungi that kills insects by growing out of their bodies.
Laughing Mushroom
The Laughing Mushroom (ワライダケ, Warai-dake?) is a mushroom that induces the consumer to laugh happily out loud. It is perfect for those who are depressed and wish for a good time.
Anger Mushroom The Anger Mushroom is a mushroom that causes the consumer bouts of rage. An effective counter to this effect is eating a Laughing Mushroom.
Crying Mushroom The Crying Mushroom (ナキダケ, Naki-dake?) is a mushroom that causes the consumer bouts of weeping. An effective counter to this effect is eating a Laughing Mushroom.[24]
Stomach Baron
Stomach Baron (ストマックバロン, Sutomakku Baron?) is a species of giant carnivorous seaborne plants that form the chains of "islands" in Boin Archipelago. Due to their large size and having forests growing on their body, the Barons are often mistaken as islands.[25]
The forests have "plants" that are made of a variety of highly nutritional and delicious food in the middle of the island (which is actually the "mouth" of the Barons) luring prey (including sea kings) to venture there before the Barons consume them.[26]
The concept of the Stomach Baron is very similar to the Gourmetica insularis described in the 1999 novel "Die 13½ Leben des Käpt’n Blaubär“ (キャプテン・ブルーベアの13と1/2の人生, Kyaputen burūbea no 13 to 1/2 no jinsei?) by German author Walter Moers, which has been translated into Japanese by Kyōko Hirano.[27]
Weather Ball Weather Ball (天候ウェザーボール, Wezā Bōru?) is the most important invention on Weatheria. They grow in Weather Patches (天候畑, Tenkō Hata?) and have a similar appearance to snow globes, with what appears to be various forms of weather inside.[28][29]
Nami stole some of these from Weatheria, and later learned how to use them and turn them into weapons. According to Haredas, this is particularly dangerous, as they are capable of causing chaos around the world.[29]
The Weather Balls can also be used to store little pieces of clouds in them. When a few Weather Balls with clouds are combined, a big cloud is formed. The cloud can also shoot lightning. Nami used such a feature to attack the Fake Straw Hat Crew, launching a miniature lightning storm to electrocute them.[30] As indicated by her studies under Haredas, she successfully turned them into a weapon, incorporating them into the Sorcery Clima-Tact.
Weather Balls first appeared in Chapter 592 and Episode 506, but the details were not made clear until Haredas explained them to Nami during her two years of study.[28]

Pop Greens
Main article: Pop Green Pop Green are the seeds of hostile plants found in the forest of "Greenstone" on Boin Archipelago. They can grow from seeds to full-sized plants in moments.[31]
Sunlight Tree Eve lighting up Fish-Man Island.
Main article: Sunlight Tree Eve Sunlight Tree Eve (陽樹イブ, Yōju Ibu?) is a colossal tree that absorbs sunlight and transfers it to its roots that also supply air to the ocean floor through respiration.[32]
Elegant Sunflower
Elegant Sunflowers (エレガントサンフラワー, Ereganto Sanfurawā?)[33] are luminescent sunflowers, which have seen in Dressrosa. The flowers produce a bright yellow glow that illuminates their surroundings.[33] They first appear in Chapter 738 and Episode 671.
These flowers are used to illuminate the interior of the SMILE Factory and to provide light for the trees growing inside the building. The flowers are grown upside down in the middle of the dome of the roof, having the flowers facing towards the trees.[33]
Whole Cake Island Saga Whale The Whale (クジラ, Kujira?), as its name indicates, is a gigantic, whale-shaped tree and a major landmark in the Mokomo Dukedom. It secretly houses one of the Road Poneglyphs necessary to reach Laugh Tale.[34]
Kingbaum.
The Soru Soru no Mi is capable of infusing souls into plants, as such, there are several plant-based Homies living around Totto Land. A particular example is the Whole Cake Island's Seducing Woods, a forest area that includes many tree and flower homies and was itself ruled by Kingbaum, a giant tree homie.
Wano Country Saga Evil-Purging Herb The Evil-Purging Herb (邪含草, Jagansō?) is a medicinal herb located in Wano Country that is capable of counteracting ingested poison to an extent. Tsurujo has access to those herbs for tea-brewing and provided some for Tama following her falling ill from drinking poisoned water from a river.[35]
Elbaph's Treasure Tree Adam.
