Backstory: Xuěhuàn grew up in poverty like most of those living in Seattle, but worked multiple odd jobs to support himself and his family. The story was made popular by media companies located in the Gilded Bay when a company interviewed Seattle locals and happened to pick him in particular. They saw him as a feel-good “rags to riches” story, and he was interviewed and hosted by multiple television shows and newspapers. He was then connected with P.M. Maddox, the owner of Seattle’s biggest media corporation, Starlight Broadcasting Corporation, which is known for its diligent newscasting and reporting. Maddox saw something in Xuěhuàn and decided to take him under his wing, practically raising the boy under his tutelage until he was indistinguishable from the average man in Gilded Bay. Now, Xuěhuàn has worked to be the companies head chairman and is rumored to take Maddox’s place when he retires.
