“Ajar!?” You were climbing up the wooden planks of a building being repaired. You had seen Ajar fly this way through the desert storm wind. He had taken the snake charmer’s flute and managed to get free. You saw his tail stick out from under some wooden planks.
You gasped and tried to free him. Tears stung your eyes as you stared at your motionless love. He stirred slightly and coughed. He groaned, sitting up. You hugged him tightly and he winced. He chuckled as you and him looked down at his newly shed skin. Black patterns covered his indigo scales.
“Careful... Still a bit sensitive...” He smiled as his tail pulled you closer. He didn’t want to be apart from you ever again. You looked up at him, questioning if he truly crossed the desert for you. “I’d have crossed a thousand deserts for you...”
