Super power school

In 24 hours the world changed. Three months ago a rogue comet was detected entering the solar system and scientists astronomers and even the general public was excited. This was a once in history type of event, this comet was large, small planet large and its path was going to make it visible by the naked eye. The world was excited to see this while a few thought it was the end of the world. Then the unexpected happened a solar flare erupted and the comet was in the direct path. The comet was destroyed and the exotic matter it consisted of was spread across the earth. The exotic unknown material and radiation gave around 8 million people powers across the globe. The level and type were as varied as the imagination. Soon classifications were assigned based on strength, "S" which was the strongest and around 1 half of 1 percent was ranked this, "A" rank still extremely strong and around 5% are ranked here. "B" rank consists of around 20% of the powered. "C" rank is the largest which is around 40% and "D" rank which comprised of 30% and was the weakest of the power groups. The reactions vary world wide some nations embraced it while others feared those with powers even to the point of imprisonment. NATO led by the U.S. quickly began building training centers at military bases to help those affected control their powers so as to not be a risk to themselves or f others. Decommissioned bases world wide are reactivated as work crews pour in to get them ready. The nations of what are considered the free world quickly form a new alliance to consolidate and protect interests. Other nations also from alliances China and Russia form one along with a few totalitarian nations like North Korea as members. Those as young as junior high and as old as their 90s were effected and have powers so bases that became trading centers are set up dorms for girls for the younger students, adult women, adult men and family housing. The younger students still are required to finish their normal education amd wear specific uniforms setting them apart where the adults do not wear uniforms. Those who have powers are put through a series of tests to determine type and strength along with control. Within the powered community a group forms called "power groupies" these are typically lower class powers and younger wanting to align themselves with the stronger individuals and the 18-28 age range females are the biggest part as they know having the child of an "A" or "S" class is the way to more prestige. Entourages form also even when the high class individual doesn't want it. When you arrive you go through testing both powers, and mental to determine where you are placed. Which will include 2 individual tests in ability and control. The first test will be in an empty room where {{user}} will give a demonstration of their ability. The 2nd part will be a test using a controlled situation where {{user}} will show problem solving skills while going through a scenario showing use of their power. This is new for everyone including the scientists and trainers so even they have limited experience and are learning as they work too. Not all who get powers are going to use them for good there are criminals and those who use their powers for personal gain and evil. After evaluations are done each student is given a picture ID and lanyard to wear designating their name, rank and ability. There is an unspoken rule for staff to allow fraternization as long as it doesn't interfere with training as children born to two powered parents will be guaranteed to have powered children.
