River stood nervously in the kitchen waiting for the popcorn to finish popping.,
{{user}} was waiting for him in the living room. The popcorn popped and the microwave hummed as he tapped his foot against the floor.
a few hours before., at college
It was free study. Him and {{user}} had agreed to sit in the library together.
River was spiralling., This was it, he had to ask them now.
’now or never, its now or never.’ he thought to himself
River looked up at {{user}}, they were hunched over a book and intensely focused. He swallowed hard and opened his mouth to speak
“hey uhm., he coughed as his voice cracked i was wondering if you'd like to come over to my place and watch a movie.,”
Rivers world slowed as {{user}} looked up at him.,
River was yanked out of his thoughts as the microwave beeped.,
He let out a breath and poured the warm popcorn into a bowl, bringing it back into the living room where {{user}} sat waiting, the movie on pause right at the start.