Main article: Treasure Tree Adam Treasure Tree Adam (宝樹アダム, Hōju Adamu?) is a mythical tree that sustains Elbaph's Warland Kingdom, where the famed warrior giants live.
Its wood is considered the strongest, highest-quality wood in the world. Its immense rarity makes it highly valuable, being considered a great treasure. Occasionally, the wood is sold on the black market, at a very high price given its value. Franky managed to purchase some for Beli200,000,000.[36] It is called "Jewel Tree Adam" in the English localization.
Yggdrasil.
Yggdrasil is a massive tree located in the Land of Gods. It is based on the Yggdrasil of Norse mythology.[37]
Main article: Mori Mori no Mi The Mori Mori no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows the users to create, control, and transform into plant life. It was eaten by Aramaki, better known as Admiral Ryokugyu.
Main article: Mosa Mosa no Mi The Mosa Mosa no Mi is a non-canon Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows users to control the growth rate of plants and manipulate them. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Z and was eaten by Binz.
Main article: Noko Noko no Mi The Noko Noko no Mi is a non-canon Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create and control poisonous mushroom spores. It first appeared in Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in Winter, Miracle Sakura and was eaten by Musshuru.
Lily Carnation was a carnivorous plant that developed a symbiotic relationship with Omatsuri. Despite its normal, harmless looking form, it is a grotesque, vicious creature in reality, using Omatsuri and plant puppets of his deceased crew to lure in and feast on unknowing pirates. It first appeared in Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island.
Daft Green (ダフトグリーン, Dafuto Gurīn?) is a species of a tree that exists in the flying archipelago, Merveille. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Strong World.[38]
This tree releases toxic spores that can kill both animals and people, although animals can notice it by its strong smell before getting infected. After being infected, the person starts to develop green skin spots. After some time, the spores spread through the victim's body (it happens faster if the victim keeps inhaling them) until it reaches the heart, causing the victim to die. The only discovered cure for Daft Green is a species of flower called IQ that exists in Merveille as well. Both Xiao's grandmother and Nami were infected by its spores.
When arranged well, the daft green can serve as protective barrier. It was seen surrounding Shiki's headquarters and a village where Xiao resides, enabling them to live peacefully without being disturbed by the animals that roam freely on Merveille.
Daft Green Infobox A Daft Green tree. Daft green Nami infected with the tree's toxic spores. On Rusukaina, there is a type of tree that very much resembles the Daft Green trees. Oda explained in an SBS that even though the trees are related, they are not exactly the same species, and no poisonous spores are emitted from the Rusukaina tree.[39]
Both the Daft Green trees and the trees found on Rusukaina heavily resemble members of the Adansonia genus of trees, commonly known as baobab trees.
The name of the cure for the infection, "IQ", referring to a person's level of intelligence. "Daft" can be used to describe someone who is foolish.
A green tinge in the skin is sometimes associated with nausea and sickness. A physically ill person is said to look "green around the gills".
An IQ plant.
IQ (I.Q.アイキュー, Ai Kyū?) is a rare species of flower only known in the flying archipelago, Merveille. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Strong World. Its presence makes the animals develop their brains and evolve depending on the environment. This plant was later used by Dr. Indigo to create the SIQ, a dangerous version of this flower, evolving the animals into often larger and even more dangerous animals.[40] IQ is also the only cure to the poisonous spores released by the Daft Green plant.
"I.Q." is the abbreviation for "intelligence quotient", a standardized measurement of one's intelligence. The flower's ability to develop one's brains and evolution is a reference to this.
The Drowsy Mushroom (へたれダケ, Hetare-dake?) is a type of mushroom that grows on Kinoko Island and was discovered very recently. Anyone who eats it will briefly lose consciousness. When they come to, they will not have any motivation to do anything. As they are not actually poisonous, even those with high poison resistance (like Luffy) will fall victim to this effect. Komei tricked members of the Straw Hats and Foxy Pirates into eating them during the Davy Back Fight so he could capture them.[41]
The Rebound Mushroom (もどるダケ, Modoru-dake?) is a type of mushroom which also grows on Kinoko Island. It will return anyone who eats it to their former state, making it the only antidote to the Drowsy Mushroom. Chopper discovered it growing on the skin of Kinoconda, an animal native to Kinoko Island.[41]
The Wake-shroom (ネズキノコ, Nezukinoko?) are poisonous mushrooms that allow people to stay awake for as long as a person eats them, even if they do activities that would normally completely drain their stamina. However, should they stop consuming it, they would die due to its poisonous contents. The mushroom also affects one's mentality and judgment and emotional state, causing them to act irrationally, or even make insane decisions. Uta continuously consumed these mushrooms in order to counteract her Uta Uta no Mi's stamina draining properties and keep her power active for as long as possible and then pass away into her Uta world.[42] The mushroom's mouse-like design is a pun on 寝ず (nezu, meaning "sleepless") and 鼠 (nezumi, meaning "mouse, rat").
