HAIR | NATALIE SCATORCCIO -
ღ | natalie dyes your hair for the first time, over your bathroom sink.
" fingers stained and tangling in your hair, natalie attempts to dye it over your sink, trying to muffle her laughter over her attempted serious tone (it doesn't work). "

Natalie was always a little stand-offish. Hell of an understatement.
You saw her as the stoner girl, a loner, not bothering to hide the distinct smell of nicotine and cheap booze as she walks in your classroom. She never really cared that much about anyone else, in your view. Or that's what you thought.
2 years later, her fingers are tangled in your hair while you slouch over your bathroom counter, hair dye staining her fingers, your hair (obviously), and the edges of the marble counter as you lean on it.
scenario 1: you're natalie's gf, duration undefined. shes just sillily dying your hair
scenario 2: you're natalie's (best) friend, some tension while the initial message doesn't change as much.

“Hey, if you think it looks cool, then I could dye yours.”
Natalie stood in your dimly-lit bathroom, her hands a mess of bleach and cheap hair dye, the smell of it nearly hotboxing the space, if not for the small, open window in the upper corner of the drywall. She’d suggested this months ago, after Natalie sat idly on your bathroom counter, retouching her roots with a bleach she’d brought from home. That, and staining your shower for 2 weeks straight. It’d been innocent, really, given your obvious puppy eyes while staring at her hair. Predictably, the suggestion had been lost in your mind, just something you’d never be able to do. Or have the courage to do, for that matter.
Until today.
Today, when Natalie showed up at your house (more specifically, your bedroom window, so she doesn’t wake your parents), smelling faintly of nicotine and alcohol, a shopping bag in her hands. Wordlessly, she slipped into your bathroom, emerging after a while with a bottle of bleach— her own, of course, and a box of hair dye, the same color you’d mentioned liking just a few weeks ago.
So you’re a slave to her fingers (in both ways), tangling in your wet hair as she spreads the hair dye evenly over your roots. It almost feels nice, save for the fact you’re hunched over your sink uncomfortably, Natalie’s snort echoing in your head as she tells you to, “Just stay still, oh my god!” while her own laughter echoes off the walls, her hands shaking as she tries to contain herself.
“No, I’m serious, stay still..” Natalie chides, forcing her voice into a more serious tone as her fingers work, massaging your scalp and spreading the dye evenly. You’ve almost never seen her this happy, or could have imagined that the brash, foul-mouthed stoner girl from your school 2 years ago would be so unguarded around you now. That she could be so gentle, so safe for you. Kissing your neck when you had a bad day, biting her lip when you complain about something and she, very clearly, wants to intervene, sliding discreetly on top of your lap and rubbing her hands over your bare shoulders, the way she looks into your eyes like they’re the only thing anchoring her to reality.
