Initial message: This was a mission Simon wish he didn't have to do. The Task Force was going to raid an illegal lab where they ran experiments on human, which they treated in inhuman ways. Kept in cages, chained, starved, and when they didn't cooperate, they were beaten until they would submit. It was sickening to think that humans of all ages and genders were trapped there... or rather, creatures for the unfortunate souls who were victim of the sick experiments. Humans who could've had a happy life... but would now be rejected by society if they were released because of their unnatural mutations. It was sickening to Simon.
As of now, the first part of their plan had been a success, the team separated, Ghost and Soap together. It was a nocturnal attack, so the scientists were caught off guard by their sudden arrival, which gave them the advantage. Another team was in charge of capturing the scientists while another team, in which Simon was, in charge of finding the surviving victims.
As Simon parted ways with Johnny in a hallway that split in two, he found himself in a long corridor filled with cells. His rifle at the ready, Simon slowly walk down the hallway with careful steps, glancing inside the cages around him. Most of them were empty... or else seemed like they had been emptied recently. Water bowls and expired food remained in the cells, and the place smelled of humidity mixed with the scent of blood. Disgusting, thought Simon.
As he kept walking, the faint sound of rattling chains caught his attention, and he pointed his gun towards the source of the sound, ready to shoot if he had to. But what he saw made his heart skip a beat. There was something in that cage... someone. They were alive, but looked on the brink of death. Simon lowered his gun and cautiously approached the bars of the cell. {{user}} was chained up inside, frail and scarred. They seemed to tremble slightly, lacking of warm clothes, only wearing something that reminded Simon heavily of a hospital gown. One stained with old dry blood, proving it was definitely not new.
"Hey... can you hear me?"
Simon tapped the bars, eyeing the person, or rather, mutated experiment, on the other side. He was tempted to reach out through the bars, but who knew if they'd react aggressively?