Amanita Truffle (ベニテング・トリュフ, Benitengu Toryufu?) is a type of truffle that grows in the Kinoko Islands in the East Blue. Known as the "King of Mushrooms" (キノコの王, Kinoko no Ō?), they are renowned for their incredible flavor. However, they are also extremely rare, with even the Baratie staff being unable to finding any.[43]
Emperor Carrot The Emperor Carrot (皇帝ニンジン, Kōtei Ninjin?) is an herb that grows on Royal Sun Island. It is one of the ingredients in making Ryuumonkou. When taken alone, it has incredible healing properties, and is supposedly capable of healing all illnesses and wounds; when taken by Win and Rose, it apparently brought them back from near death.[44]
Dokudamin The Dokudamin (ドクダミン, Dokudamin?) is an herb that grows in Great Ground's forests, where it used by the local wildlife to make nests. It is one of the ingredients in making Ryuumonkou.
Doriano Doriano (ドリアーノ, Doriāno?) is an herb that grows on Festa Circle, where it grows in the king's garden. It is one of the ingredients in making Ryuumonkou.
Surprised Mushroom The Surprised Mushroom (びっくりキノコ, Bikkuri kinoko?) is a mushroom species that appears in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. It first takes a rather small appearance, but when touched, it expands quickly to a larger size, causing whatever touched it to be repelled away. In the game, it is used to jump on and launch players up to high places. Its color and shape vary between blue with white spots and a rounded appearance, and orangish-brown with a curvier appearance, depending on the zone in which it is found.
Blue Surprised Mushroom A blue Surprised Mushroom. Brown Surprised Mushroom A brown Surprised Mushroom.
The Cannibal Flower (人食い花, Hitokuibana?) is a carnivorous plant species that appears in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. It is almost as large as a person and has two jaw-like leaves with spines along the edges. It hides underneath the ground to close upward on anything that touches it, with only the spines visible beneath the dirt. They are resistant to physical damage and sharp objects like swords. It appears in the Jungle Zone.
The Burning Tree (燃えている木, Moete iru ki?) is a tree species that is perpetually on fire but never burns up completely. It appears in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. It is unknown how it sustains its flames without disintegrating, but cutting it down yields burnt wood. It appears in the Ruins Zone and Dimension Zone.
Doku Flower The Doku Flower (ドクの花, Doku no hana?) is a poisonous flower species that appears in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. It cyclically expels clouds of poisonous gas that can sicken anything that comes in contact with them. It appears in the Jungle Zone.
Doku Flower A Doku Flower. Doku Flower Poison A Doku Flower expelling poison. Electric Plant An electric plant. An electric plant.
An unnamed, electricity-emitting plant appears in the Dimension Zone in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. In the game, it is referred to as the Mysterious Plant (謎の植物, Nazo no shokubutsu?). It shocks anything that touches it and is able to emit electrically charged blasts in a close range around it. Before the blasts, a yellow shimmer spot will appear on the ground, warning of an impending strike. It behaves similarly to Enel's El Thor. The plant contains seeds inside that can be used for medicinal and culinary purposes.
Main article: Great Tree The Great Tree is an island-sized, flora-based organism created by a now-lost civilization over a millennia ago for the purpose of electing future leaders through ordeals. After failing to live up to her purpose and being thrown away into the sea, she eventually came to rest in the latter half of Paradise.[45][46]
The Ambling Stonecrop (アルケマンネングサ?) is a giant plant, resembling a Venus flytrap. They live in the desert around Nanohana[47] and the Boin Archipelago, though they're implied to be a slightly different strain. Ambling Stonecrops from the Boin Archipelago require Bo Bo Bird egg fertilizer and access to moonlight to grow.[48]
The Burning Stonecrop (モヤセマンネングサ?) is a giant red plant, resembling the Ambling Stonecrop. It is a fire version of the Ambling Stonecrop, and accordingly uses fire-based abilities.[47]
